Chapter 133: Encounter With Another Group.

Chapter 133: Encounter With Another Group.

Running through the Shadowless Region, Jun Wu and Mei Ling had been chased so many times that they had lost count.

Their robes were torn, hair disheveled.

They were physically and mentally exhausted.

Mei Ling stared at Jun Wu from the corner of her eye, deeply shocked.

Since the moment they entered the Shadowless Region, she had been at his safety.

Previously, she thought with her strength she wouldn’t be defeated by him, and their safety would depend on her.

But now she found out how wrong she was. Not only her, but everyone who knew him.

From what he had shown so far, she would be a fool to think he was still a Martial Artist.

However, the thought of him crossing the boundary between a martial artist and becoming a cultivator was too shocking.

How old is he?

The more she thought about it, the harder it was to believe, but the truth lay before her.

"What? Are you staring at me like that?" Jun Wu asked without looking at her.

Mei Ling did not speak immediately, but her curiosity got the better of her.

"Tell me, are you a Master?"

Jun Wu was not surprised by her question. He had long expected such a question.

"What if I am, what if I’m not?" He wore a teasing smile.

"What is it to you?"

"Just curious..." She said with no change in her aloof expression.

"Curiosity killed the cat, right?"

"But I’m not a cat."

Ha-ha.

Jun Wu couldn’t help but laugh.

He realized Mei Ling was a straightforward person.

Whatever she thought, she would say it directly.

Mei Ling did not mind that he laughed at her.

Her only thought was to confirm if her guess was right.

"Do you truly want to know?" Jun Wu asked seriously.

"Yes." She nodded.

"I’m not." Jun Wu said, staring directly into her eyes.

She did not avert her gaze and maintained the gaze.

"I don’t believe you."

Jun Wu shrugged. "Since you already know the answer, why do you ask then?"

On hearing this, Mei Ling creased her brow and a flash of shock flickered through her eyes.

From this comment, she knew her guess was right.

But again, more questions appeared in her mind.

How did he become a Master?

However, this time she knew not to ask such a question.

Suddenly, Jun Wu raised his hand.

Instantly, a thick tension descended between them.

Mei Ling gripped her sword tightly while holding her breath.

She had learned that in the Shadowless Region one could not be too careful.

She tried to see through the distance, but the thick darkness made it impossible.

Jun Wu gestured for her to follow him quietly. They approached slowly, trying as best as possible not to make any sound.

As they moved forward, they began to hear the sound of battle. The two exchanged glances and their steps quickened.

Passing through a narrow mountain path, they saw the battle. Five young people in their mid-twenties were fighting fiercely with a gigantic beast.

The beast was over three meters tall with two glowing horns. It looked like a bull, but its three eyes made it different.

Fighting against the beast, the five coordinated perfectly, covering each other’s backs. Mei Ling held her breath, her expression solemn.

This group was not older than her yet they had long surpassed her. Just from the energy of their attack, she knew they were cultivators.

Her emotions were complicated.

Previously, she had thought she was a once-in-a-generation talent.

Even those from the Gong clan and Jun clan could not overshadow her. And now, in a single day, all that illusion shattered.

First, she discovered Jun Wu had already become a Master realm cultivator, and she was still trying to come to terms with that, only to discover another group who were not older than her.

The mental blow was so great that she might start to doubt her talent if not for her strong mental will.

Taking a deep breath, she regained her aloof expression and watched the battle with calm resolve.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

From the bull-like beast’s glowing horns, two powerful fire beams shot forward.

One of the team failed to react on time and was sent flying, his robe burnt, crashing heavily to the ground but he was unharmed.

Under his robe was lightweight armor that saved him.

"Are you okay?" one of them asked worriedly.

"I’m fine." His voice was filled with annoyance.

"Good. Just be careful." The other did not join their conversation as they increased their attack, trying to take down the beast as soon as possible.

With each passing second, the battle became tense and dangerous.

Many times, members of the teams would be sent flying, injured, but others would not stop attacking the beast.

After twenty minutes, they managed to kill the beast and cut off its head.

"Finally," a voice said, and he collapsed to the ground, drenched in sweat.

Suddenly, one of them turned in the direction of Jun Wu and Mei Ling. "

Have you seen enough?" His voice was cold and filled with animosity.

Jun Wu and Mei Ling stepped out of their hiding calmly.

"We mean no harm. We heard the sound of your battle and came to see," Jun Wu said, trying to clear any misunderstanding.

Looking at them, the five stared at them in shock.

How could they dare to enter the Shadowless Region with such strength?

They could not detect Jun Wu’s cultivation, but they could detect Mei Ling’s cultivation.

She was merely an ordinary Intermediate Stage First-Rated Martial Artist.

Did they not care about their lives, or were they ignorant of the danger inside the Shadowless Region?

"What are you doing?" a girl asked. "Don’t you know the danger of coming inside the Shadowless Region?"

Jun Wu and Mei Ling did not respond.

How would they know the Shadowless Region was such a terrifying place?

Their goal was to explore the place marked on the ruin map, not to enter such a dangerous place.

Watching their reaction, the five looked at each other in shock. They had never seen anyone as crazy as these two.

"Where is your Star Radiance Flower? Don’t tell us you don’t have that also?" another person asked.

Lying around them were glowing flowers that illuminated their surroundings, warding off the thick darkness.

But for Jun Wu and Mei Ling, they did not have a single Star Radiance Flower to illuminate their path.

It was common knowledge that ordinary light could not work inside the Shadowless Region except for the miraculous Star Radiance Flower.

Anything besides the Star Radiance Flower would be extinguished inside the region.

"What is the Star Radiance Flower?" Mei Ling couldn’t help but ask.

They had tried to make fire inside the region but were extinguished by the terrifying darkness. It was as if they were swallowing the fire.

Ah!

The five were stupefied.

"This is crazy!" they couldn’t help but exclaim in their minds.

Watching their expressions, Jun Wu and Mei Ling knew their actions were indeed strange.

However, they could not be blamed.

They had tried their best to find anything related to the Shadowless Region but found nothing.

Just then, a boy stared at them intently. "Why can’t I sense the Heart Calming Pill on your bodies?" he asked.

The Heart Calming Pill was the most important preparation for anyone who wanted to venture into the Shadowless Region.

The whispers from the darkness would drive anyone crazy without the Heart Calming Pill.

Yet, these two did not have the breath on them.

"How is this possible?!" another person shouted.

They might agree with all the craziness around the two, but the Heart Calming Pill was a must-have, and now...

Suddenly, the party of five reached for their weapons.

"Who are you?" one of them shouted.

"Everyone, let’s calm down." Jun Wu tried to diffuse the rising tension.

"We’re human like you and we came from the Soaring Cloud Region."

He hoped that revealing their region would calm the rising tension, but he was wrong.

"Soaring Cloud Region. You came from such a barren region," he sneered, gripping his spear tightly.

"So what if you come from the region? Tell us why you’re not affected by the dark whisper."

Dark Whisper?

Jun Wu and Mei Ling stared at each other in confusion.

"We don’t know what you’re saying. This is the first time we’ve heard of such a thing," she said.

"Impossible!" a girl shouted.

"Don’t you hear the strange whisper in your ears?"

"We did, but we ignored them," Jun Wu responded calmly.

Ignore them!

The five felt they were listening to the most ridiculous thing ever.

How could you ignore them when they drive someone crazy?

"Lies! I don’t believe it!" the boy with the spear shouted.

"You’re not human. No human can ignore the dark whisper." He turned to his friend.

"Why don’t we capture them? In front of the elders, they’ll reveal everything."

Listening to him, Jun Wu and Mei Ling had ugly expressions.

"Are you trying to capture us?" Jun Wu’s voice was cold and deadly.

However, the boy was not intimidated. "Yes, what are you going to do? We’ve heard demons like you. Don’t think you can escape."

"Let’s capture them quickly and leave. The blood from the beast would attract other beasts," he shouted, hurrying his friends.

The others were merely conflicted for a mere second before they nodded.

Slowly, they moved toward them.

Five against two, they did not believe they were going to lose to them.

Besides, they were all in the Master Realm. What could two weak mortals do against them?

So they thought.
