Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect.
Ning Fengzhi stood atop the mountain peak, gazing down at the scenery below, his mind slightly adrift in thought.
“Sect Master, the investigation is complete.”
Pulled back from his thoughts, Ning Fengzhi turned toward Bone Douluo and gave a slight nod.
“Thank you, Bone Douluo. Well then—how is it? The place Rong Rong chose… is it reliable?”
“This…”
Bone Douluo hesitated, as if unsure whether he should speak plainly.
Ning Fengzhi frowned. “What is it? Something unusual?”
After a pause, Bone Douluo finally said, “I found that the teachers of this Shrek Academy are none other than the former ‘Golden Iron Triangle,’ once somewhat famous on the continent.”
“Oh? I’ve heard of them.” Ning Fengzhi raised his brows in mild surprise.
He hadn’t expected that his daughter, running off to some backwater academy, would stumble upon instructors of at least decent strength.
He knew all too well the average standard of teachers at ordinary spirit master academies. Except for the royal academies of the two great empires, most teachers weren’t even as capable as the mid-level spirit masters found in sects or clans.
Since Rong Rong had found instructors with at least some renown, he could relax somewhat.
The name of the Golden Iron Triangle had once carried weight, and if nothing else, it was far better than mediocrity.
Besides, Rong Rong had been spoiled into a willful temper by his indulgence. A little hardship and discipline outside might actually be good for her.
Bone Douluo continued, “But I also discovered something else. One of Shrek Academy’s teachers is Liu Erlong… of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. Her reputation is… complicated.”
“Liu Erlong?”
Ning Fengzhi fell into thought, then frowned slightly.
“No matter. As long as the teachers have real skill, that is enough. In terms of strength, my Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect does not fear the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan.”
Bone Douluo nodded and added, “I also discovered that this boy named Tang San is not simple.”
“Oh?”
Bone Douluo explained, “He previously studied at a junior spirit master academy in the Fasnu Province. Coincidentally, Yu Xiaogang was also teaching there at the time.
“More interestingly, Yu Xiaogang once wished to take Tang San as his disciple… but Tang San refused.”
Ning Fengzhi’s eyes sharpened instantly as he turned to Bone Douluo, who confirmed with a firm nod.
“Hm…”
Ning Fengzhi’s gaze drifted back toward the base of the mountain, thoughtful.
Bone Douluo said no more. As comrades who had fought side by side for decades, he knew when to stop. If Ning Fengzhi ordered him to eliminate Tang San, he would do so without hesitation.
After a long silence, Ning Fengzhi finally said, “It’s fine. The child has been here long enough for me to judge his character. He is steady, and his heart is not evil.”
Bone Douluo remained silent, neither agreeing nor disputing.
As expected, Ning Fengzhi added, “Still, I must trouble you again, Bone Douluo. Continue keeping a close watch over Rong Rong’s safety. With Sword Douluo stationed here, the sect is secure enough.”
Bone Douluo nodded—completely unsurprised by the command.
A breeze swept past, and his figure slowly faded into mist.
Hands clasped behind his back, Ning Fengzhi stared down the mountain once more.
“Tang San… I hope you never harm Rong Rong. Otherwise…”
Shrek Academy.
Tang San’s expression tightened as he stared at Yu Xiaogang, his face twitching in frustration.
This man… why was he everywhere?
Yu Xiaogang himself looked at Tang San with some surprise, lips parting as though to speak. But instead, he leaned toward Flender, whispering something into his ear.
Flender’s eyes lit up with shock, quickly shifting into delight—and then seriousness.
He clapped his hands loudly, addressing the gathered crowd:
“Alright, everyone! Enrollment ends here today. Those already admitted will undergo testing. If you don’t pass, you’ll be sent home. My apologies!”
At once, chaos erupted among the parents. Angry voices rose in protest, with some even pushing forward threateningly.
Flender rubbed his temples helplessly. Every year, Shrek’s enrollment brought such trouble.
From the side, Zhao Wuji yawned and rose to his feet. With a cold snort, he released his spirit power.
The suffocating pressure instantly silenced the crowd. Parents went pale, grabbing their children and retreating with curses under their breath.
Tang San couldn’t help but sigh. “As expected, no matter where you go… strength is always the best solution.”
Beside him, Ning Rongrong nodded, excitement sparkling in her eyes.
“Wow! These uncles are so cool! Are we really going to study here?”
Hearing this, Flender chuckled. “Our Shrek Academy only accepts monsters! If you want in, you must have talent beyond the ordinary.”
At that moment, Ning Rongrong’s body lit up with radiant light.
Behind her, a seven-colored pagoda spun gently in the air, radiating dazzling brilliance.
“Well? How about this? Is it enough?”
“T-the… Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda!”
Flender’s throat went dry, his gaze fixed in shock.
With Ning Rongrong’s addition—alongside Dai Weisi, Zhu Zhuqing, and the others—the academy’s lineup was shaping up to rival, if not surpass, the elite students of the royal academies.
In fact… their backgrounds were even more prestigious.
Spirit Hall Academy, Spirit City.
Lin Fan stood before six figures, eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
This transformation had been a complete success.
Their appearances remained unchanged, but their physiques and strength had undergone an earth-shaking metamorphosis.
Especially Xie Yue, Hu Liena, and Yan.
Their physical durability now rivaled thousand-year spirit beasts—nearly touching the threshold of ten-thousand-year beasts.
In the original timeline, Tang San had relied on external spirit bones to resist the siblings’ martial soul fusion technique.
But now? What would he use to withstand them?
On sheer physique alone, these six could utterly crush any so-called “genius” of their level.
The other three, though not granted the same level of enhancement, had still been reforged by the Swarm. Their bodies and very genes were fundamentally altered—already comparable to the original “Golden Generation.”
Lin Fan’s smile deepened.
“Go. The reward I promised you awaits inside.”
He gestured toward the incubation chamber.
There, lined neatly across the living creep, pulsed rows of fleshy bio-pods.
Within each one, spirit rings shimmered with eerie light, humming softly—like works of grotesque art, waiting to be claimed.
“Thank you, Master!”
The six bowed deeply, voices unified, eyes burning scarlet with fanatical fervor.
The swarm’s new generation was ready.
