Chapter 583: Chapter 670: Maybe He Peed

Shi Yu tried soothing them for a while, but seeing that they still had their deep black eyes wide open without a hint of sleepiness, his brows were nearly knitted into a ’川’ character.

"Why are you still not asleep?"

No sooner had his words fallen than Shen Cheng came over to have a look.

The two little bundles of joy were full of energy, with their chubby arms wildly waving in the air, making cooing and babbling sounds.

Shen Cheng arched an eyebrow: "I think they’re not going to sleep anytime soon."

Shi Yu’s sexy thin lips pursed into a line, "Little tormentors."

"Put them on the bed and just pat them with your hand," Shen Cheng suggested, indicating to Shi Yu to place the two little bundles in the middle of the bed, "Let them sleep here, we can each soothe one."

Shi Yu grunted in agreement, and placed the two little ones on the bed, but after doing so, he realized that this put quite a distance between him and Shen Cheng.

Shen Cheng lay on her side next to Xiao Ao Jue, enveloping his plump body in her embrace, one hand under her head and the other on his stomach.

Babies can recognize their mother’s scent; as Shen Cheng got close to them both, they quietened down.

No more waving hands, no more blowing bubbles, the sounds from their mouths turned into coos and babbles, as if they were calling out for Mom.

Although Shi Yu was dissatisfied that the two little ones had interrupted their intimate moment, seeing their adorable selves still made his heart melt like cotton.

He imitated Shen Cheng and circled the child into his embrace, his hand gently patting Little Tian Jue rhythmically.

"They’re getting bigger. Who do you think they resemble more now?" Shen Cheng asked softly, staring tenderly at the two children, her voice as gentle as if she were afraid of startling them.

Shi Yu’s eyes scanned over the faces of their treasures, a tender softness involuntarily rising in his gaze, "They look more like you."

Shen Cheng propped herself up a bit to take a closer inspection, "But I still think they look more like you."

"The eyes and mouth are like you," Shi Yu extended his hand to point at Little Tian Jue, his long finger lightly tapping the baby’s mouth, "The nose and facial contours are like me."

Shen Cheng smiled, "I’d prefer they take after you."

Hearing this, Shi Yu’s eyes narrowed, "You’re quite satisfied with my looks, huh?"

"Yeah, satisfied," Shen Cheng said, pausing before continuing, "You’re so handsome it gives women an inferiority complex."

Shi Yu gave her a cool look, a strong sense of danger in his eyes, "Women?"

Knowing she had stepped on a landmine, Shen Cheng coughed dryly: "Alright, I take that back."

"You’ve been quite bold lately," Shi Yu’s deep eyes narrowed further.

Shen Cheng frowned, "I haven’t noticed?"

Just as Shi Yu was about to reach out and pinch Shen Cheng’s nose, Little Tian Jue suddenly burst into tears for some reason.

The hand that Shi Yu had just stretched out was promptly retracted, "What’s wrong with him?"

"He might have peed."

Shen Cheng glanced at the little bundle in her arms, noting he was almost asleep and unable to free her hands, she could only ask Shi Yu to check Xiao Ao Jue’s diaper for wetness.

Upon hearing that, Shi Yu’s expression immediately chilled, "Hmm?"

"What ’hmm’? Hurry up and check," Shen Cheng demanded, her face cold.

Shi Yu, momentarily forgetting that this matter could have been attended to by a servant, frowned tightly and unhappily opened up Xiao Ao Jue’s diaper.
