Chapter 262: Your dad really is a god!

"K-K-K-Kai! Did you need me? Why didn’t you call?" Auqaphina was sweating like crazy at the moment. Her being a water deity only made things worse.

"The fuck? I did call! Countless times, for hours! I even cursed your name so I could get your attention!"

She rubbed her ear. "So that’s what that itch was."

"Anyway. I need your help finding the hero. I’m on my way to find him, but telling me that he’s just north doesn’t really help. I’m not a hero locator." Kai explained.

Leo wanted to slap Kai in the face for being that dumb. "Bro, did you seriously only need her for that?"

"Yes, why?"

"You have the system!"

"First of all, it’s a status window! And second, how the fuck was I supposed to know?!"

"It has a search function!"

"Oh yeah? But when I looked up getting demigod powers, guess what popped up? FUCKING NOTHING!"

Leo allowed that one since it was true. "But you still could have looked it up."

"Or, just hear me out real quick, I could have simply asked the goddess who wants me to help this hero in the first place!"

Leo wanted to argue back, but that was also a good point. "Fine!"

Kai smirked at his victory. "Yeah, that’s right, bitch! There’s a reason why you were always last during our debate contests back in highschool."

"Really?! Okay what about that time when a girl who was intrested in you and she asked why you thought she was pretty?"

"Don’t you fucking dare!"

"Your dumbass said, ’It’s because of genetics.’ Like what dumbass says that?!"

"Sorry, I was new to the dating scene at that time, no need to rub it in!"

Aquaphina could not believe her eyes. It was so shocking that she didn’t even have a reaction. She turned to Kai’s girls and got their attention.

"That guy is the creator of the universe by the way." She said while pointing at Leo.

"W-What? Is that what he meant by being a higher-level being compared to a god?" Nadya asked

"Yeah, I guess. He’s definitely above gods. He can wipe us out like it’s nothing. And your little boyfriend, he has only the smallest piece of the progenitors’ power, weaker than myself, and is talking to him like an equal. Absolutely insane."

"And this is why you’ve always sucked at video games!"

"I’ve gotten better!" Leo retorted

"I don’t wanna hear it! Now give me my hero locator!"

Leo growled, added a hero locator to his status window and teleported away.

"Heh, he always gets upset when I mention that he sucks at fighting games."

Aquaphina had had enough of Kai and Leo. "I’m going back to my home."

"Okay, see you later. I should meet with your hero in a few days, if not a week. Bye." He waved her off.

"Alright, are you all ready to go?"

All six girls just started at Kai in disbelief.

"What?" He wondered, not understanding why they were staring at him.

"Y-Your dad really is a god?!"

"Yes, I’ve been telling you all this for a while now!"

They all fainted.

"Oh, come on!"

---

A few hours had passed since Gwen and the others fainted. They had always thought that Kai was playing around when he told them that his father was a god. So when they found out that his dad was actually a god, they didn’t know how to react.

"Mnngh, where are we?" Gwen was the first to wake up. Looking around, she saw that she was in the carriage and they were traveling somewhere.

"Oh, sweet, you’re up. How was your little nap?" Kai acted normally, as if they didn’t just meet his divine father.

"K-Kai!" Gwen jolted upward, then scooted back. She didn’t know if she should bow or kowtow. or praise his name. After all, Kai wasn’t just the son of a god; he was the son of the first ever being in existence.

"That’s me. What, were you expecting someone else?"

"N-No, it’s just that....you were telling the truth, all those times. Your dad really is a god. The god of all gods. He’s a GOD!"

Kai shrugged. "Yeah, I guess. I didn’t even know until a few months ago."

"D-Does this mean your sister is a demigod too?!"

And that’s when Kai started to see reality break, so he quickly acted to make it go back to normal.

"Ahem, no. Different fathers."

Gwen completely understood and didn’t even question that logic.

Just then, the others started waking up and had a similar reaction to Gwen. After calming them down, he told them that nothing about him would change, and he’s still the same person they met and fell in love with...kind of.

"S-So, will our kids have super-duper powers or something?" Amaya wondered. She liked the idea of having powerful descendants.

"Unfortunately, no. My STINGY FATHER didn’t pass on his divinehood to me because his previous kids tried to take over the universe, bla bla bla, so he killed them, and eons later, I was the first child of his to be born, but he made me mortal."

"Oh." Amaya looked down. "That sucks."

"Eh, it’s not all bad."

Nadya tapped Kai on the shoulder. "What’s a status window? I heard you and your dad talk about it."

"It’s basically a mega grimorie with all the spells in the universe." He had come up with this explanation long ago in case he felt like explaining it to his girls.

"Wow! No wonder you always have new spells and shit!" Sasha was looking at Kai like a treasure trove.

"I can’t believe it! First, you take me to another continent, then we find the lost city, meet two demigoddesses, meet the goddess, and then meet the creator of the universe. I can die happily now." Carnelia nearly fainted again.

"You know, I thought she would have a rough and aggressive personality, but it turns out she’s just a big nerd." Kai realized.

"Hey! When you’re a pirate, you have to act tough. Only around loved and trusted ones can you be your true self."

"Fair enough."

Kyana lay her head on Kai’s shoulder. "So what now?"

"Since we’re already Diamond III, I felt like it was a bit redundant to keep doing mercenary work, so I decided to just head to the Hero’s location. We’ll just help him out, beat the demon king, then head to the next continent."

All of them agreed with Kai’s plan. While it was nice being here on this continent, most of them didn’t care for the water.

"Next stop, wherever the fuck the hero is!" The carriage took off into the air and blasted toward the hero’s location.
