Capítulo 1220: Chapter 1221: The Strange Ailian
“Did you hear that? He said this thing is the only successful product.”
Facing two Catastrophe-Level Experts, Wen Wen wasn’t nervous in the slightest. He pointed at the translucent man and spoke to Pioneer Six Zero.
“To them, I’m a failure among failures, so this statement isn’t wrong either.” Pioneer Six Zero said, removing his hood.
Upon seeing Pioneer Six Zero, Ailian’s face changed dramatically. The members of the Truth Society in Nine Ports City had always been avoiding Pioneer Six Zero, and they never expected him to appear here today.
“It seems finding you in advance was the right choice. So I’ll leave this guy to you.”
Wen Wen patted Pioneer Six Zero’s shoulder, then smiled at Ailian before disappearing in an instant, pressing his hand onto Ailian’s old face, and sending him crashing into the statue of the All-Seeing Eye behind him.
Crumbling cracks appeared on that sturdy statue, revealing the statue of a woman inside, none other than the Light of Life, Nivea.
“See, I told you this place was mine.”
…
Pioneer Six Zero walked to the door, looking at the translucent bald man with a hint of pity in his eyes and asked, “What’s your codename?”
The bald man looked at Pioneer Six Zero with confusion, “I am… Pioneer One Hundred!”
“This is very painful, isn’t it?”
Pioneer Six Zero knew how much he had sacrificed to become like this.
He couldn’t eat or drink, couldn’t feel happiness, nor could he truly touch another person’s skin. He would never be able to have his own love.
His eyes were like high-powered microscopes, unable to appreciate beauty in anything he saw.
He could no longer be a human being.
After becoming this way, Pioneer Six Zero lost most human emotions, leaving only hatred toward the Truth Society, and pity for those who shared his fate.
In his eyes, Pioneer One Hundred was much more pitiable than himself; at least he still had the will to resist, whereas Pioneer One Hundred had turned into their machine.
“Pain…” Pioneer One Hundred’s face showed more confusion, seemingly not understanding what Pioneer Six Zero was talking about.
“You are the enemy of the Society, and enemies must be eliminated. The cleansing battle officially begins!”
Pioneer One Hundred’s tone was robotic, but tears flowed from the corner of his eyes. Perhaps this liquid wasn’t tears, but Pioneer Six Zero regarded it as such.
“Don’t worry, I’ll help you be free!”
Pioneer One Hundred’s eyes turned crimson as two scorching rays shot forth, their power so strong that whatever they touched split in two, though the core of the Sanctuary remained unaffected.
Wen Wen was nearly swept by those rays, cursing as he yelled at Pioneer Six Zero, “Control your opponent, don’t let him interfere with me.”
Pioneer Six Zero ignored Wen Wen’s curse, turning the metal in his hand into a shield, then releasing a variety of weapons from his body. These weapons were all powerful Containment Items.
Among these were items as powerful as the Bow of Gestation, which under Pioneer Six Zero’s control, wielded Catastrophe-Level Strength.
Wen Wen glimpsed at Pioneer Six Zero from the corner of his eye, realizing he was quite unfathomable indeed; if all those weapons unleashed their full power, the effect would surely be astounding.
No wonder the Truth Society had been avoiding being discovered by Pioneer Six Zero; he was still a thorough and comprehensive Catastrophe-Level combat machine.
Pioneer Six Zero represented the Truth Society’s closest attempt to manufacture an Artificial Divine Spirit, using the best materials.
They initially planned to use the wills of sixty children to form a chaotic will that would fully obey their control.
Unexpectedly, power unexpectedly gathered within Pioneer Six Zero, one of the sacrifices.
Upon arriving here, Pioneer Six Zero sensed the presence of Pioneer One Hundred, which made him easily agree to help Wen Wen.
Compared to Pioneer Six Zero, Pioneer One Hundred was much more meager; although he possessed Catastrophe-Level strength, many of his parts were makeshift.
These makeshift parts made him more comprehensive but also reduced his potential as a combat weapon, making his fighting ability completely inferior to Pioneer Six Zero.
The most crucial factor was that Pioneer Six Zero was more familiar with his own strength than Pioneer One Hundred.
If Ailian were commanding from the sidelines, Pioneer One Hundred could naturally fight effortlessly, but with Ailian firmly suppressed by Wen Wen, he couldn’t direct his abilities.
Thus, the battle here was heavily one-sided.
Fortunately, the Truth Society had isolated the surrounding space to prevent ordinary people from interrupting them; otherwise, just the fight between these two would have halved the city’s population.
…
On the other side, Ailian had no power to resist against Wen Wen either. His Dark Matter Force barely harmed Wen Wen, who didn’t even need to use the blessings of Black Moon to thoroughly suppress Ailian; no, this wasn’t just suppression but complete domination.
However, Wen Wen hadn’t delivered the fatal blow because he felt something was off about Ailian.
As for what was wrong, he couldn’t say for sure; perhaps Ailian was too calm. Although he displayed anger and looked serious in the battle, Wen Wen felt he was distracted.
As if his focus wasn’t here, merely going through the motions of fighting Wen Wen.
This didn’t seem like the demeanor of someone on the verge of death, so Wen Wen remained highly cautious of him. During their fight, Wen Wen suddenly released chains to encircle Ailian, while secretly manipulating from behind Nivea’s statue.
Ailian easily broke through Wen Wen’s chain prison, but only met a Black Blade stabbing towards him from behind.
This blade had once caused discomfort to Yan Zu, and Wen Wen wanted Ailian to taste the Electric Light Poison Dragon Drill.
Ailian initially dismissed the move, but when all his energy defenses were penetrated by the Black Blade, he lost his composure. For the first time, Wen Wen saw a glimmer in his eyes.
Then the glimmer never faded; Ailian seemed transformed into another person, his eyes filled with confidence.
Ailian arrogantly asked, “Are you the inheritor of the Sanctuary?”
“Who are you?” Wen Wen countered.
Ailian gave a slight smile, “You may call me the Great Sage. You’ve disrupted quite a few of my plans, but I’m not too concerned.”
“I just didn’t expect the successor of that terrifying Sanctuary to be such a despicable fellow like you; if that blade had struck, it would have been quite a scene.”
“If I hadn’t used that move, you wouldn’t have shown yourself, would you? I knew there was something wrong with Ailian, but I didn’t expect the problem to be you hidden in his body.”
“Hidden? No, you’re too shallow.”
