Chapter 1639: He is just a bastard

Chapter 1639: Chapter 1639: He is just a bastard

"Who’s his woman? In my eyes, Jesse Rowan is nothing." Joan Harry glanced coldly at the maid.

These maids, at best you could call them servants, at worst they were here to watch her.

Every move she made was monitored by them and reported to Jesse Rowan at all times.

Otherwise, Jesse Rowan wouldn’t have found the hospital so quickly today.

The maid was taken aback for a moment: "Miss Harry, don’t be stubborn. Wouldn’t it be better to enjoy life with Mr. Rowan? Why must you oppose him? If a woman behaves, is sensible, and lives a life of luxury, what’s so bad about that? If you upset Mr. Rowan and get kicked out, will you be happy then?"

The maid held an umbrella for Joan Harry, speaking with a very indifferent tone.

"Today I’ll curse Jesse Rowan right in front of you, he’s a bastard, a shameless scoundrel. Even the king of hell wouldn’t take him. A demon like him should just be cut off and not harm others anymore!" Joan Harry’s eyes were red, and she gritted her teeth.

The maid’s face changed; she thought it was too much even to listen, let alone report it to Mr. Rowan.

This Miss Harry sure dares to curse.

"Miss Harry, to be fair, Mr. Rowan isn’t bad to you. Every morning before leaving, he instructs us to make you breakfast, and ensure it’s different each day. At noon, he reminds us to make you nutritious soup, saying you’re too frail. He also doesn’t skimp on gifts for you, yet you’re still not satisfied."

"Then tell Jesse Rowan that I don’t need any of it. Even if I have nothing, I don’t want to suffer by his side."

"You!"

The maid had nothing to say for a moment, just glaring at Joan Harry.

This woman truly doesn’t know when she’s well off.

A life that so many covet, yet she still finds faults.

Joan Harry pushed the maid aside and walked into the rain on her own; she didn’t want to talk to anyone, she just wanted some peace.

Once again the rain poured on her, drenching her completely, a gust of wind made her feel so very cold.

She hugged her arms tightly, gazing indifferently at the misty rain ahead.

When she was confined in Koi Garden by Jesse Rowan, she thought that was the worst of times.

Later, at the racetrack, when she heard Jesse Rowan wanted to give her to his friend to play with, she thought that was the worst of times.

But now, she realizes with pregnancy and nowhere to go, this is truly the worst of times.

Will it get even worse?

She dared not think about it.

The rain before her eyes grew more and more blurry, the rain running down her hair as her vision blurred...

Suddenly, everything went black, and her legs gave way.

With a thud, Joan Harry collapsed heavily to the ground.

"Hey!" The maid was frightened, rushing over to help Joan Harry from the ground, "Wake up, wake up!"

Joan Harry was completely unconscious, with no response.

The maid was truly terrified, immediately calling the bodyguards from Koi Garden.

Soon, several people came, and together they took Joan Harry to the hospital.

The old maid, soaked with rainwater and mud, angrily dusted off her coat and muttered under her breath, "Truly ungrateful, living in a villa, driving luxury cars, eating delicacies – what more do you want? Walking around every day like a half-dead person, and yet Mr. Rowan puts up with it. If you really want to die, don’t get drenched in the rain, jump in a river or hang yourself, much quicker. Now with this pitiful act, it’s clear she’s just trying to gain Mr. Rowan’s sympathy, young women really have their tactics."

The old maid continued ranting as she followed the Koi Garden people into the hospital room.

This kind of weather really gets people agitated and unpleasant.

The rain, dense like silk threads.
