Chapter 391: Five lollipops

Chapter 391: Five lollipops

"And what did she demand of you?" asked Arabel. "You just told me about what you got from her. Since it’s a deal, she should have made some demands. So what did she want?"

"The heir of the Dark Beast Territory," Idan replied. "She demanded that we return the heir of the Dark Beast Territory alive, and I agreed."

Arabel paused, and her gaze immediately fell on the pile of trash inside the spatial storage, under which the still unconscious naked heir was currently buried.

"You don’t mind, do you?" Idan asked, noticing her silence.

"Huh? What?" Arabel was distracted. "Of course not. I don’t mind. On the contrary, I will only be glad if this piece of trash disappears from this place."

"Ha ha ha,

— Idan laughed, seeing Arabel’s intense dislike for this young dragon.

"Is that all?" asked Arabel doubtfully. "She only wants this trash?"

Idan did not immediately respond. He, too, shared Arabel’s doubts.

Usually, only creatures of equal strength can make deals with each other. In this case, their side, the side of Idan and Arabel, was weaker. Tamisra had the advantages, and if she wanted to, she could take everything by force. However, she decided to make a deal instead.

Idan found it strange from the very beginning. During the conversation with Tamisra, he caught interesting points and began to understand the ulterior motives behind this deal. But he still wasn’t sure of his guesses, so he decided not to voice them to Arabel yet.

"Yes, that’s it," after weighing the pros and cons, Idan decided to keep this guess to himself for now.

Arabel, in turn, noticed Idan’s hesitation and, knowing him, realized that he was hiding something. She decided to wait and not try to figure out what was the matter.

"What should I do?" Arabel asked.

"I don’t want Tamisra to find out about our spatial storage," Idan replied.

"In the "Trade" function, I discovered an artifact called the "Twin Stones" worth 500 System Points. I haven’t bought it yet because I wanted to discuss this matter with you first."

Idan quickly outlined his plan, and Arabel immediately agreed with him.

Idan bought the Twin Stones and gave one of them to Arabel, and he was going to give the other to Tamisra.

"Remember, Belle, the brighter the stone glows..."

"The closer I get to this Tamisra," — Arabel finished for him.

"Yes, so leave immediately as soon as she gets close to you, leaving the heir in a prominent place," Idan warned once again.

"Dan, are you sure you should give Tamisra an artifact that costs 500 System Points?" Arabel asked doubtfully. "I know we have enough points for now, but is it possible to throw them away so easily?"

"Belle, your safety is much more important to me than these insignificant 500 System Points," Idan replied.

"Okay, I get it," Arabel said, trying not to show her joy at his words.

"Coco, — Arabel said to her little fox, who was lying next to her mistress, hidden from prying eyes.

Hearing her name, the fox lifted her head and looked at Arabel with her small eyes.

"Here, take this," Arabel handed over five lollipops. "This is what I promised you as a reward for fulfilling your request. Although we agreed that I would give you a lollipop for every fifth Awakened saved, you’ve already saved all twenty-three of them, so I’ll count the last three as five."

Back when Arabel killed the first five platinum-ranked women from the Womskinner race, running past the Awakened Ones, she opened the Access Door with a wave of her hand.

Before the action began, she asked Coco to use her power to push all the Awakened inside while she was busy killing the remaining five women.

Arabel was pleasantly surprised that Coco, being a Rank 3 Beast Lord, fulfilled her request with ease and in a short time, placing all the Awakened Ones inside the spatial storage.

After seeing as many as five lollipops, Coco’s eyes shone, and saliva immediately appeared on her mouth. She couldn’t wait to eat them all.

When Coco reached out her paws to take the reward, Arabel pulled them back, startling her a little. Coco opened her eyes wide.

"Coco, — Arabel said again. "I have one more request for you. If you do it, I’ll give you another lollipop. Do you agree?"

Coco looked at the five lollipops with delight, and when she heard that if she completed another assignment, she would receive another one, she quickly nodded in agreement, not even bothering to hear what she needed to do first.

"Here you go," Arabel said, handing Coco the lollipops.

Fearing that the hostess would take them away again, Coco quickly grabbed the treat and stepped back. After making sure that the lollipops would not disappear anymore, she calmed down, looked at them and, barely restraining the urge to immediately eat, opened her small backpack, put the lollipops in it and looked at Arabel again.

"Here, take this, Coco," Arabel said, handing her a small black round stone.

Taking the stone in her small paws, Coco first sniffed it, and then, opening her mouth, threw it into her mouth.

"Coco, wait, it’s not candy..." Arabel tried to stop her, but she didn’t have time, and Coco managed to bite.

"Woo-woo-woo," she spat out a stone, complaining of a toothache.

"Coco, listen to me carefully," Arabel said as soon as Coco calmed down. She decided to explain what she wanted from Coco. "Take this round stone and this ring."

With these words, Arabel took off a delicate ring from her finger. It wasn’t the ring that Idan had given her on the day they first met, when he was completing the System’s task. No, it was the ring that served as the key to their spatial storage.

"You can sense where your Master Idan is, right?" asked Arabel, holding out her ring. Coco nodded affirmatively, confirming that she could locate Idan.

"Wonderful!" said Arabel, delighted. "As soon as I let you out, don’t put away the stone and ring, keep them with you and slowly head towards your Master."

Coco listened attentively, holding tightly in her small paws a sturdy round stone and an elegant ring.

"Watch the stone from time to time," Arabel explained. "It will glow and show the distance to another stone, which one evil woman has."

"I need to rest and recover a bit. As soon as I’m done, I’ll come out next to you. And while I’m gone, go to the Master. And if the stone glows too brightly before I appear and you see an evil woman, run away from her, okay?"

Coco nodded, indicating that she understood.

"And Coco, — Arabel said sternly. "Please don’t lose both of these items. Especially the ring, it’s too expensive for me. Without it, I won’t be able to leave this place, and then you won’t get your lollipop."

When Coco heard that she wouldn’t be able to get a lollipop if she lost the ring, she was scared. She decided to keep her eyes on the ring and the stone as soon as she left this place.

After repeating once again what Coco needed to do, and once again warning her not to lose the ring and stone, Arabel released Coco from the outside and sent a message to Idan through the Lovers’ Plate.
