Chapter 422 Worrying About Shang Qi

Chu Jin's words were not a joke; he genuinely admired Shang Qi. But being the straightforward man he was, that's just how he put it.

Su Ling chuckled upon hearing Chu Jin's words. "You can be the '0'."

"0?" Chu Jin looked at Su Ling, not quite understanding. "What does that mean?"

Su Ling's smile widened. She tilted her head slightly, looking at Chu Jin. "However, even if you wronged yourself to be the '0,' my Ah Qi wouldn't like you. His orientation is completely normal."

Chu Jin, who hadn't understood what '0' meant, instantly got it after Su Ling's explanation.

"Hahaha." Chu Jin couldn't help but laugh. He hadn't expected Su Ling to have such a contrasting side. He shook his head with a laugh, "That's impossible. I do admire Shang Qi, but I could never do something like being a '0.' I'm a straight-as-an-arrow man."

Su Ling smiled and said nothing, her gaze drifting to the shimmering water surface.

The setting sun's afterglow spilled onto the water. A gentle breeze blew, creating ripples. The water was bathed in a rosy hue, a truly beautiful sight.

Shang Qi had already been submerged for a long time. During the time Su Ling and Chu Jin were talking, he hadn't surfaced for air.

Time ticked by. Chu Jin watched the still water surface with growing concern. "Is he alright?"

Considering the time, it had been over ten minutes. Shang Qi hadn't surfaced since he dove in. Chu Jin was quite worried.

In contrast to Chu Jin's worry, Su Ling showed no concern at all. Others might not know Shang Qi's capabilities, but Su Ling understood them perfectly. She knew exactly how capable her Shang Qi was and wasn't worried. She just needed to stand there and wait for him to return with a full haul.

Chu Jin didn't get a response from Su Ling, but he did see Shang Qi surface.

Shang Qi broke the surface of the water, shook his head to get rid of the water, and then looked towards the reservoir's edge. He spotted Su Ling at a glance.

He began pulling the fishing net towards the shore, and Su Ling, who had been waiting, stepped forward. As Shang Qi reached the bank, Su Ling reached out to pull him. Shang Qi handed his fishing gear to Chu Jin and, holding Su Ling's hand, walked out of the water onto the land.

Once Shang Qi was ashore, Su Ling handed him a towel to dry himself. Chu Jin, meanwhile, was pulling the fishing gear towards the bank. He thought there wouldn't be much, but when he exerted his strength, he realized it wasn't that simple. The fishing gear felt heavy, as if it were full of fish. However, considering the short time, Chu Jin found it unlikely. He continued to pull with all his might.

As he pulled more of the fishing gear towards the bank, he finally saw the fish wriggling inside. The fish were all about the same size, packed tightly into the net, filling it completely. Now that they were out of the water and on land, they were jumping energetically, full of life.

Shang Qi, using the towel Su Ling handed him, wiped his hair and then dried his body. After cleaning his hands, he took Su Ling's hand and came over to Chu Jin. Looking at the fish filling the net, he turned to Su Ling and said, "Ah Ling, I'm troubling you."

Su Ling understood Shang Qi's meaning instantly. She walked over and, with a wave of her hand, the countless fish vanished into thin air. Chu Jin knew that this couple had awakened storage abilities, so he was not surprised by the sudden disappearance of the fish.

Looking up at the sky, dusk had already fallen. Chu Jin looked at the couple. "We should head back." The mountain wouldn't move, and they had plenty of time to make the most of what nature had provided on this mountain. The most important thing now was to go back and eat! After tasting how delicious the food was during the day, he no longer wanted to eat raw meat like wild animals.
