Chapter 185: Top 15
Chapter 185: Top 15
.
Qiyan City,
A month had passed since the day of the incident, and just as people were starting to calm down, the heavens struck again, this time creating a level of chaos even greater than the last, forcing all the surrounding cities to raise alerts.
Even in Qiyan, the situation wasn’t ideal, with many wondering if all these strange events were a sign of some imminent disaster. And although the city authorities tried to calm the citizens, it worked only to a certain extent.
That said, while some of the citizens were worried, there were still those who didn’t bother to worry too much about any of this.
And one of them was precisely Ye Ning, who continued her days as usual, moving between the daily management and supervision of her ever growing business, cultivation, and training with Lin Xian.
It had been more than a month since she had heard any news from her master, and although she had been worried at first, Lin Xian reassured her, saying that he was someone who wouldn’t die, even if the heavens decided to hunt him down.
Of course, this was based on fragments of the past life that Zhu Rong had shown her when they met some time ago, but observing him during this period, she could be certain that this guy could handle himself in difficult situations.
That said, she was still worried because of the recent strange events that had occurred.
From the fury of the heavens to the news of the incident at the secret realm, which turned out to be the inheritance of the first emperor, someone she knew all too well,
everything gave her a strange premonition.
But she could only set it aside for the moment; there wasn’t much she could do about it in her current condition.
On the other hand, Ye Ning also trusted the words of Lin Xian and her master, so she decided to put her mind at ease and continue her usual routine, advancing in both cultivation and the business she was running.
She made great progress in both,
in cultivation, she managed to reach the fourth stage with a good portion of her elemental cores at fourth stage aswell, making her strong enough to face anyone at this stage, and even some of the next stage, to a certain extent.
Just like her, the rest of the elf group never stopped training while performing their various tasks in the different professions Zhu Rong had assigned them, and they all reached the third stage, with the best among them already approaching the peak of the third stage.
In a few months, this group of elves had managed to reach a good level of cultivation, giving them at least a minimum personal strength to move around in this dangerous world without too much worry.
The same went for their secondary professions, which they had decided to specialize in. Their progress was good there too, with some of them excelling in particular, making the expansion of the business easier.
In this regard, Ye Ning had done an excellent job, keeping the progress of the various departments under control and gradually expanding them more and more, doubling productivity while maintaining an excellent level of quality for the grade and type of products they sold.
Even now, after all this time, they were still in first place when it came to selling products with an excellent quality to price ratio; their quality was always guaranteed, and their prices were always reasonable and within reach for most customers.
This allowed the business to flourish more and more, so much so that their daily profits were increasing exponentially, going from 20 high-grade spirit stones to a whopping 100 high-grade spirit stones on average after tax.
It goes without saying that this amount of daily profit was by no means little.
If before, with 20 high-grade spirit stones, they were already in the T20, now they had reached the T15 of the most prosperous businesses in Qiyan City.
If it weren’t for the fact that every next spot in the ranking required an increasingly higher leap, they would already be in the Top 10. But considering the increase in profits, getting there wasn’t so far off.
According to Ye Ning, in a month or two, they would finally enter the Top 10 of the list.
She had already begun considering various development plans, including the creation of additional branches, both within the vast city of Qiyan, where there were still many areas to cover to maximize profits, and in other cities.
For this plan, she had already started training some trusted people who would manage the branches, and she was waiting for the right opportunity to implement some of these plans.
That said, such rapid progress continued to attract more and more attention, bringing both admiration and malice, and even contempt from others.
So much so that, at a certain point, several other businesses had started to enter direct competition with them, offering lower prices and other advantages.
This worked at first, but it didn’t take long before people ignored them and returned to Ye Ning’s business.
This was because, although those competitors offered lower prices, the quality of their products was just as low; they couldn’t raise the quality too much due to the high costs, which would have overtaken the profits.
This made many leaders of those businesses wonder how this small brand, with such recent foundations, could have such high quality yet such good prices.
If it were them, they would already be bankrupt, yet this other side seemed only to prosper more and more.
This made everyone wonder what kind of experts they had, who were producing products of such high quality.
According to them, it must be just a few individuals working day and night, and the idea that there was an entire team of such prodigies for each production department didn’t even cross anyone’s mind.
After all, if such prodigies really existed, why would they stay there and not find jobs elsewhere with better pay and more freedom?
Of course, they couldn’t think that their salaries were already above average, and they would never consider that, regardless of pay, these workers, trained and grown by Zhu Rong and the others, had developed a sense of belonging and pride for this brand so high that it overrode such thoughts.
For many, such thing was just a fantasy that couldn’t be realized in reality, so no one even considered it.
After failing with competition through lower prices, they decided to take a more direct and aggressive approach, trying to sabotage the production laboratories and even attempting to kidnap and threaten some workers.
But who would have imagined that this approach would be far more disastrous than the first?
