Chapter 210: Yuvika VS Orman

Chapter 210: Yuvika VS Orman

The others blinked in surprise.

Andine, Yuvika, and Orman had seen Fian’s strength before. Pitting him against Gara, who looked smaller and weaker, seemed unfair.

"Wouldn’t it make more sense for Fian to fight Madha?" Orman suggested, knowing Madha’s strength was no joke either.

"It’s fine. I’ll fight Fian," Gara said, remembering Fian’s earlier words claiming Gara was stronger. Honestly, Gara wanted to test that for himself.

Madha, initially surprised, soon realized what Fian was aiming for— recognition. The last time they fought together, Gara had contributed more, and Fian hadn’t forgotten.

"What about the rest of you?" Gara asked the others.

"Yuvika, fight me," Orman said.

He knew Madha and Andine were formidable, and honestly, he’d been a bit awkward around Yuvika before— she was the daughter of his boss’s friend, and he was just a subordinate.

But after spending the past few days together, things felt more casual between them.

Yuvika nodded, accepting the challenge.

That left Madha and Andine —the two Class S elites— both equally unsure of each other’s abilities.

They moved further toward the edge of the field, creating space away from the others already clashing in their duels.

"So, who’s going first?" Andine asked.

"We’ll go," Yuvika raised her hand.

After all, the four Class S members were basically the ’main.’ They always took the spotlight last.

"Yuvika, since you want to step beyond the limits of your Talent, I’ll guide you in this duel," Gara said gently, smiling as he stood before her.

Yuvika’s heart suddenly pounded. She was completely captivated again.

She thought spending the past few weeks together would’ve made her immune to his charm— yet here she was, unable to calm her racing heart.

She nodded quickly, trying to steady herself.

Orman, overhearing that, frowned in mock protest.

"That’s unfair! Madha, guide me too!" he said, turning to his respected friend with a pleading, almost comical face.

Madha chuckled softly and nodded.

The two pairs moved about five meters apart —Gara stood behind Yuvika, Madha behind Orman— while Fian and Andine positioned themselves in the center to act as referees.

On the right side, Gara and Yuvika discussed strategy; on the left, Madha and Orman did the same.

"Ready... begin!" Andine signaled.

Gara and Madha stepped back to join the referees.

Neither Yuvika nor Orman made the first move right away.

Then, Orman raised his hand— an Earth Block materialized before him.

Yuvika launched her Wind Jet.

BOOM!

The curved blast of wind smashed against the sturdy earth wall with a resounding crash.

Dust exploded into the air, forming a thick cloud that obscured everything— but Yuvika kept firing her wind jets relentlessly while advancing forward.

The first wall cracked and crumbled. But behind it, another wall awaited.

"Oh? They’re using completely different tactics than during the entrance test," Andine observed with interest.

"Yuvika’s pushing forward to increase the pressure of her attacks, perfect against a stationary opponent. Meanwhile, Orman keeps layering walls one after another."

She folded her arms thoughtfully. "But... at this rate, Yuvika’s going to burn through her stamina fast. And Orman won’t win either if he never goes on the offensive..."

Curiosity sparkled in her eyes. She couldn’t wait to see who’d come out on top.

Their attention remained fixed on the swirling dust cloud. Neither referee could see what was happening inside.

"What’s go—"

THUD!

Orman’s body flew out from the cloud, almost crashing onto the ground. His head was about to slam first, when Gara swiftly extended a stream of water, forming a cushion to catch him.

Whoosh!

The lingering dust dispersed, swept away by Yuvika’s wind.

And to everyone’s surprise, she was no longer in her original spot.

She stood behind the collapsed walls, right where Orman had been.

"She attacked from behind?" Andine blinked in shock.

Orman, rubbing his neck, walked back toward the group just as Yuvika approached as well.

He let out a breath and scratched his head. "Didn’t see that coming... I thought she’d just keep pressing forward.

Madha guessed she’d try to strengthen her offense by coming closer to me, so he told me to secretly build extra walls beside her while the dust blocked her view. That way, when she launched her wind jets, the side walls would collapse and—"

"I already knew," Yuvika interrupted with a bright grin. "Gara told me, my wind doesn’t just disappear. It blends into the air.

I can feel the flow around me through it. So when you tried to build earth blocks beside me, I sensed the movement and circled behind you instead."

Her voice brimmed with excitement, proud of the strategy she’d pulled off.

"But how did you keep attacking the front of my wall while you were moving to the side?" Orman asked, still puzzled.

He was sure he’d felt Yuvika’s wind blasts hitting from the front the entire time.

Yuvika smiled proudly. "Gara told me I could curve my Wind Jets, as long as I slowed their speed."

Every pair of eyes instantly turned to Gara, full of admiration.

"How did you even figure that out?" Andine asked, curious.

Gara blinked, tilting his head in thought. How did I know? It just felt... obvious. Wind wasn’t a solid—it was the freest, most flexible element of all. Wind Jets relied on pressure and speed, so to bend them, he simply reduced both.

Still, he wasn’t sure if that kind of reasoning made sense in this world. Was it common knowledge here or completely unheard of?

So he decided to explain it in the simplest way possible. "Think of it like running," he began.

"If you’re sprinting really fast and want to turn suddenly, you’ll trip or lose balance, right? That’s why you slow down before turning. I just applied the same logic to Yuvika’s Wind Jet."

The others nodded, though confusion lingered in their eyes— especially Andine.

Since childhood, she’d been taught that a Talent was almost fixed. You could boost its intensity with training, stamina, or enhancement crystals, but the fundamental nature of a Talent couldn’t be changed.

What Gara did —solving a problem through simple, logical reasoning— was completely new to her. Could common sense really be applied to Talents? And if so... why hasn’t anyone tried before?

Her family, the Karina, had spent centuries refining their Talents— learning to complement them with the basic abbilities of their Bloodline.

They were hailed as geniuses for evolving beyond pure healing, developing powerful combat techniques along the way.

But if that took hundreds of years... then what was Gara, who discovered new applications effortlessly?
