Upon entering, I saw Chu Liyuan with not many scars on his body, but the woman was covered in wounds, mostly caused by the whip. I glanced at the whip in my hand.
Unleashing the whip, I mercilessly lashed it onto the woman’s body. “Ah—”
Then came another lash, and another. I lost count of how many strikes I made, until the woman finally fainted.
Jian Dan forcibly suppressed the emotions in her heart, curling her lips into a sardonic smirk.
“So weak, fainting after just a few lashes. Someone, splash her awake with salt water,” Jian Dan commanded coldly.
“She’s endured enough. If you have the guts, come at me! Come at me!” shouted Chu Liyuan loudly, looking at her.
“Come at you? How could I bear to do that? With such a pretty little face, it would be a pity to ruin it!” Jian Dan walked to Chu Liyuan’s side, raising her hand to touch his face.
Chu Liyuan tried his best to evade, but the circumstances didn’t allow it. “Just kill me already!”
“Kill you? I can’t even bear to hit you, let alone kill you, right?
You’re so intent on dying now; why not think of your little darling at home? If you die, she would be devastated, wouldn’t she?”
“Don’t touch her! If you dare touch her, I won’t let you go,” Chu Liyuan roared at her with bloodshot eyes.
“Haha! You can’t even save yourself now, and you won’t let me go? Between the two of us, who really won’t let go of whom?”

At that moment, a basin of salt water was splashed onto the woman, causing her expression to contort in extreme pain.
“Don’t worry, soon you won’t feel any pain!”
“What are you planning?” Chu Liyuan’s eyes narrowed intently.
“Heh!” Jian Dan coldly sneered at Chu Liyuan, pulled out a dagger from her waist, and stabbed it straight into the woman’s heart right in front of Chu Liyuan!
The woman instantly stopped moving.

Chu Liyuan looked as the woman was dragged away, powerless to stop it.
Jian Dan walked up to Chu Liyuan, reaching out to touch his face. “How did this face grow to be so handsome? It’s so good-looking that I can’t bear to kill you!” Then Jian Dan slowly leaned her head forward, and though Chu Liyuan was very repelled by her, at the moment just before their lips met, Chu Liyuan saw those eyes he couldn’t possibly mistake for anyone else’s.
As their lips met, a pill and a blade piece were slipped into Chu Liyuan’s mouth.
Afterwards, Jian Dan left the dungeon without any pause.
Chu Liyuan stared at her departing silhouette, somewhat entranced.
After swallowing the pill Jian Dan slipped him, he regained much of his strength and broke the ropes on his wrists, escaping the dungeon during a shift change.
In Selina Yu’s room, as the old man was about to do something, a commotion arose outside. A person hurried in from outside, “Master Yu, it’s not good, Chu Liyuan has escaped.”
“Escaped? How could that be?” Master Yu spent less than ten minutes figuring out the whole thing, and with icy eyes looked at Jian Dan behind him, “Was it you?”
“I must say, you’re really impressive!” Jian Dan slowly stood up, standing face to face with him.
“Master Yu, we’ve been surrounded by the army!” A man rushed in, flustered.
Jian Dan’s lips curled up into a charming smile at this moment, “Seems like even the smartest fox will one day be caught by the hunter.”
“Haha! Then we shall see if the hunter truly has the skill to catch me.” With a quick motion, Master Yu was suddenly behind Jian Dan.
The movement was so fast, Jian Dan didn’t notice at all.
“Now let’s see if the chips in my hand are enough to let the hunter spare me!”
Master Yu’s eyes glinted with cruelty and a trace of perverse glee.
