Xi Men Wo Xue

Chapter 18 Benevolent Hall

When Xiao Fei arrived at Renxin Hall, shouts and sounds of fighting could be heard from within.

Xiao Fei quickly used his movement technique and rushed inside. At the entrance, a young boy lay in a pool of blood.

It was the boy named Xiao Hengzi, who had helped Xiao Fei bathe before. Now he lay on the ground, his breath completely gone.

The shelves inside the shop were overturned, and various medicinal herbs were scattered all over the floor.

Passing through the main hall and into the backyard, he heard a woman's pained moans and pleas for mercy coming from a small room.

Xiao Fei hurried over and kicked open the small door. He saw four vagrant men jointly pinning a young girl onto a table and assaulting her.

"Where did you come from?"

"Get lost! Don't ruin our fun!"

"Watch out, or I'll stab you!"

Xiao Fei didn't say much. He used his movement technique, flashing behind one of the men. The black blade in his hand slashed, and blood spurted out a meter or two.

The man only felt a blur before his eyes, a chill on his neck, and blood gushing from it.

He could only desperately cover the wound on his neck, but it was futile. His brain, deprived of blood, could last at most forty-five seconds. The man felt his vision gradually darken before he toppled to the ground.

After killing the first person, Xiao Fei showed no hesitation. The black blade in his hand repeatedly slashed, killing the remaining three as well.

With his current speed and strength, these ordinary vagrants were no match for him.

Xiao Fei pulled a bedsheet to cover the girl, then walked out of the room and rushed towards the back.

After passing through a large gate, he saw Doctor Huang leaning against a pillar. In front of him stood a burly man holding a butcher's knife, his back to Doctor Huang, confronting several other vagrants.

What surprised Xiao Fei somewhat was that the man holding the butcher's knife and protecting Doctor Huang was none other than Li Da'erduo.

The last time he had stabbed Li Da'erduo, he heard that Doctor Huang had saved him afterward. He hadn't paid much attention to the matter.

"Li Da'erduo, I advise you not to meddle. This old man must have hidden a lot of money. I heard they also have an ancestral treasure. Let me interrogate him properly."

A man with a scabby head waved a large saber in his hand and threatened loudly.

"It's none of my business if you kill others, but Doctor Huang saved my life. I owe him a life, and I will repay it today."

Li Da'erduo was indeed a grateful man. He had been stabbed in the stomach by Xiao Fei that day and thought he was going to die.

When he was carried to Renxin Hall, Doctor Huang had indeed saved him.

Li Da'erduo usually robbed, which only allowed him to eat a few more meals than ordinary vagrants. He didn't have a single copper coin in his pocket.

After Doctor Huang healed his wounds, he, like Xiao Fei, had simply written off the debt.

If anyone in Qingyang Town was perhaps rich and unkind, deserving of their fate, it was certainly not Doctor Huang.

Over the years, with his superb medical skills, he had saved countless lives without seeking any reward.

In this time of crisis, only Xiao Fei and Li Da'erduo remembered to repay his kindness. Among the vagrants who came to rob, there were even many who had benefited from his help.

"Scabby Head, Doctor Huang also treated you for a serious illness last time, and didn't charge you a single copper coin..."

"Li Da'erduo, since you want to die, I'll grant your wish. Brothers, attack!"

Scabby Head shouted and, along with five sturdy men, drew their sabers and attacked.

Just then, a figure flashed. Scabby Head's ugly head, covered in scabby sores, flew off, spinning 360 degrees in the air before falling freely.

In its place, Scabby Head's headless body heavily collapsed.

"Ah! Ahhhh!"

"Murder!"

"Murder!"

Scabby Head's remaining five followers turned to flee.

Xiao Fei used his movement technique and caught up in a few steps, stabbing each of them in the back.

Scabby Head and his followers, a total of six men, were all easily dealt with by Xiao Fei in a few moves.

Li Da'erduo saw Xiao Fei suddenly appear and was astonished. Was this the same young man he used to bully, and who later stabbed him?

With one move, he had killed six people, his blades always striking vital points, ruthless and decisive, killing without even blinking.

Seeing Xiao Fei now looking at him with a dripping black blade, Li Da'erduo flinched in fear.

"Young master, I was blind and offended you before. Please overlook my transgressions..."

At the same time, Xiao Fei was also surprised by Li Da'erduo's drastic change.

"Oh ho! Li Da'erduo! Weren't you quite the tough guy just now? You seemed like a real man, but now you've become a coward?"

Li Da'erduo, sensing that Xiao Fei didn't seem to intend to kill him, gave an awkward smile.

"It's better to live a miserable life than to die. As long as one can live, who would want to die?"

"It's just that circumstances dictate actions. I truly owe Doctor Huang a life, and pushed to this point, I can only stand my ground."

Li Da'erduo didn't say that his legs had been trembling violently just now, and he had almost wet himself.

There was no choice; as a man, one could only put on a brave front!

Xiao Fei glanced at the scoundrel before him, who could be both tough and soft, and indeed had no intention of killing him.

Li Da'erduo had bullied him before, and he had stabbed Li Da'erduo so badly that his intestines were spilling out. If it weren't for Doctor Huang's superb medical skills, he would have died long ago.

If he had encountered him before this, Xiao Fei would have at least severed Li Da'erduo's tendons in his hands or feet, leaving him crippled.

However, after seeing Li Da'erduo desperately protecting Doctor Huang just now, it was indirectly helping him. Letting him go was acceptable.

After all, he might embark on the path of cultivation, and he was no longer on the same level as a vagrant.

"Bang!"

Xiao Fei kicked out, sending Li Da'erduo flying to the corner of the wall, then turned his attention to Doctor Huang on the ground.

Doctor Huang was old, and now he had been beaten and had two bloody holes in his leg. Blood flowed incessantly, and his breathing was weak, with more exhalations than inhalations.

Faced with such a complex situation, Xiao Fei didn't know how to treat him.

He knew that Doctor Huang possessed excellent medical skills and had many effective healing medicines. Now, the only one who could save Doctor Huang was likely himself.

"Doctor Huang!"

"Doctor Huang!"

Xiao Fei called out softly a few times. Doctor Huang slowly opened his eyes and, seeing it was Xiao Fei, his heart settled slightly.

"Doctor Huang, what medicine should be used for your condition? I'll go and fetch it for you."

Doctor Huang, however, gently shook his head.

"It's no use, I can't be saved!"

Xiao Fei suddenly remembered that when he was injured before, he had recovered after eating that red fruit.

His consciousness entered the space and he picked the half-green, half-red fruit. He brought it out of the space and placed it before Doctor Huang.

"Doctor Huang, do you recognize this medicinal herb? I ate one before, and it had a miraculous effect. Perhaps it will be of some help to your injuries."

As Doctor Huang's gaze fell upon the fruit, his eyes lit up.

"Qi Ling Guo!"

"Doctor Huang recognizes this?"

"This is a rare spiritual medicine with many miraculous effects.

However, it is too precious. My old life is not worth this spiritual medicine."
