Chapter 1773: Give us a few hints
Since trying to meet with the gods didn’t work here, the only thing that I could do was head to the Holy Empire.
But before I could even set off, I was pulled into the forge by the Dwarven King.
Elsa had glared at her brother for taking me away from her after what had happened, but the Dwarven King wasn’t scared this time. Even though he was normally scared of her, he didn’t back down this time.
That was because there was something important that he had to do this time.
Elsa could see that too, which was why she held back in the end
But it was clear that she was unhappy with all of this.
Once we were in the forge, I saw that there were other dwarves that were here as well.
All of them seemed to be gathered around the forge as if they were looking at something. At the same time, the looks on their faces clearly showed that this was something that had them stumped.
When they saw me enter, their eyes immediately lit up and they cleared the way for the two of us.
The Dwarven King brought me over to what they were standing around.
Once we were close, he pointed at the metal ores that were here and said, "Please help us analyze these ores."
"Huh?" I couldn’t help being confused by these words as I had no idea what he was asking for.
By all rights, the dwarves were far more qualified than me to analyze these ores. They were specialists at forging that would have been much better than me at this.
But it seemed like they weren’t going to back down on this with the way that they looked at me.
It really seemed like they were completely stumped by these ores.
The ores that were in front of them were ores that had been brought back from the dungeon, so there was no doubt that these were special ores.
It was just that these were ores that the dwarves had never actually seen before.
They had only been able to tell that these ores were special, but what kind of things they could do with them and what properties these ores had, they simply had no idea.
That was why they were asking me about these things.
Or that was how they explained it.
"How am I supposed to figure out something that you couldn’t?"
The Dwarven King looked at me with a serious look before saying, "When we were in that temple, you were able to follow the flow and find the patterns. We just need you to do the same with these ores. Anything that you can find will be enough."
If it was anyone else, then I would have directly rejected them.
But since the Dwarven King was my brother in law, it made it hard for me to say no to his face.
The problem was that I really didn’t know anything about these ores.
I might be able to help if I knew what the name of these things were since I had memorized those things for the forging formulas in the game. But without that information, I really wasn’t able to do anything.
"What are you waiting for? Just tell them no and let’s go see the lord already!"
When I heard this voice in my mind, I suddenly remembered that Oread was here.
I had mostly forgotten about him since he remained silent most of the time.
After all, the only thing that Oread cared about was the God of Earth Terra.
He only spoke up now because he knew that I was taking him to a place where he would be able to meet with the God of Earth, so he was anxiously trying to push me to leave.
But in the end, I said, "You could help, you know? If you help me, then we’ll be able to finish their requests and leave this place."
"Why should I?"
"Well, it’ll let you meet the God of Earth sooner. It’s not like I’ll just abandon them if I can help them."
"You..." Oread said in a low voice, but there was also a trace of acceptance that was in his voice as he said this.
After all, he knew that I wouldn’t listen to him just because he complained.
This was the result of doing this again and again and learning that it didn’t work.
"That first one is Terrarium, it’s a special metal that’s filled with earth elemental energy that makes it harder. The more earth elemental energy that it has, the stronger it will become."
I was surprised to hear Oread suddenly say something like this, but then I cut in by saying, "Which one are you talking about?"
Oread didn’t say anything as if he was annoyed that he would have to repeat himself.
But since I didn’t say anything else, he didn’t have a choice in the end.
With Oread giving me this information, I pointed at the one that he said was Terrarium and repeated the explanation that he gave me.
I could see the surprised looks that were on the faces of the dwarves when they heard what I said, but they quickly recovered and started taking notes from my description.
Once I finished with the first one, I moved on to the second one without any hesitation.
Though they looked at me as if they wanted me to take a break and explain a few things, I just continued explaining what the ore was and what it did without stopping.
So the dwarves had no choice but to keep taking notes even though they were still trying to finish off the notes for the first ore.
Continuing like this, I didn’t give them any chance to catch their breaths as I listed off everything about these ores.
When I was finally done listing off all the ores, I asked, "Is there anything that you missed?"
