Cherry couldn’t help but mumble, “But he obviously said he liked me…”
Mrs. Augustus sighed with concern, “There are so many rules with wealthy families, if you marry into one and get bullied, your father and I can’t help you.”
It was true those rules were many.
Every time Gavin Graves’s mother visited, she’d always nag and pick out a lot of flaws in her.
Cherry nodded in agreement.
Her younger brother rubbed his sleepy eyes and said, “Just don’t let sister get married, right? Anyway, no matter who she marries, Dad and Mom will definitely not be at ease.”
