Chapter 729: Chapter 729: Stirring Up Trouble?
Kyle Keaton deeply inhaled the scent on July Quinn, feeling as if the blood throughout his body was about to ignite.
But just then, a cold, sharp object was pressed against his neck.
Looking down, Kyle discovered it was an eyebrow razor.
Holding the razor, pressing against his major artery, was July Quinn.
Kyle squinted slightly and his hand followed, clasping July’s hand that held the razor.
"Planning to murder me?"
"No, this is a warning: don’t touch me before the job is done!"
July withdrew the razor and continued to fix her hair and makeup.
"What job?"
"Taking you to stir up some trouble."
Through the mirror, July smiled at Kyle with a charming and coquettish expression.
Kyle initially didn’t plan to go out for trouble with her, just wanted to stir things up at home with her, but seeing her like this changed his mind.
A few minutes later, the two got in the car, preparing to head to the venue for tonight’s trouble.
In the car, Kyle couldn’t help but voice some thoughts from his heart: "I don’t care what kind of relationship you have with Susan Carter, just don’t let him stay at your place in the future."
They’re all adult men and women; who can guarantee Susan won’t go wild?
Of course, even if Susan doesn’t lose control, who’s to say July can resist the solitude?
"Is it because he put sugar in the black tea he brewed, so you can’t stand him?" July dismissed it, still using a small mirror to fix her lip makeup.
Just as they were about to leave, they drank a few sips of the tea Susan brewed.
The guy even added sugar to the tea based on the habits of where he previously lived.
It wasn’t undrinkable, just hard to accept.
Kyle was slightly annoyed, "July Quinn, I’m talking about serious business, don’t change the subject."
"Why can’t you tolerate your son?" July put away her mirror and said seriously.
"If he were really my biological son, I’d acknowledge him. But he’s older than both you and me!"
Before July could speak, Kyle continued:
"Moreover, July, I’ve investigated him; he was the head of the Alpha Mercenary Corps. Having such a dangerous person at home, aren’t you worried he’ll lose control one day and turn on you?"
Yes, ever since discovering July’s close relationship with Susan, Kyle specially investigated Susan’s background.
And what a shock it was when he found out.
This man, serving tea, cleaning the house, even calling July "dad", turned out to be the head of a mercenary corps.
Hence, Kyle had no choice but to prioritize getting rid of Susan.
But despite all his analysis, July simply said: "He has to have the guts for that."
Kyle: "..."
He really wanted to see if July’s head was filled with mush!
But before Kyle could speak again, the person driving up front suddenly spoke:
"That’s right, I don’t have the guts. But by the way, talking about this in front of me, isn’t it a bit impolite?"
Yes, the driver today was Susan.
He didn’t expect the two in the back would be passionately discussing his stay right in front of him.
July didn’t care about Susan’s opinion, just glanced at Kyle, "Did you hear that? Your son says he doesn’t have the guts, and you’re being rude."
As Kyle was filled with frustration, Susan spoke again: "Hey, my dad’s man, if you can convince my dad to let me go, I’ll be grateful for eight generations of ancestors."
July, sincerely: "Being grateful for eight generations of ancestors is an insult, you used it wrongly."
"Is that so? Then I thank him for his great kindness, I’ll repay him in the next life as a cow or horse."
Kyle: "..."
Feeling so exhausted.
And it seems, Susan isn’t following July willingly, the problem still lies with July...
