Chapter 1848: Chapter 1848: Is This His True Form?
This doubt, Carson Flores didn’t voice it out, since it was somewhat hurtful.
After a few seconds of silence, Carson asked in a low voice, "Will you tell the truth to those Dragon Clan disciples?"
The Ancestor Dragon, hands behind his back, sighed, "To tell or not to tell, what’s the difference? If they don’t want to die, their only option is to take a shot and head to the Earth’s Core. Might as well let them go happily."
"If this succeeds, everyone will benefit. If it fails... it won’t be any different from now."
Carson smiled bitterly, "Has the situation deteriorated so much? Can’t you suppress him at all anymore, Senior?"
The Ancestor Dragon nodded, his expression heavy, "If it weren’t so, how could I let my Dragon Clan disciples take such risks..."
Carson looked at the Ancestor Dragon before him, yet didn’t feel a deep empathy, but rather a sense of lament.
Judge actions, not words; some matters can’t be judged by what he says, but by what he does.
He had once said that the Dark Ancestral Dragon wouldn’t care about the lives of the Dragon Clan disciples, only himself. He would refine and absorb all the Dragon Clan disciples to strengthen himself. Now he says he can’t protect the Dragon Clan disciples and plans to send them to the Abyss, to face the Dark Ancestral Dragon, to be selected by him.
Isn’t this like sending sheep into the tiger’s den?
He says the Dark Ancestral Dragon doesn’t care about these disciples’ lives, but Carson didn’t feel he cared much either.
Moreover, how much of what he says is the truth?
Carson is just an outsider; doesn’t he say all this just to get him to help?
In Carson’s mind, he was grumbling, yet on the surface, he appeared utterly calm, as if completely believing.
After all, he’s just a small True Immortal, isn’t he?
Carson was unsure of this Ancestor Dragon’s exact realm, but to kill a True Immortal like him would surely only take a flick of a finger, and Carson wouldn’t dare to oppose him.
Furthermore, Carson could confirm that no matter what the conflict between these two might be, unless it’s resolved, neither he nor any Dragon Clan members could leave.
This abyss, Carson had to go down, whether he wanted to or not.
Though Carson had the Palace of Seven Beauties to hide, he wasn’t sure of the Ancestor Dragon’s power and methods, and wouldn’t want to reveal the Palace unless absolutely necessary.
If it came to turning hostile and becoming a deserter, and he was caught again, he feared he’d be finished.
When there’s no choice, gather as much information as possible and then make the best decision in dire straits.
Carson nodded, "Since everyone has to go, I’ll give it a try. Life and death are destined!"
The Ancestor Dragon comforted, "I will give you a Breath of the Dragon, making your aura indistinguishable from the Dragon Clan. Although he doesn’t care about these descendants’ lives, he likely won’t attack on sight. That is your opportunity."
Carson nodded, "Alright, Senior, please carefully tell me about the situation underground, the location of the formation nodes, and how I should enter the formation nodes."
The Ancestor Dragon pointed at the water surface before them, "I’ll show you."
As the Ancestor Dragon cast the spell, the water surface kept switching, displaying the entire situation of the Abyss, and he pointed out two formation nodes to Carson.
"This is actually a Yin Yang Formation, with Yin and Yang array eyes, each capable of controlling the formation. I originally used the Yang array eye, which is out in the open and most easily discovered, while the Yin array eye has been hidden by me. I have never utilized this Yin array eye, and I believe he wouldn’t know of it."
Carson watched carefully, fearing he might miss even a second.
Getting this wrong could be fatal!
As the Ancestor Dragon continued explaining, in the image, the molten lava suddenly surged up, forming countless red rivers flowing crazily, and in the darkness, an enormous mountain-like entity approached, with two gigantic holes spraying flames.
Carson froze for a moment before coming to his senses, realizing that this mountain-like entity was, in fact, a dragon’s head?
Those huge holes, could they be the Ancestor Dragon’s nostrils?
And that flame isn’t the scorching aura that comes with its breath?
This guy is so big, so terrifying!
Carson was shocked, realizing he actually had to match wits and courage with such a terrifying existence; isn’t this tantamount to courting death?
The gigantic dragon head slightly lifted, a massive dragon eye looked straight into the night sky, and a mocking voice suddenly erupted, "What are you sneaking peeks at, hiding like a rat? Didn’t you pride yourself on being aboveboard? Then fight me fair and square, and see how I swat you!"
Even though Carson was only viewing the Dark Ancestral Dragon through the Water Mirror, the ferocity, ruthlessness, and dominance in those eyes still left Carson deeply shaken.
So fierce!
The Ancestor Dragon maintained a calm face, watching the Water Mirror without speaking.
The Dark Ancestral Dragon noticed no response from the Ancestor Dragon’s side, and tauntingly said, "What’s this, not even daring to say a word? You’re still as cowardly as ever, and its because of your nature that the entire Dragon Clan is holed up in the Dragon Spirit Continent. If I were leading the Dragon Clan, we would be the rulers of the entire Thunder Immortal Realm!"
