Chapter 166: Ch 166 : An Absurd Talent

Chapter 166: Ch 166 : An Absurd Talent

"Now that it’s settled, which talent should I copy?" Sunny thought, his mind shifting through a universe of possibilities.

The cooldown on his Skill-Resonance was over, a blank check of power waiting to be cashed.

He immediately dismissed the idea of another raw power talent like Nova’s Charged Explosion.

His Divine Command could already unmake gods and rewrite reality with a word; another weapon felt redundant.

He was an S-Grade mage, a hair’s breadth from reaching the next realm of power. He had strength. What he needed was something more fundamental.

His thoughts drifted to Nexus’s ’Controller’ talent, the ability to become one with his entire territory. But with hundreds of demigods already acting as his hands and eyes, it felt unnecessary.

He could have copied Thea’s Omni-Cognition or Isiah’s Preserver of Knowledge, but those, while useful, he could still access those talent anytime using the God’s Authority talent, instead of those talents he needed something fundamental.

His mind, sharpened by the Children of Wisdom talent, kept circling back to the true, overarching threat. "I am going to fight the Demon Lords in the future," he thought, a cold dread seeping into his consciousness. "Beings who are infinitely strong and are able to be reborn even after death."

That was the crux of the problem. That was the horrifying imbalance in the cosmic equation. He could kill a Demon Lord a thousand times, and they would eventually return.

But if they, or a Void Beast, or some other unknown cosmic horror, killed him just once... it was over.

"I can get stronger slowly," he mused, "but rebirth? That’s a power I can’t handle, can I?" A slow, wicked, and brilliant grin spread across his face. "Maybe I can."

He manifested a divine embryo and started shaping it into a bird, this bird wasn’t like an ordinary bird made up of feathers and flesh, this bird was made of flames, like a fire spirit.

But the fire which this bird was made up burnt even more fiercely then the fire spirit.

It’s size was currently very small, but since it was made up of fire, it could increase it’s size with ease.

Now it was time to give some talents to this new DemiGod.

Sunny started etching one talent after another, his mind already creating the image of the final product.

The first talent he gave to this demigod was called Fire Affinity, able to control any fire.

The second talent he gave to this demigod was called the heart of the sun, which makes the body of this demigod act as a natural mana furnace, constantly generating immense heat and fire-based energy.

This grants it a nearly inexhaustible supply of mana for its own fire-based spells and allows it to create an aura of intense heat that can incinerate weaker enemies who get too close, if it wants.

The third ability Sunny gave to this demigod was blood of life, The blood of this demigod possess incredible healing properties.

A single drop can heal grievous physical wounds, mend broken bones, and even regenerate lost limbs or revive them from near death for any lifeform below the God level.

This makes the phoenix the ultimate support and healing unit on any battlefield.

The fourth talent that Sunny gave to this DemiGod was flames of purity, which makes the fire from this demigod not merely destructive; but also a cleansing force.

These flames can burn away negative spiritual and magical effects, such as curses cast by demons, mental manipulation from discord magic, or the corrosive touch of Ichor’s power.

Though it wouldn’t effect much until this demigod reaches God realm.

It can also be used to purify land and water, turning blighted areas back into fertile ground.

The Fifth talent was named as Emperor’s gaze; As the king of birds and a noble, divine beast, this demigod possesses a powerful, innate regal aura.

Its gaze can pacify lesser beasts and monsters, turning a rampaging horde into a docile flock.

Against intelligent enemies of a lower grade, its gaze can instill a profound sense of awe and fear, potentially stunning them or forcing them to submit.

Sunny gave this talent to this DemiGod, by looking at the past where he has dried all the mana and caused a beast tide on every planet.

With this talent, this demigod can prevent such occurence in future.

And then, he gave it the sixth and most important talent, the very reason for its existence: Rebirth.

A passive ability ensuring that upon its death, it would be reborn from its ashes in a random, safe location within his territory.

With this final talent, another mythical creature from his lost home, Endor, was born into his demigod list. A phoenix.

"You shall be called Ember," Sunny commanded, his voice filled with a creative satisfaction. "Now, wake up."

With a single, divine thought, Ember came to life. It let out a single, piercing cry, a song of fire and life that made the God space itself seem to vibrate with a new warmth. It bowed its small, flaming head in reverence to its creator.

"Go to Veridia," Sunny said gently. "Learn from your elder brothers and sisters."

The phoenix cried out once more in acknowledgment and shot away, a tiny comet of life streaking towards the world below.

The moment Ember’s form crossed the threshold into Veridia. Sunny didn’t hesitate. He closed his eyes and activated Skill-Resonance.

His consciousness reached out, a thread of pure will that bypassed space and time, and touched the very core of the new demigod. It did not take her power; it simply took a perfect copy of the concept he had just created: Rebirth.

He felt it settle into his soul. It wasn’t a rush of raw power like a breakthrough. It was a quiet, profound change, a feeling like an anchor had been dropped from his soul into the very bedrock of reality.

It was a cold, absolute certainty that whispered a single, universe-altering truth into his being: you will not die.The concept of death was not applicable to him.

He focused his God’s Eye on himself, peering into his own soul, at the new, blazing orb of talent that now burned with the intensity of a newborn star. The description of his new, evolved talent flooded his mind.

He read it once. He read it again.

His eyes, which had witnessed the death of gods and the creation of the universe, widened in pure shock.

The calm, calculated demeanor of God Cosmos shattered. For the first time in a long, long time, the bewildered, disbelieving laugh of Sunny, the former delivery man from Endor, echoed in the vast, silent God space.

"What is this...?" he gasped, reading the description a third time, his mind struggling to comprehend the words. "This is... this is absurd. This breaks all the rules."
