Chapter 461 Double Buff

The python was too massive, an absolute behemoth to Su Ling and the others.

Not only was it difficult for them to deal with, but a single mistake would result in them being crushed into mincemeat.

The python was covered head to tail in fireballs that Su Ling had hurled and flaming arrows she had shot.

The fire that touched its skin and flesh could not be extinguished. After the outer layer of its skin was charred and turned to ash, it burrowed deeper.

The python writhed in agony, its roars echoing. In its pain, it thrashed wildly, causing the areas it affected to erupt in flames, turning the entire landscape into ruins.

A rampaging python was truly a formidable foe.

As if to prove the point, Chu Jin, unable to dodge in time, was swept away by the python's flaming tail in a brutal horizontal sweep.

Chu Jin was sent flying by this sweep, then slammed heavily into a tree.

Whether it was good luck or bad, his landing was right onto the branches of the tree trunk.

Otherwise, falling from such a height, even if he were the Zombie King, he wouldn't have avoided broken limbs.

Chu Jin was stuck in the tree, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

Fortunately, Su Ling’s phoenix fire was under her control and did not burn him, otherwise he would have been engulfed in flames by now.

Stuck in the tree, Chu Jin couldn't get down. Staying there was safe and he wouldn't be a hindrance.

Su Ling and Shang Qi were still engaged with the python. Su Ling dodged its attacks while continuously pelting it with fireballs.

Shang Qi, meanwhile, was relentlessly hurling lightning orbs at the python.

Fire and lightning, a double buff.

The python was in immense pain. It slammed its head and body against the mountains, shaking the very earth.

Its sheer size meant that even though Su Ling's fireballs were burning, it would take a considerable amount of time to incinerate the python to ash.

This was a monumental challenge for Su Ling and Shang Qi.

If Chu Jin hadn't been there, Su Ling could have easily taken Shang Qi into her space and waited for the python to burn to death.

But with Chu Jin present, Su Ling did not wish to expose her portable space.

After narrowly dodging an attack from the python, Shang Qi took it upon himself to divert its attention. Su Ling, meanwhile, turned, sprinted forward, climbed the tree, and as soon as she steadied herself, drew her bow and arrow.

Su Ling's target was the python's neck. She had magnified her bow and arrow countless times.

Drawing the bow and nocking the arrow, she gritted her teeth, her brow furrowed, her entire strength concentrated in her hands, and with a 'whoosh'.

The flaming arrow shot out, aimed directly at the python's neck.

The shot was incredibly steady, piercing straight through the python's neck.

As all her strength had been poured into the arrow, the moment it flew, Su Ling's body went weak. She dropped to her knees and fell directly from the tree.

“Su Ling!”

Chu Jin leaped down from the tree in a hurry, rushing towards Su Ling.

Before he could reach her, he saw a blur of movement flash past.

By the time he saw clearly, Su Ling had already been caught by Shang Qi, held in his embrace.

Chu Jin was about to breathe a sigh of relief when he saw the python's head hurtling towards Shang Qi and Su Ling. His heart leaped into his throat, and he shouted hoarsely, “Watch out!”

Su Ling leaped from Shang Qi's arms and nocked another arrow, aiming for the python's other, intact eye.

Success or failure rested on this single shot. Su Ling knew she could not afford another mistake!

Even knowing that the python's head would collide with them if she didn't dodge immediately…

Even so, Su Ling stood her ground, all preparations complete. She released her grip, and the arrow flew.

The pained python roared, its massive maw opening wide, lunging towards Su Ling and Shang Qi with its gaping, bloody mouth!
