Chapter 1221: Chapter 1221 Aunt (7)
"That’s not it, this is something a friend newly invested in, a technology from abroad. If you like, I can bring more next time," the teacher said.
"Wow, so does this mean we’ll have yogurt to drink from now on?" Jiaojiao’s face lit up with excitement, her little eyes darting between the teacher and Shu Lang, the meaning clear.
Shu Lang probably noticed that his sweetheart had a special fondness for Jiaojiao. Seeing Jiaojiao ask this, he immediately laughed and said, "Drink as much as you want in the future."
"Wow, Jiaojiao thanks Uncle then," she said, holding her face and blinking cutely.
Standing next to her, Gu Zichen was putting a straw in the yogurt for her, and only blushed slightly in response, without any rebuttal.
Seeing this, Shu Lang laughed heartily.
"Yang Tao, the teacher only brought one cup. How about I treat you to a soda?" This bottle of yogurt Gu Zichen brought was meant for herself, so she only had one bottle.
Yang Tao naturally agreed. She was three years older than Jiaojiao and understood things better. Whether from closeness or other aspects, she wouldn’t compete with Jiaojiao.
However, her soda was brought by Ruan Lei, who also helped her with the straw. Feeling somewhat embarrassed, Yang Tao glared at him but Ruan Lei just smiled when glared at.
Jiaojiao sipped her yogurt while watching Ruan Lei and Yang Tao. If she was merely guessing before, now she was sure; her brother actually had an eye for her good friend?!
Besides the few days of school, wasn’t she present during their previous interactions? She never felt anything unusual before. What happened during the few days she was absent? How could this happen so quickly?
Compared to Shu Lang and Gu Zichen, Jiaojiao wasn’t as optimistic about the pair. It wasn’t that she disliked Yang Tao. On the contrary, if it worked out, she’d be all for it. But they’re still young, these youthful emotions might not be stable.
Of course, she’s more worried that if they break up in the future, they won’t even be friends anymore. Just imagining that awkward scenario makes her feel tense.
Jiaojiao’s gaze was so focused that Yang Tao’s face flushed red, feeling embarrassed as she looked away.
Jiaojiao also shifted her gaze away after, only sighing in her heart, wondering why the air was filled with love even though spring hadn’t arrived yet.
Qin Qiong glanced at the three pairs beside him, feeling a bit sour, missing his own significant other even more than usual.
"Come on, Lei, Xi, which one of you wants to play a round with me? Let’s add some stakes; money is too boring. Let’s see if we can come up with another kind of wager," amidst this spring vibe, Lu Zishu had already grabbed a cue stick noisily asking.
"Alright, you three can be one team, and we’ll be the other. Let’s play a round together." Qin Qiong estimated the time by checking his wristwatch.
"That works, but we should re-divide the teams. Two adults on one team seem a bit unfair." Shu Lang said.
"That’s fine too. Kid, you and I will be on a team." Qin Qiong turned to Lu Zishu, noting that neither of them had their partners around.
Lu Zishu didn’t understand why his new partner wanted to pair up with him, but he eagerly nodded.
As the men played billiards, Jiaojiao and the others sat by watching.
Compared to Ruan Jie and Ruan Chi, Xiu Xi and Ruan Lei played billiards less often. Jiaojiao used to accompany Ruan Jie and the others often, so she wasn’t familiar with Ruan Lei and the others’ skills.
