Chapter 322: Luxury
As the four of them went towards the main building of the Unified Human Academy. The building was primarily reserved for the use of professors or for other essential purposes. Most students weren’t allowed to enter this building without permission. Only Axel had come in here to meet the principal once.
The dance hall was also situated in this very building on the third floor. They weren’t the only ones going in that direction. Many more students were also going. The four of them heard murmurs and realized they weren’t the only ones who didn’t have a dress ready. Thankfully, the academy staff knew at least half or more of the students would forget to prepare a proper dress.
According to the professor’s instructions, two extra chambers were created, one for male students and one for female students, where they could select from a variety of ready-made clothes in different types and colors suitable for the occasion. Using magic, the clothes would be adjusted to fit the shape of each student, however they want it to be.
Vyra and Lumina separated from Axel and Heinz, going to the girls’ dressing reception. While Heinz and Axel went towards the chamber designated for the male students. Heinz studied his friend carefully and asked while walking,
"Are you sure this is going to be ok?"
Axel looked back at his friend and sneered, "You know, there’s a saying that men become dumber the more time they spend with women, and I can see it every single time without exception. How every time Vyra appears, you become 100% dumber, not caring about anything around you."
Heinz’s eyebrows twitched as he coughed in slight embarrassment. Clearing his throat, he asked again, "You’re avoiding my question, Axel."
Axel sighed, "It’s fine, it’s not like I will be dancing with Lumina, and Sophia won’t be coming here. Since she doesn’t like crowded places."
Heinz raised an eyebrow at his friend. It was the first time he was seeing Axel talk about the valkyrie like this, mentioning her name like that, and talking about her almost as if he knew her for a long time. A trace of some unknown understanding dawned on the mind of the sage aspect holder, but he didn’t speak it aloud.
Axel, on the other hand, misinterpreted the long look of Heinz and finally said the truth, "No... never mind. This is not going to be ok."
Heinz gave his friend a pitiful look. He patted Axel’s shoulder with a sigh, "You’re trying to tame an untamable monster; it’s bound to be difficult."
Axel rubbed his eyelids in pure frustration at the current complicated situation. But eventually, he shrugged after some thought, ’Meh, fuck it. I’ll deal with whatever happens.’
Entering the male reception chamber. Axel saw various kinds of medieval-looking, luxurious clothes. Each was a masterpiece in their own right. Exuding the air of nobility. But both Heinz and he couldn’t find themselves liking the overly luxurious garments. It just felt like too much.
They both opted for knight-like clothing, with subtle differences in some sections, and made a few modifications of their own, which didn’t take more than 10 minutes, to ensure the clothes fit Heinz and Axel’s bodies perfectly.
As they both dressed up and came out of the small dressing rooms. Their new looks drew gasps from some of the female staff members there. Heinz himself was very handsome and iconic, with his gray eyes and hair. Wearing black colored long cloths with subtle, captivating embroideries on them.
But what truly took everyone’s breath away was Axel’s appearance. A sky blue-colored knightly outfit with some white, glittering diamonds. Embedded on his necktie. He truly owned the title of the blue prince at the moment. By now, Axel’s looks were even more handsome than Lucien’s.
The ladies felt as though they would faint upon seeing his divine appearance. Ocean blue eyes, long blue hair. A face with subtle but sharp jawlines that would captivate any woman at first sight. At a height of 6 feet 1 inch. His well-built stature only added to his appearance. His appearance signified the calmness of the oceans, but he was ready to become violent at any given moment.
Axel stood in front of Heinz, knowing he was more handsome than his friend, and showed a smug smile. Heinz said in disgust, "Dress up like this more and you wonder why Lumina falls for you, sadistic bastard."
Axel responded with a chuckle, "Is it my fault that I’m too good-looking?"
Heinz gave him an even more disgusted look. Axel shook his head in resignation as they both approached the decorated doorway of the ballroom. The two guards opened the gigantic door. And the amount of light that assaulted their eyes was blinding. Both of them walked in enormous strides.
Two of the most handsome and top male students of the academy, walking together with their divine looks, brought the attention of almost everyone that was already present within the ballroom, and the numbers were more than what Axel expected. There were already 700-800 students present, and more were arriving every moment. One can easily imagine just how large the ballroom was.
Spatial expansion magic was undoubtedly used to widen the entire area to accommodate the large number of students. Axel could feel that the usage of mana in here was somewhat restricted to barely a meter radius around them. No magic spells or techniques could be used by anyone here. There were large runes on the wall of the room, along with expensive paintings and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, illuminating the entire hall in a golden white light that screamed luxury.
It seems everyone would be gathering here today, Axel surmised internally. Dinner tables were filled with delectable foods, platters ready for anyone to take and start eating. However, no one had yet touched the food; it seemed that everyone would start eating only after the first dance. Heinz was already going absolutely crazy over the food. The guy could barely keep his composure.
Axel wasn’t faring any better; more than the luxury or anything else here, the food seemed to be the most attractive thing to both of them. They were both food lovers after all.
