Chapter 559: Chapter 559
Chapter 559
"Hey kid, are you sure about your pick?" Leo couldn’t help but ask in shock.
I mean, who wouldn’t be shocked? Mada wasn’t only one of the three strongest direct descendants, he was also the son of the principal and a stage four warrior at that. How could a stage two warrior like Finral even dare to pick him as an opponent?
"I’m sure." Finral nodded, his eyes burning with firm determination.
"Hey boy, this isn’t a..."
"Let him be." Orion finally spoke calmly, his voice spreading through the whole coliseum like a cooling spring. "If that’s his choice of opponent, let him be. We didn’t force him to pick Mada, and if he wants to, no problem. Just call the fight already."
"I sure hope you know what you’re doing," Kent muttered under his breath as he stared at Finral, who casually unsheathed his sword with a calm expression masking the storm within him.
"Do you accept this f..."
"Yes." Mada interrupted, stepping onto the platform without a single weapon in hand but with a stoic expression and a cold glint in his eyes. His aura was steady yet suffocating, making even the air feel heavier.
’This is payback for the beatdown you gave me that time,’ Finral growled inwardly as he glared at the descendant, his grip tightening on the hilt of his sword while his pulse quickened.
"If all fighters are ready, let the fight begin," Kent called out, his voice carrying through the tense silence.
And with that single command, Finral didn’t waste a second more. He bolted forward with every ounce of speed he could muster, his sword gleaming faintly as light bounced off its edge.
Mada didn’t move. He simply stood there, unmoving and arrogant, watching the peasant charge toward him with pure disdain flickering in his eyes.
In mere seconds, Finral was right in front of him, his sword slicing down from above in a powerful arc. Mada simply shifted his stance, tilting to the side as the blade whooshed past harmlessly.
Before Mada could even counter, Finral twisted his wrist mid-swing, pivoted on his heel, and spun around with a horizontal slash aimed straight at Mada’s head—faster this time, sharper, and with more intent to kill.
The descendant’s eyes widened. He leaned back instantly, barely dodging the attack, though the sheer force of the slash sent a gust of air across his face.
"Get away from me, you filthy peasant!" Mada snarled, his voice dripping with contempt as he slammed a powerful kick straight into Finral’s gut. The impact was brutal, forcing saliva out of Finral’s mouth as his body shot backward like a ragdoll.
’Crap!’ Finral thought in panic as he twisted midair, seeing the edge of the platform rushing toward him.
He spun his body rapidly, twisting like a top before delivering a desperate roundhouse kick against the platform. A loud bang followed as his foot connected, sending cracks spiderwebbing across the surface.
Using the rebound, Finral channeled Ki into his feet and blasted forward again, this time moving faster than before—his figure blurring as he darted toward Mada.
However, to the descendant, Finral’s movement was still slow. In a blink, Mada stepped forward, his body becoming a blur as he appeared directly in front of Finral and drove a crushing uppercut toward his chin.
"Yup! The fight is over," Sera muttered, shaking her head in disappointment, her tone almost pitying.
’Nope! Finral isn’t done. I know that look in his eyes.’ Grey thought with furrowed brows, watching closely.
And he was right. Because all of a sudden, Finral swung his head forward.
Meeting the uppercut head-on, the attack smashed into him with such force that blood burst out of his mouth, his head snapping backward for a moment.
But gritting his teeth, Finral swung his head back with fury, and in that same instant, he slammed a powerful knee kick filled with Ki directly into Mada’s gut, sending the descendant skidding an inch away before shrugging the hit off like it was nothing.
Yet Finral wasn’t about to give up.
"I will make you pay for the humiliation I faced! I’ll make sure of that!" Finral roared, his voice shaking the air as he suddenly swung his sword away, letting it clatter to the ground.
Without a shred of hesitation, he dashed forward, Ki swirling wildly around his hands like crackling blue flames.
"And I’ll make sure you feel double the humiliation for daring to think you can challenge me." Mada coldly replied, and then...
BANG!
The descendant exploded forward from where he stood with such terrifying force that the ground beneath his feet cracked open like glass, and in the blink of an eye, he was gone from sight, streaking forward like a blur.
’Shit! Grey already told me this guy was fast. Overwhelmingly fast! And right now, I won’t be able to keep up with his speed. I can’t believe I actually have to take his damn help now!’ Finral shouted inwardly, anger boiling in his chest as he began swirling his tongue, bringing a small blue pill hidden behind his molars.
Without hesitation, he swallowed it, feeling the rush of energy surge through him almost instantly. His veins lit up faintly with blue lines as the pill’s effects kicked in, flooding his muscles with strength and perception.
Almost immediately, Mada appeared directly beside him with a punch so powerful it shattered the sound barrier. The air around his fist warped, and the ground trembled.
Within a single heartbeat, Finral’s enhanced senses took effect. He spun around sharply and ducked, dodging the devastating blow by the skin of his teeth as a thunderous bang echoed out behind him, leaving a deep crater where the punch landed.
"I’ll show you!" Finral roared as he suddenly clamped onto Mada’s waist with both arms. Without wasting a breath, he kicked off the ground, leaping into the air for a brief moment before twisting his body and slamming Mada into the arena floor with all the power he could muster.
BANG!
A massive cloud of dust erupted, blinding the crowd for a second. The shockwave rippled through the air, and for a moment, all that could be seen was chaos. Then...
A body shot out from the smoke, blood spraying from its mouth as it crashed violently into the ground.
"C... Kuk! Crap!" Finral coughed out blood as he placed his trembling hand on the ground and spun around, forcing his battered body to stop just a breath away from the platform’s edge.
’Pheew! What a close sh...’
"Now you can die."
Mada’s cold voice sliced through the air, and Finral’s eyes widened in horror. The descendant stood right in front of him, barely showing a scratch. Before Finral could react, Mada’s fist drove forward with the power of a collapsing mountain, slamming directly into his gut.
BANG!
BAM!
The impact was deafening. Blood sprayed violently from Finral’s mouth as his body was lifted off the ground and hurled out of the platform, crashing into the hard earth below with bone-rattling force. His vision blurred instantly, his body limp and broken.
The crowd went silent.
