Chapter 521: Sister, tell me, can you…

After the couple left, Irene and the others continued their conversation. During the conversation, many topics were touched upon: not only about this place and Idan and Arabel, but also about the relationship between Irene and Arslan.

Yulaya and Hazel exchanged glances and came to the conclusion that, despite having a child together, the situation between the two was not exactly what they had imagined at the very beginning. They sighed, expressing their thoughts.

In the midst of their conversation, Essora walked past the living room, accompanied by her younger brother.

“I’m sorry to bother you,” she said, leaving the house with her brother to go for a walk.

Yulaya and Hazel, who had previously considered them prisoners, expressed their doubts when they saw them go outside. However, Esma quickly dispelled their concerns by explaining where they were and suggesting that Idan and Arabel had probably given them permission to walk.

Remembering where they were, everyone agreed with her reasoning.

Soon they left the house themselves to explore the territory.

“Do you want to see everything from the sky?” Esma suggested, and everyone enthusiastically agreed.

“And you? Would you like to join us?” she asked Essora and her younger brother, who was hiding behind her.

Essora, looking at her younger brother and seeing his interest, and also wanting to see everything from above, did not refuse.

“If we’re not bothering you and it’s not difficult for you, then we won’t refuse,” she said.

“Okay, come here,” — Esma called them.

Then, under the admiring gazes of the audience, she materialized her four graceful sea-green wings.

“Hehe,” — Esma laughed, enjoying the attention. She even spun around on the spot, as if demonstrating her grace and beauty.

Having enjoyed the attention of others to her heart’s content, Esma soared skyward, dragging everyone with her with her Soul Force. They had a magnificent view of this extraordinarily beautiful and amazing territory.

Irene and Arslan, who had already seen this landscape from a height, could not help but admire it again.

And while they were busy admiring the surroundings, a portal opened in front of the lawn of the house, and one by one the unconscious bodies of five men flew out of it.

Idan and Arabel appeared behind them, holding hands. Idan was in great spirits, and Arabel was beaming with happiness.

When they appeared, they raised their eyes to the sky, noticed the group and waved at them.

“Aren’t they back too soon?” Irene wondered, but when she saw the five unconscious bodies, her face immediately became serious.

“Let’s go down,” she suggested to Esme, and Esme listened and began to descend in front of the couple.

Idan and Arabel were pleasantly surprised to see Essora and her younger brother among the group. They remembered that they hadn’t introduced her to everyone yet and hadn’t informed her that Essora had joined their guild.

“Did something happen?” asked Irene, before the group could get down.

“Yes,” Idan nodded, looking at the five unconscious men.

“Sister, tell me, can you read people’s memories?” asked Idan, turning to Irene.

During a conversation with Arslan, Idan noticed that he mentioned Irene’s ability not only to manipulate people, but also to read their memories.

“Yes, I can do that,” Irene replied. “But only the most recent memories, and not in all the details.”

After receiving confirmation from his older sister, Idan, after a little thought, decided to first tell them what had happened to them, and only then ask for help.

At the same time, Idan decided to talk about that unusual restaurant and let Irene and the others think for themselves and decide what to do with it.

“A restaurant that stupefies its customers?” Yulaya raised an eyebrow when she heard the details about the restaurant. She was trying to remember if she had ever heard of such a place before.

Yulaya also turned to the others, but they all shook their heads, denying that they knew about this restaurant.

“No wonder. From the information I received from Leo, I know that this place has become popular only in the last few days,” Arabel shared.

“Leo?” — Arslan asked, expressing everyone’s interest.

“Huh, you met him after all, right? And since he even provided you with information, I dare say he agreed to join you?” asked Irene.

“Yes, Leo is now a part of our Guild,” Arabel confirmed. She then added, “If you need his service, you can contact us or contact him directly.”

Arabel understood how valuable Leo was, and she was convinced that not only Irene, but also many others would not refuse his services.

“Okay,” as expected, Irene readily accepted the offer.

“So, who is Leo?” Arslan asked.

“Leo is our Guild’s scout,” — Arabel replied. “You’ll meet him soon.”

“As I understand it, you want me to read the memories of these men and find out the reasons why they pursued you?” Irene clarified when Idan told her about what had happened and who these five were.

Idan and Arabel nodded, confirming her assumption.

Irene did not refuse; she was curious to find out who these people were and what they wanted from her younger brother and sister-in-law. Approaching the first of the men, she unceremoniously grabbed his head and, closing her eyes, used her strength.

“Hmm… mental power?” — Arabel asked Idan through a mental connection, picking up on the familiar fluctuations.

“Maybe,” — Idan replied. “And maybe not. I’m not sure.”

It took Irene a while to sort through the man’s last memories and find what she was looking for. During this process, she caught some unpleasant memories.

Irene felt sick to her stomach. Reading memories is not the most pleasant process, and at this stage of her development she was not very good at it. This activity put a lot of strain on her mind; besides, she saw some of the innermost desires of people during this process, which are not very pleasant.

“Check their smartphones,” Irene said, finishing reading the memoirs, and stepped aside in case she suddenly threw up. “Look for chat and photo apps.”

The group quickly found the men’s smartphones and, using the owners’ fingerprints, easily unlocked them. They began to study the contents carefully.

Then, one by one, they looked at each other.

“Is there anything?” Irene asked, recovering a little.

“I have nothing. All data has been deleted,” Yulaya shook her head. She looked around at the others and asked: “And you?”

“I’m empty too,” Arslan replied.

“And me,” Hazel joined in.

“And me,” Arabel added.

“Also,” Idan replied last.

“I’m sure they didn’t have time to erase all the data from their smartphones,” Arabel assured everyone. She completely immobilized them, leaving no chance for any action.

Irene, Arslan, Yulaya and Hazel, realizing the seriousness of the situation, changed their faces.

Arabel’s words immediately pointed them to the only person they knew who could do such a thing.

“The Eye of the Web,” Irene said in a serious tone.
