Chapter 514: A sudden urge to go shopping

“Remember, Leo, the day after tomorrow there will probably be a meeting of all the Guild members and our allies, and you should be there,” Arabel repeated for the umpteenth time, being in his room.

Leo just nodded, and she couldn’t tell if he was really listening to her or just nodding his head mechanically. That’s why she repeated it several times, so that the day after tomorrow, when she picked him up, he would be more or less ready, and not like now — disheveled and dirty.

“Okay, I’ll pick you up the day after tomorrow. Thanks again for your help,” Arabel thanked him and left Leo’s room.

In just one day, Leo had collected almost all the information she wanted, even more than she expected. Instead, she gave him several more tasks, among which was the search for Crowey Cooper, the leader of the Raven Guild. Arabel wanted to know where he was and what he was doing.

After completing all the business with Leo, Arabel looked at her watch and realized that it was still very early. It’s not even lunchtime yet.

“Dan won’t be back until tonight,” she muttered, and then, after a moment’s thought, she decided to go shopping and pick up clothes for the upcoming evening.

However, there was a problem. Irene and Hayley were busy, and Arabel didn’t want to distract them. Esma, being a native of another world, had a completely different view of style.

Arabel needed a more experienced and knowledgeable local girl who could accompany her shopping and help her choose the right clothes.

After a moment’s thought, Arabel remembered Felicia. After hesitating for a bit, she decided to visit her.

I haven’t heard from Felicia since she left. Knowing where the headquarters of the Red Fox Guild was, Arabel changed her route and headed there.

As one of the twenty first awakened, Felicia was no less famous than the others, especially for her beauty and cunning.

The Red Fox Guild building was located in the heart of the capital, in one of the many multi-storey buildings that completely belonged to her Guild.

When Arabel appeared in the sky above the Red Fox Guild headquarters, she wasn’t sure if Felicia was here.

While she was thinking about this, a small fox landed on her right shoulder, opening a small crack.

“Have you been following me all this time?” Arabel asked Coco, but Coco looked away and did not look into her eyes.

“Phew…” Arabel sighed.

“Is Felicia here?” — Arabel asked, and Coco nodded, confirming her guess.

“Lead the way,” — Arabel said, and Coco didn’t hesitate to point out where Felicia was at the time.

Thanks to Coco, Arabel had no trouble finding Felicia.

Felicia was sitting at the head of a large table in a spacious conference room, surrounded by the rest of her guild members. At least that’s what Arabel thought when she saw that everyone present was wearing the same uniform with the fox’s head emblem on their left chest.

Among these awakened members of the Red Foxes, Arabel noticed a girl she knew, and a brilliant idea struck her. Not wanting to wait for Felicia to finish the meeting, she sent her a message via a mental link, which greatly surprised the latter.

“The leader? Is something wrong?” one of the girls asked, noticing Felicia’s sudden surprise.

“No, it’s fine,” Felicia shook her head, then pulled out her smartphone and pretended to read the message.

There was silence in the conference room. Everyone froze, waiting for Felicia to speak. After a while, she put down her smartphone and turned her gaze to a slender girl with round glasses.

“Yara,” Felicia said.

“Yes, Leader,” Yara replied.

“Call your girls and meet the important guest downstairs in the guest room. Keep her company,” Felicia instructed.

Yara blinked several times, as if she hadn’t immediately realized what was required of her. Then, realizing her task, she got up from her seat, nodded to all the other Guild members, and hurried downstairs, contacting the rest of the girls as she went.

“Be here the day after tomorrow, Felicia, I’ll pick you up. We have an important meeting scheduled, which will be attended by all the members of the Kingdom Guild and their allies,” Arabel said before going downstairs.

“If you have any questions, we can discuss them during or after the meeting,” she added at the end.

“Alright,” — Felicia agreed, and was relieved to feel the little fox’s presence become less noticeable. Glancing at the other Guild members, she pulled herself together and, reminding herself not to leave the building the day after tomorrow, continued the meeting.

Arabel, having gone downstairs, took on her usual appearance of the Duchess of Darkness Elsa and changed the style of her uniform, making it less provocative than before. She confidently entered the Red Fox Guild building.

Soon, an employee who met her at the entrance led her to a guest room, where she asked her to wait. The wait did not last long.

Five girls entered the room one after another, led by a slender girl with round glasses, short blonde hair and brown eyes. When they saw who exactly was the important guest the Guild Leader was talking about, all the girls froze as if they had seen a ghost.

“Oh, girls,” — Arabel exclaimed, standing up and radiating joy at meeting all five girls.

Arabel wasn’t lying, she was genuinely glad to see them again. However, the girls, on the contrary, seemed to be afraid of her appearance.

“Miss Elsa,” — Yara began, turning to Arabel, seeing that her friends were not taking the initiative. “How can we help you?”

“Didn’t Felicia tell you anything?” asked Arabel, cocking her head to the side.

“Ah, the Leader asked us to meet you and keep you company…” Yara repeated Felicia’s words.

“That’s right. I have no acquaintances in this city, especially among the girls, so I asked your Guild Leader to allow you to accompany me around the city,” Arabel explained.

“I want to go shopping, and I need company. Company of girls,” Arabel added.

“Oh, shopping?” All the girls’ eyes lit up immediately.

“So will you join me?” asked Arabel.

All the girls exchanged glances and then quickly agreed.
