Sheng Shao (Wen Shangcheng)'s focus was a little different.
Shang Qi didn't answer Wen Shangcheng. Wen Shangcheng, however, started cursing to himself, "The old man really had a wild life, sowing his seeds all over the country. It was a wise decision for Big Brother to blow the old man away before the apocalypse. Otherwise, I'd go back right now and blow his genitals off, ruining his reputation in his twilight years."
After cursing, Wen Shangcheng realized it wasn't the time for such talk.
Looking at Shang Qi, Wen Shangcheng spoke, "Third Brother, it's really hard to find you. I almost got lost at sea and couldn't see you."
Shang Qi didn't want to waste words with Wen Shangcheng. He directly asked, "Are you back to tell Wen Shang He for me that Wen Shang Qian has died without a burial place, or should I send you into the sea to feed the fish and have a grand reunion with Wen Shang Qian in the underworld?"
When Wen Shangcheng heard Shang Qi's words, his face instantly changed.
He had witnessed firsthand how capable his third brother was.
His eldest and second brothers feared him and wanted him gone, and he couldn't afford to provoke him.
If he was asked to go back to his eldest brother, he didn't want to.
Ever since his third brother left, his eldest brother had become increasingly suspicious day by day. He feared being caught in the crossfire.
Thinking of this, Wen Shangcheng said, "Third Brother, I'm not going anywhere. I want to follow you."
Although his third brother was even more terrifying than his eldest brother, his third brother didn't kill people indiscriminately, and he reasoned with them.
As if trying to claim credit, Wen Shangcheng added, "Third Brother, when I came to find you, I blew up the base in Lu Cheng. Their负责人 and those psychics are all finished. Did I do a good job?"
Shang Qi listened to Wen Shangcheng's words and was momentarily at a loss as to what to say about this younger brother.
Should he praise him? He really couldn't bring himself to. After all, blowing up the base meant building another one, which would be time-consuming, labor-intensive, and thankless.
But if he didn't praise him? After all, he had solved a problem that they were supposed to solve.
Just as they were at a stalemate, the sound of a small electric scooter echoed from afar.
Hearing the sound at the dock, Shang Qi and the others turned their heads in unison. They saw a small electric scooter with its headlights on approaching them from not far away.
Before the scooter even reached them, Shang Qi already knew who was coming.
He turned to look at Wen Shangcheng and said, "Your people, put away your weapons."
With that, Shang Qi turned around and walked towards the small electric scooter that was heading towards him.
He walked quickly, almost running.
When Shang Qi spoke, Wen Shangcheng had already instructed his subordinates to put away their weapons and obediently retreat behind him. He then stood on his tiptoes, trying to get a clear look at who was riding the small electric scooter, making his third brother so tense.
Gu Shangse saw Wen Shangcheng's reaction and said at the right time, "The person coming is your Third Sister-in-law, the one your Third Brother cherishes most. If you want to stay on this island and not return to your murderous eldest brother, be polite later."
Since they were short-handed here, it would be a good option if these people could be kept to work for them.
Upon hearing Gu Shangse's words, Wen Shangcheng raised an eyebrow and leaned in to try and put his arm around Gu Shangse's shoulder.
But unfortunately, he missed. Gu Shangse dodged.
Wen Shangcheng didn't feel awkward. He touched his nose and stood shoulder to shoulder with Gu Shangse, looking forward. "Are you really my half-brother, Fourth Brother? What's your name?"
"Gu Shangse." After stating his name, Gu Shangse raised his hand and made a shushing gesture. "Shh, don't speak."
Wen Shangcheng pouted. He wanted to gossip more but had to reluctantly close his mouth.
Su Ling stopped her small electric scooter and dismounted, standing in front of Shang Qi. Her gaze drifted to the warship behind him, then back to Shang Qi. Her heart suddenly tightened. "You're leaving, aren't you?"
