Chapter 540: Meeting a new sister
“Big sister was right,” — Arabel thought, looking at the destroyed cocoon and remembering the ray of black-and-white light that pierced the sky. She doubted if her house, being an artifact, could withstand such an impact, and she didn’t want to test it at all.
Milena’s mind was in a fog. It took her a while to come to her senses, and when it finally happened, the first thing she did was start looking around, trying to figure out where she was. It took her a moment to realize that she was floating in the sky, completely naked, and that four massive wings had grown on her back.
When this realization finally dawned on her, and she felt four wings behind her back, she began to fall from surprise and shock, but she managed to pull herself together and did not fall to the ground, stopping in time.
To her surprise, Milena found that she was very good at using her wings and flying, and this confused her.
While Milena was confused, the rest of the Valkyries appeared around her. They surrounded her and began to study her closely.
Milena, noticing the strange women next to her, sat down and tried to cover her curvy body.
“Hehe, little sister, there’s no need to be so shy,” Esma laughed, watching Milena’s attempts to hide her beauty. Esma was a little jealous of Milena’s curvy curves and especially her long legs.
Sierra and Lucinda silently watched Milena, and like Esma, their gaze lingered a little longer on her long legs. Even they, though secretly, envied these two beautiful legs.
Milena felt uncomfortable under the gaze of unfamiliar women.
“Here, cover yourself with this.” Arabel, pausing for a moment to let the older sisters come forward, appeared and handed Milena a cloak.
“Huh?” — Milena noticed Arabel and froze when she saw her.
Arabel no longer hid her identity under the mask of a ghost, appearing in front of Milena in her true form.
Milena’s long red hair and azure eyes instantly caught her attention, and she immediately recalled the events that took place in the North at the portal where she was abducted along with other Awakened Ones. Milena remembered the girl who came to their aid, but could not save her or the others.
“Arabel Morgan?” said Milena incredulously.
“Yes, it’s me,” Arabel nodded with a slight smile, still handing her the cloak.
Stunned, Milena took the cloak from her hands and covered herself with it. However, her thoughts were preoccupied with something else: she remembered what had happened in the North. Milena remembered a strange object, similar to a mask, with which Arabel pretended to be another person — Isabella White.
“Elsa, the Duchess of Darkness!” exclaimed Milena. “You were the one hiding behind her, weren’t you? Are you Elsa?”
“Yes, it was me,” Arabel confessed, no longer trying to hide in front of her. Ever since she took the Valkyrie potion, Milena has become a close person to her, sharing a part of her Valkyrie destiny.
“How could I not have guessed right away?” said Milena with a slight smile.
“Well, Milena, you already know who I am, but let me introduce myself to you properly, as is customary for Valkyries,” Arabel said. At the same moment, her red hair turned white, as did her eyes, and four snow-white wings appeared behind her back.
“I’m Arabel Morgan, the Ice Valkyrie,” she proudly introduced herself.
Arabel continued to consider her first Ice Valkyrie bloodline as her main one, along with the human one.
Milena, as if mesmerized, could not take her eyes off Arabel. In her human form, she was beautiful, but in the form of a Valkyrie, her beauty took on new shades. She was cold, and her gaze became more distant.
“Me, me, it’s my turn now,” Esma said, drawing Milena’s attention to herself.
Under Milena’s gaze, four sea-green wings appeared behind Esma.
“Little sister, let me introduce myself. I am Esma Waterial, a Diamond-ranked Water Valkyrie,” Esma introduced herself.
Milena was amazed by this turn of events. She had never imagined that she would meet a real Valkyrie.
Then, her gaze fell on two other women she didn’t know, and her heart trembled.
“Are they Valkyries too?” thought Milena, and this thought seemed incredible to her.
Meeting Milena’s gaze, Lucinda materialized her four wings made of light. They looked very much like Milena’s own two wings.
“Nice to meet you, little sister. I am Lucinda Lightial, a Diamond-ranked Light Valkyrie,” she introduced herself.
Milena’s heart started beating faster. The way the Valkyries treated her like a younger sister couldn’t help but move her.
At the end of her gaze, there was a black-haired beauty who stood out from all the other women. It was obvious that she was on a completely different level.
Six wings appeared behind Sierra’s back, which greatly surprised Milena.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you, little sister. I am Sierra Darkial, a Dark Valkyrie of Legendary rank,” Sierra said.
“Legendary rank?” asked Milena, her reaction was not as violent as Arabel had expected.
“Haha, Milena, if you count the Diamond Rank as the fifth, then the Legendary Rank is already the eighth rank,” Arabel explained. Hearing this, Milena widened her eyes, and her legs trembled in awe and a little fear.
Arabel watched her with a smile. It was exactly the reaction she had expected.
“Milena, stop trembling and don’t keep the older sisters waiting. Introduce yourself to them. After all, you’re a Valkyrie now,” Milena heard Arabel say in her head.
Seeing that all the women were looking at her attentively and waiting, Milena gathered her courage and straightened her shoulders.
“I’m Milena Orleans, and I…” she began, but stopped when she realized she still didn’t know what kind of Valkyrie she had turned into. Quickly opening her status and seeing the name of her new race, she was very surprised, but quickly pulled herself together.
“I am a Light-Dark Valkyrie of the Golden Rank,” she introduced herself after finishing her sentence.
Together with Milena, there were five Valkyries, except for baby Izzy, who also possessed the Lightning Valkyrie bloodline.
While the Valkyries were getting to know their new younger sister, they heard a familiar voice:
“And I was wondering where you had disappeared to.”
Turning around, everyone saw a black-haired beauty who was as beautiful as Sierra.
“Geminia,” — Arabel greeted her guest.
Geminia looked around the room, lingered a little on Milena and Essora, and looked at Arabel.
“Bera, is she back?” — she asked the question that worried her the most.
“Oh, she’s with Irene and Arslan,” Arabel replied and quickly added: “Wait a bit, I’ll get her.”
“Esma, go back to the capital and stay close to Irene and Arslan just in case, and I’ll call Bera,” Arabel asked.
“Hmm… okay,” Esma agreed with some reluctance.
“See you later, little sister,” — after saying goodbye, Esma returned back to the capital, while Sierra and Lucinda took Milena aside, leaving Arabel with Geminia.
