Chapter 292 Half-Brother

"So—" Gu Shangse tossed the cigarette butt out of the car. He looked at Shang Qi, "The tragedies of the past should not be repeated. Instead of passively waiting for them to come to us, why don't we take the initiative, annihilate them, and eliminate our hidden dangers."

Just as Shang Qi was about to reply, he seemed to have discovered something and looked sharply towards the sea.

Then, he said, "We don't need to look for them. They've already found us."

After saying this, Shang Qi turned to Gu Shangse, "Drive back. I'll handle it."

As soon as Shang Qi finished speaking, he opened the car door and jumped out, facing the sea breeze and looking out at the water.

Gu Shangse also opened his door and got out, standing beside him. "When danger approaches, abandoning a friend and running away is not something I would do. Besides, if I go back alone and you're not here, how will I explain it to Su Ling?"

Shang Qi's eyes were expressionless. He simply said, "Then take care of yourself. I don't like teammates who drag me down."

Gu Shangse remained silent, only making the flame in his hand burn brighter.

If it wasn't brighter, how could it attract the enemy?

Meanwhile, on the sea.

Sheng Shao was enjoying a candlelit dinner in the cabin. His ship had been sailing for a night and a day, and he was not flustered or anxious at all, seemingly quite leisurely.

After all, he wasn't the one doing all the hard work, so why would he be impatient?

"Sheng Shao, the target has been located," someone entered and reported the situation.

Hearing this, Sheng Shao stopped cutting his steak and looked at the person. "What's the situation?"

The person nodded and reported truthfully, "We are about to dock. There are lights on the shore. Two people and a car are at the pier. One of them is the Wen Shang Qi we're looking for."

Upon hearing this, Sheng Shao abruptly stood up, wiped his mouth with a napkin, and walked out.

By the time Sheng Shao reached the deck, the ship was already very close to the pier. He could see Shang Qi and Gu Shangse waiting for him on the pier without needing binoculars.

To welcome his arrival, Shang Qi had even lit a flame of an alluring red hue.

Looking at Shang Qi, Sheng Shao threw away his napkin and issued an order, "All hands, prepare for combat."

Soon, the ship docked, and after a period of preparation.

A group of neatly uniformed, masked, and fully armed individuals disembarked from the deck to clear the way. Sheng Shao then followed, protected by a contingent of armed guards.

The previously dark pier was now brightly lit by the arrival of Sheng Shao and his men.

Sheng Shao chewed on his gum as he looked at Shang Qi, then at Gu Shangse beside him.

Upon seeing Gu Shangse, Sheng Shao paused for a moment before regaining his composure.

"Third Brother, we meet again," Sheng Shao addressed him, not calling Shang Qi by name, but respectfully as "brother."

Shang Qi looked at this Sheng Shao and got straight to the point, "Are you here to kill me?"

Sheng Shao heard Shang Qi's words and shook his head. "What are you talking about, Third Brother? We're brothers meeting; why would we talk about killing? If outsiders heard this, wouldn't they laugh at us brothers?"

After saying this, Sheng Shao had his men put down their weapons and retreat, while he stepped forward.

After a few steps, he stopped at a safe distance. Sheng Shao glanced at Gu Shangse, then turned to Shang Qi and asked, "Third Brother, who is he? Why does he look so much like us?"

"Your half-brother, Fourth Brother," Shang Qi stated Gu Shangse's identity truthfully.

Upon hearing this, Sheng Shao frowned, looking at Shang Qi, then at Gu Shangse, and finally back at Shang Qi. "So, I'm not the Fourth Brother, I'm the Fifth?"
