99- Tatsumi- Discussion (2)

“Now that it is clear about our relationship, let us enjoy the day with visiting the tourist places in the Giol City.” Ame suggested.

“Agree to that.” Charlene chimmed in.

Tatsumi could only nod in agreement. This moment marked the beginning of their formal relationship.

“For that, let’s get in my car. I’ve prepared it just in case.” Ame said while walking to the exit of the park.

“Let’s go! We need to make this day one of the most cherished memories you can make.” Charlene then stood up as she was dragging Tatsumi, who grabbed his bag before going.

‘Despite his previous tense body, now he got to enjoy the result of his action.’ Kudungga commented while having a slight smile, if he could see himself.

‘In our generation, it is common to have multiple partners, whether man or woman. Times change even that, huh.’ Goto looked at the current situation and could not help but add.

‘Yes. We are from the previous generation should at least update our knowledge as well as understanding of the current age.’ A familiar voice resounded which caused Kudungga and Goto to be surprised.

‘You…are freed from that state.’ Kudungga knew the source of the voice.

‘How can you be freed?’ Goto asked right away.

‘The previous state of mine sure is full of darkness and isolation. Only the connection I have with this young man made me aware of the situation in the living world. As for why I am freed, well it is to admit my mistakes which were a lot. That’s also the hard part for me to admit.’ Chi You said with a thunderous voice.

After seeing Tatsumi and then comparing it with when he had been with his own family, Chi You realized that he had to admit the mistakes he had made during his life. All of that caused chaos and confusion to those who followed him and that also caused suffering to his people, including the young boy he was now connected with.

‘Should I congratulate you for being freed from your previous wretched status?’ Goto asked.

‘Scram! I am here because I want to amend my mistake and learn the correct way of life and reality.’ Chi You shushed away the other two since he wanted to learn more through Tatsumi.

‘Excuse me but I am in the middle of a date right now!’ Tatsumi exclaimed since he had heard the conversation happening between the three forefathers.

‘For me, this will be the first time I properly guide you. Well, having your heart accept two beautiful women is already a feat I could not achieve but be sure to be fair.’ Chi You gave the first teaching more directly compared to before, when their connection was just a faint connection where both could exchange a small amount of insight.

Now, they could properly communicate with each other. Chi You also realized that Tatsumi had just confessed and now was on his way to enjoy it.

‘You are finally free from the previous state which is the state for those evildoers to the human and civilization. Congratulations!’ Tatsumi knew that Chi You was just contacting him and knew that he had been released from the previous isolated state, where connection was really limited.

‘Well, this is also in accordance with the will of the Father God. He makes it so that if I accept and try to amend my mistake, He will release me from that state.’ Chi You replied.

After that, the three forefathers were just enjoying themselves through Tatsumi’s sense and perception.

On the other hand, Tatsumi was dragged to several attractions in the amusement park after they had gone to the fashion show ongoing in the city.

“The last ride surely is intense. I can practically feel my heart beating on the roller coaster.” Tatsumi commented on the last ride while on his knees.

He felt that the intense speed was what made it great for the people. He then looked at Ame and Charlene who apparently enjoyed it too.

“I can hear your scream. Come on, spill it.” Charlene looked like she had managed to get a glimpse of something embarrassing.

“Well, I am not used to the ride. I was not prepared.” Ame said this while her face reddened, as she remembered something.

“It’s fine since we enjoyed it, with or without screaming.” Tatsumi said after he stood up and went beside the two.

“How about you?” Charlene asked.

“I am so excited but it is really not good for the faint-hearted.” Tatsumi replied with his honest thought.

“Yes, he’s right. If you are healthy, you can try the ride but for those who have a weak heart, this should be banned for them.” Ame quickly added.

“We are on the amusement park’s rides most mornings. What should we have for lunch?” Tatsumi asked and he felt that his stomach was quite empty, judging by how it started to growl.

“How about cakes? There’s a place and we can enjoy it.” Ame suggested.

“Cakes, huh. Sure. I want to taste what kind of cakes you suggest to us.” Tatsumi thought for a moment before agreeing.

“It’s been a long time since I tasted cake. I hope that this will be something to be remembered.” Charlene nodded and looked forward to it.

The place was quite crowded since people went there to taste the legendary cake which tasted so good they could feel themselves floating. It was still within the amusement park but the place was famous for some time and customers came in to taste it.

After quite a long wait, the three managed to get a seat in the crowded store.

“From the smell alone, this place is quite good.” Charlene commented.

“The expression of the people who come here is the same. It is as if they were experiencing pure bliss.” Tatsumi looked around and found that out.

“Of course. This is a famous place if you want the best cake in Giol City.” Ame smiled smugly as she knew this place for some time and now was an opportunity to try it out.

Then they waited for some time before being presented with the cakes of their own preferences.

Just by its faint smell, the three realized that the cakes were created with care and precise measurements.

Then Tatsumi grabbed the smaller ones and took a bite. A soft and sweet taste emerged and started to overwhelm his sense of taste. He grunted as he chewed it for some time before he gulped it down his throat.

“Yup. This is so good I feel like rising to the sky!” Tatsumi said while his eyes widened at the change of taste as it passed through his throat. He shivered as the taste became unforgettable.

At the same time, Charlene closed her eyes as a smile appeared on her face while chewing the cake. The sweetness from the cream in the cake overwhelmed her.

Ame used the fork to divide and get a piece of the cake as she let the cake enter her mouth. The taste she had received through her sense was overwhelming so she had to contain her excitement as she shivered in joy before swallowing the cake.

“Good! So good.” The two of them said at the same time.

“This should be made with the finest egg. The addition of its cream helps elevate the taste.” Tatsumi said as he’d rather grab another and shoved it into his mouth.

‘This is not bad.’ Tatsumi thought.

‘Not bad? That’s an understatement. This is the sweetest food I’ve ever tasted.’ Chi You exclaimed in surprise.

Being connected and sharing the sense of the living meant that he was able to slightly feel alive even if he had been long dead and he cherished that sensation. That was why Chi You felt that the food was the best for the current him.

‘I know. But I am not that fond of sweet things, that's why I said it was not bad. It is perhaps so good for the people who like sweet things. Or perhaps someone can modify the taste of the cake and create more variants?’ Tatsumi commented.

As far as he knew, the cakes that he had eaten were probably the best of their kind. Even the people around him wore similar expressions that approved of the cakes’ taste. But it was not quite to his taste so he could only give his evaluation that way.

‘But…seeing the two of them enjoyed it so much, perhaps I should try more sweet things too so that I can enjoy what they enjoy.’ Tatsumi thought as he saw the two of them eating their cakes with relish.

“Tatsumi, do you actually not quite like the sweet taste?” Ame asked after she saw Tatsumi gulping down the cake with a bit of relief.

“Too much sugar is not good for me. But thanks for giving me these cakes. They are delicious even to me.” Tatsumi replied while looking back.

“I am glad. I thought that you might not enjoy this.”

Tatsumi now realized that he had almost made Ame unhappy. He blinked and then stared at the two, relishing the taste of their cake. They ate slowly so they enjoyed more of its taste compared to Tatsumi.

“The one who makes this sure is someone great.” Tatsumi murmured while looking around, still seeing the familiar expression despite the different customers.

“Are you done already?” Charlene saw that Tatsumi had eaten all of his part of the cakes. She did not expect that he would eat the cakes faster.

“Yes. It was good, so I ate them without hesitation.” Tatsumi replied.

“But did you enjoy it, though?” Charlene’s eyes focused on him with a slight concern.

“I got to enjoy things that I rarely try so I say that is good. Enjoy yourself more. If you want to eat more cakes, I won’t stop you.” Tatsumi said with a nod of approval while letting Charlene and Ame enjoy their cakes.

“But you won’t get to enjoy the cakes. What should I do?” Ame knew that Tatsumi did not enjoy the cake enough but was cut short by his words.

“Seeing the two of you enjoying eating those cakes is enough for me to enjoy. Don’t worry about me and just enjoy yourself.” Tatsumi said with a smile.

Seeing that Tatsumi insisted on letting them enjoy themselves, the two decided to enjoy the rest of the cakes while silently noting this in their heart.

‘Have you ever enjoyed this in your life?’ Tatsumi went into his mind and asked Chi You. He believed that Chi You had never enjoyed things like cake in his life.

‘Of course not. The development speed of the civilization is massive, so much so that what I like changes with time. But I am still liking sweet things since they can cheer me up. To find that the cake in this place is so good makes me remember that part of my past.’ Chi You replied.

‘Ah, that part is where I missed. I guess I should thank you for informing me of this.’ Tatsumi knew that he had not gained much from his memory assimilation with Chi You but being informed like this was not bad either.

“Say, I want to know how the two of you got closer.” Charlene was the first one to raise a topic.

Ame blinked in surprise but Tatsumi looked at Charlene before shifting his gaze to Ame and then shifted once again to Charlene.

“In short, she wants to become a transcendent so that she can protect the people close to her, and I can teach her the knowledge of the transcendent-related things. Maybe that is why we got closer.” Tatsumi replied with an obvious look on his face.

“Is that so? But don’t you think there’s got to be more to it? Can’t you think for a moment what that is?” Charlene smiled but the corner of her eyes did not change in the slightest.

“But I can’t think of anything else. We are together most of the time, that’s all I can tell.” Tatsumi was being honest and told her all he knew.

“I think the way you teach her was exceptional enough for her to care deeply.” Charlene knew that she had a hint about the reason for Ame’s fondness for Tatsumi.

“I remember. Transcendents do not usually share their knowledge regarding transcendent-related things. Are you really sure you only taught her transcendent-related things?” Charlene chuckled as she got it right.

Tatsumi had a look of realization while Ame had a thankful look directed at him.

“Oh, right. That was indeed the case. I don’t know why transcendents keep their knowledge to themselves. I mean, knowledge is better shared and developed into a more advanced form. That is what I believe.” Tatsumi blushed a little that he had forgotten this detail.

It was because he’d rather share the knowledge he had than keep it to himself. For the sake of himself and civilization, he had to share the knowledge.

“Why?” Ame asked this time.

“Because knowledge being used will benefit more rather than being buried with you. That is why I am doing this, not only for my own sake but also for civilization. This is the ideal situation I wanted to create.” Tatsumi said with a serious expression.

Chi You who was still connected to him felt shame since he followed a different path. He had restricted the knowledge to a certain privileged group and reflected on that.

‘This may be risky since everyone can gain this knowledge but that is a risk I am willing to take. Does that satisfy you?’ Tatsumi exclaimed what was not said to Chi You who clearly knew the risk of doing that.

‘So you are willing to go this far for the greater good.’ Chi You commented.

‘Not exactly. There’s something in it for me too, remember.’ Tatsumi added.

‘Right. You are also looking for self-profit.’

‘Exactly.’

“But the risk of doing that, are you prepared to shoulder it?” Charlene knew the risk involved and asked.

“Of course. I am improving at a faster rate than the knowledge I shared. Meaning, I will gain more than I lose. This is a calculated risk I am willing to take.” Tatsumi said as an answer.

“I am worried that when I am not by your side, you will soar higher. Looks like I was worried about you not relying on me.” Charlene said while placing her chin on her hand.

“But I still need you.” Tatsumi said. His eyes stared at her as he continued.

“There are some things that I don’t understand. My mind is unlike you, high in the heavens while I roam the vast earth, still playing with the mud that you had abandoned.”

Charlene nodded. She understood that it was indeed the case. Tatsumi still needed her for further understanding of advanced knowledge.

“I just feel so fortunate to have you two with me harmoniously. I often imagined what kind of reaction the two of you would have when you're with each other.” Tatsumi said as he looked carefully at the two.

“As long as we can amiably communicate well, I don’t see a reason to refuse this relationship. We have known each other for some time, too.” Ame said what was on her mind.

“It is surprisingly a pleasant surprise to be able to talk our hearts like this. I thought that there would be a mess but it turned out differently.” Charlene said as she gulped the last cake she had eaten.

“Since we have finished eating some cakes, should we continue with the attractions here?” Tatsumi suggested since they were still in the amusement park and had to enjoy everything it offered.

“Yes. I have a few I want us to try.” Ame stood up and then Charlene and Tatsumi followed and left the seat.

After paying, they continued to enjoy their first date in the amusement park. Tatsumi was in the middle, while Charlene took his right side and Ame on his left.

Scanning the Universe Field….

Scan complete.

Detecting that there are signs of human life in one of the Universe…confirmed.

Project Recreation is complete.

In a void and spatial layer deeper than even the Planet Master System could reach, there was an object.

It had similarities to a human woman in appearance. Wearing a white gown and its eyes let out a cold blue light, it directed its gaze toward the source of its life signal detector and tried to process the information in its database.

“Project Recreation is complete.” It spoke using its available vocal capability. It sounded like a grating of gears moving, full of artificiality like an artificial intelligence.

It then shifted its gaze around it to see that it was in the deepest layer of space where not even the Planet Master System could detect them.

“Eve, how is it?”

Suddenly there was another being appeared. It looked like a human male with a tight suit and pants, looking at Eve.

“Adam, there are signs that humans have appeared in the Universe Field covered by the Planet Master System.” Eve replied.

“What!? That Project really can be done. How about the Immortal Core? Is it functioning?” Adam’s voice suddenly increased in volume as it questioned the next important thing.

“It has been assimilated by the Planet Master System. It should have gained its sentience a long time ago.” Eve looked at Adam before she spoke.

“We are only allowed to observe them due to the project’s restriction on us. If they managed to reach a sufficient level, then we can attract them to our place.” Adam said with sadness but quickly offered the way out for them to interfere.

“I hope to see them thrive in this Lower Dimension where our master once ruled.” Eve said before she did one thing.

Activating the long-range observation module.

Adam soon followed suit and activated his module.

Combat Assessment module activated.
