The parking lot was already a warzone when I arrived.
Kiba was dueling Siegfried one-on-one, while the others clashed with Reapers. Our team could handle these Reapers easily—Miu and Alice were here, after all. But their numbers were overwhelming, flooding the lot.
I landed beside Miu, who was firing magic from the rear. "Miu!"
"Big brother! You done?" she asked.
"Yeah, cleared the hotel's perimeter. Just this lot left."
These Reapers would fall quickly.
But then—
BOOM!
A clash above sent vibrations down. Azazel, in golden armor, fought a robed figure with a masked face and ornate scythe—a cut above the rest. That's the presence I felt earlier. Azazel's artificial Sacred Gear wasn't fully recovered from Cao Cao, yet this foe forced him into armor.
"Who's that?" I asked.
Rias, controlling a dragon of destructive magic, answered, "Pluto, a top-tier Reaper serving Hades. A legend."
Hades sent a legendary Reaper!?
Rias continued, "Hades finds us devils and fallen angels a nuisance. Guess what story they're spinning? That we allied with terrorist leader Ophis to disrupt the alliance."
"What!?" I gasped. That's absurd!
"They plan to eliminate us here with that excuse," Rias said, her red aura flaring with rage.
Hades, you bastard! If he hates devils and fallen angels that much, I'll make him pay!
CLANG!
Kiba and Siegfried's swords sparked. Siegfried was in Balance Breaker, four dragon arms sprouting from his back, each wielding a sword alongside his two human arms.
"I wanted to take that six-armed wannabe hero, but Kiba insisted," Alice said, scattering Reapers with her spear.
Kiba's fought him twice in Kyoto, so it makes sense.
"Nothung! Tyrfing!" Siegfried's magic swords gleamed. One slashed, tearing space; another struck, cratering the lot with a tremor. One sword for cutting, another for destruction.
"Next, Balmung! Dainsleif!" A sinister vortex from one sword shredded space, while another sprouted ice pillars at Kiba's feet. Kiba switched to a holy sword, summoned his Dragon Knights, and kicked one to dodge the ice. The knight shattered.
Siegfried's swords were versatile and powerful. His casual swings crushed Kiba's knights.
"Your new Balance Breaker reflects your abilities—interesting. But—" Siegfried stopped swinging, dodging knights with pure technique. "It lacks skill. Speed alone won't beat me!"
He saw through the knights' weakness.
As Siegfried parried the last knight—
It moved fluidly, slicing off a dragon arm. Siegfried recoiled in pain. "Why!?"
The knight revealed Kiba. "You didn't expect me to wear a knight's armor, did you?"
The Kiba directing the knights vanished—an illusion. "I knew you'd spot their weakness, so I turned it against you."
"You waited for my guard to drop!" Siegfried fumed, then noticed his severed arm. "This damage… you gained dragon-slaying power!?"
What!? Kiba has that?
Kiba aimed his holy sword. "Yes, Dragon-Slaying Holy Sword. Your Sacred Gear bears a dragon's name, so you can't resist it."
"Dragon-slaying swords are the hardest to forge with a Sacred Gear… You achieved it. Impressive talent," Siegfried admitted.
I was stunned. Kiba, dragon-slaying power? Since when?
"After fighting you in Kyoto, I consulted Azazel-sensei. With his guidance, I trained and manifested it. Took effort," Kiba said.
Siegfried said dragon-slaying is the toughest to develop, and Kiba did it so fast post-Kyoto? He's incredible! His talent's enviable.
Alice grinned, "Nice job!"
"Ise-kun's training pushed me this far. I'd recommend training with him, but his full strength might kill you," Kiba said.
Alice sighed, "Ise, even you have limits."
"Haha…" I couldn't hold back with Kiba.
Siegfried exhaled. "I'll consider it. But first, deal with this!"
Fog swirled around him, summoning a Reaper army. Georg called them through the mist! We've taken down tons, and there's still more!?
"With these numbers, how will you fight?" Siegfried smirked.
Quantity over quality. Their scythes drain life force—one hit could drop us.
"This is trouble," Akeno said, joining us, lightning crackling.
Over a thousand Reapers surrounded us, filling the field.
"They're underestimating us," Alice said, stepping forward with her spear.
"Damn right. We've survived worse. They needed double this to crush us," I said. "Miu, you good?"
"Of course! I can't die here—not before marrying you and having your baby!" Miu declared.
Time froze.
What!?
Alice stammered, "M-Miu-chan!? A baby!?"
"Just what it sounds like. I promised Mom and Dad grandkids, and you a wedding dress," Miu said, looking at me.
Yeah, we talked about that, but—
"You're that far!?" Alice gasped.
"Two steps ahead," Akeno said.
"Senpai promised me too," Koneko smirked.
"So amazing, Miu-san, Koneko-chan!" Asia squealed.
"If I marry Ise-kun, no more babysitting the Governor," Irina mused.
"What do I do as manager!?" Ravel panicked.
What is this!? Reapers are closing in, and we're talking marriage!?
Koneko blushed, smiling. Irina's thinking of quitting!?
Alice muttered, "Ise's wife… kids…" lost in her world.
Come back! Enemies ahead!
Ignis chimed in, ["Say it like Koneko: 'Marry me!'"]
This goddess is enjoying this!
Ddraig, stop her!
["I can't… I'm trembling…"]
More than with Samael!?
Rias, Akeno, Asia, and Ravel swarmed me. "Marry me!" they chorused.
A dream come true, but—
This is wrong! They're ignoring the Reapers' killing intent! All eyes on me!
Alice was still muttering, Ravel frozen.
We're in a fight! Only Kiba and Azazel are battling!
Fine, I'll answer! "Alright, I'll marry you all! So let's break through!"
Like with Koneko, I accepted. No way I'd refuse.
BOOM!
Reapers vanished in droves. Rias and Akeno's no-motion attacks were insane!
"Got it!" Rias laughed.
"I heard!" Akeno said.
"Me too!" Asia added.
Their auras exploded, wiping out Reapers.
BANG! BANG!
Reapers fell from the sky. Smoke rose from Ravel's twin pistols. "Governor!" she called.
"I'm in a deathmatch, damn it!" Azazel yelled.
"I might quit soon!" Ravel sang.
"Now!?" Azazel roared.
Fair point, Sensei!
"Let's end this and get out!" Miu shouted.
