Chapter 1799: Chapter 1792: The Final Retention

In the last row of seats on the fighter jet, a soldier slowly stood up with a straight Tang sword in hand, forcing the other soldiers to stand stiffly in a line. They looked nervously at the man called Brother Bo, flustered and at a loss.

"Who are you?" Brother Bo’s heart stopped for a moment, and after it resumed, an indescribable panic set in! He recognized that soldier! But not really well, just happened to be assigned to his group. Initially, this guy had such a low presence that Bo didn’t pay him any mind. But now, the terrifying high-level new human blood aura and the intense murderous intent emanating from the man proved he was an absolute menace!

He took a step back, his face turning as terrified as the other soldiers. He kept retreating until his fingers touched and gripped a laser weapon, feeling a tiny trace of safety. He shouted sternly, "Are you here to spy on me?"

His questioning made the other laugh slightly, then with a snort, the man shook his head and said, "No one is spying on you. I just came along to witness what a dead Zombie King looks like. I just didn’t expect anyone to be foolish enough to target the Zombie King’s Evolution Crystal, hahahaha..."

"Don’t come any closer, or don’t blame me for being rude!"

"Ha~ Do you think that thing can threaten me?" The soldier’s expression grew cold, and Bo realized something was wrong but couldn’t stand it anymore. The pressure was almost suffocating! Then, closing his eyes, he directly pressed the trigger. Yet, he was so tense that he only realized the weapon wasn’t firing after a moment when he remembered he hadn’t turned off the safety. But by that time, the other man was laughing so hard that he couldn’t stand up straight!

"Hahahaha! Are you trying to make me laugh to death? F*cking hell, hahaha~"

The laughter was so piercing in Bo’s ears that he hurriedly turned off the safety and pressed the trigger again. But the next second, even before the laser fired, the laser weapon, more than half a meter long, snapped in two with a "crack," scattering parts all over the ground.

As for Brother Bo, his eyes widened, and aside from his head tilting slightly upward, there wasn’t any other movement visible. When the weapon broke, his neck was snapped by the adversary, killing him on the spot.

"Tch!"

The soldier glanced disdainfully at his body, then looked at the other soldiers and said, "I won’t bother you. I understand you all, but from now on, do your job well."

"Yes!" A few soldiers dared not say anything. They could only agree reluctantly. From the moment the adversary stood up, their lives were no longer theirs—nobody knew when he might decide to kill them.

After that, he headed to the cockpit and launched the jet. As the engines roared loudly, the thrusters below emitted blue flames, lifting the entire fighter jet slowly into the sky.

"You, come and give me a hand." After calling the previous co-pilot, the jet began to fly toward the old city, almost buried under various flesh and blood structures and filled with a plethora of bizarre plants.

Paired with the purple sky, the environment here exuded a particular oppressiveness, making those unaware think they might be on another planet!

Apart from the ruins of the old era, nothing familiar to humanity could be found here!

As the jet neared the city, the soldier opened the installed camera on the jet, transmitting the captured images in real-time back to Cloud Gorge Base.

Meanwhile, Su Sigui, twirling a pen in silence, noticed the changes on the big screen behind her. She slowly rose and looked over. After seeing the images clearly, she turned back and casually tossed the pen onto a desk filled with various documents. She placed her hands on the desk, looked forward, and let out a cold chuckle. Around the long conference table sat over a hundred people, all being the Level 8 New Humans in Cloud Gorge Base!

"Alright, the time has come!"

"You all are very aware of my purpose, and that is to end this apocalypse. This is not detrimental to you, so you wouldn’t refuse, right? Indeed, I want to be a savior. You may laugh at this idea, but I don’t mind. Each of you here has two chances. One is from the external factors you face, and the other chance is from me. Do you think I am reckless or just overestimating my abilities? I’m sorry, but this is my stance."

"Why am I giving you this opportunity...? It’s because ending the apocalypse isn’t something I can do alone. I still need many like-minded partners. So, I want to give you all a chance, in the upcoming time..."

"Also, I don’t want to be a Tyrant." As she reached this point, she paused, seemingly recalling something, and her grin grew eerily sinister, making even some absent-minded people pay attention.

"I just thought of something, but it’s irrelevant to you, and there’s no need to inform you, mainly because of my own reasons. It made me change my mind as I don’t have patience anymore, so now I’ll speak frankly."

"All of you probably think that ending the apocalypse simply means exterminating all the zombies, right?"

"Sorry, forgive my babble, as I merely wish to take a closer look at you... it’s just that simple..."

With Su Sigui’s words, the atmosphere in the expansive meeting room grew grim and murderous as many readied themselves for combat. They had clawed their way to survive in this apocalyptic world, not foolish enough to miss the potential for bad events following Su Sigui’s tone. However, they couldn’t fathom what Su Sigui planned to do!

Does she want to challenge the interests of all the Level 8 powerhouses present? If so, who gave her the courage, and how confident is she that many would choose to stand by her?

No one spoke at the scene, all waiting for Su Sigui’s next words, and she didn’t keep them waiting long before continuing, "I know you’ve all investigated me during this time, aware of the two plans I’m currently implementing. I’ve installed numerous siphon towers in many places, and there’s no need for me to elaborate on their functions as you’re well-informed from your investigations. As the ’Spirit Rain Plan’ begins, if all goes as planned, many zombies will be wiped out, allowing this plan to proceed continually, gradually clearing zombies from all over the world."

"However, this world is full of unexpected variables, ones that even I can’t fully grasp. Therefore, I’ve made a two-pronged plan. Before confirming the feasibility of the ’Spirit Rain Plan,’ my will must take precedence, converging all of mankind’s resources and power into one united force! Moving towards a single goal rather than you constantly consuming each other over individual interests! But, to achieve this, I need your unconditional compliance!"
