Chapter 655: Falling for baits?

Chapter 655: Falling for baits?

"That’s not funny. Not even remotely funny at all. You know how close I was to breaking that promise instantly?"

Xiaoyun murmured as his mind let out a sigh of relief. But at the same time, he could feel his inside feeling a little disappointed.

"So you wouldn’t be with me if I were younger?" Lily questioned.

"Yeah. Not that young. It’s just... just fucked up. Even I have lines that I had drawn for myself not to cross."

"Then how about sister Nami?"

"She’s an adult when I was with her. Don’t try to spin it into something weird." Xiaoyun immediately clarified.

"You don’t have to answer so fast like that... You know, it makes me really think you have some weird fetish, brother Xiaoyun."

"I-I’m completely normal. I don’t know what you’re talking about. Stop trying to gaslight me into confessing something I don’t have."

"But what if I wasn’t joking earlier?"

Xiaoyun froze for a second as her face looked back at him with a serious look. Not flinching a single bit as she didn’t turn away.

"That would put me in a very tough situation. But I would have to go with my instinct and go as far away as possible from you."

"Well, good thing it’s all just a joke."

"Y-Yeah."

As the two of them walked into the pavilion proper, Xiaoyun’s mind quickly realized something.

"If that isn’t your actual age, then what is it?"

"Why do you want to know about it that badly? Do you get more turned on the younger I tell you I am?"

"Of course not. I just want to make sure. I mean, it’s hard for me to tell when you look just as petite as Nami."

"Hmph!"

Seeing Lily crossing her arms and looking the other way, Xiaoyun immediately realized he had just fucked up big time.

"Okay, I’m sorry, my princess. I shouldn’t judge people by the cover. Everyone comes in different, unique sizes that can’t be guessed from the naked eye."

As he moved a little closer, Lily quickly walked to the other side, ignoring his apology completely.

"Lily, you remember what we said earlier? Whoever lied is a little fat piggy? I-I just asked out of curiosity, and that’s it."

Seeing her still not responding, Xiaoyun pulled out his last-ditch effort.

"I don’t have any other motives... Here, Lily, I’m going to be honest with you, I did get a little excited when you said that number earlier."

Lily’s face flushed red a little as she finally turned back around to look at him right in the face.

"Fine, I’ll tell you what my actual age is. I’m——"

"Hey Xiaoyun! Lily! What are you two doing in the backyard?"

Before Lily could reveal her real answer, she was rudely interrupted by Wuli, who ran straight to the two of them.

"We’re just talking about school. Didn’t want to wake up the babies in the living room, you know."

Xiaoyun answered as Lily looked back over to the side, seemingly a little grumpy from being interrupted like this.

"School? Isn’t Lily already done with it?" Wuli questioned as she arrived at the pavilion.

"Just talking about her university in the future... Anyway, why did you come home so early? Finish with work?"

"Yep. There’s no one left to instruct at the military base, with everyone getting ready to leave tomorrow... What’s up with Lily?"

"She’s just a little unhappy you came in and ruined her chance to have a little moment with me."

"Hmph."

"Oh. My bad. I’ll see if Leyan needs any help in the kitchen... See you two later!"

As Wuli ran back to the glass door and closed it, the two of them fell into silence, sitting on a bench inside the pavilion.

"Lily, if it makes you uncomfortable saying it, you don’t have to answer my question. Just ignore it and pretend it’s me rambling on."

"You really are an idiot."

Lily rolled her eyes as she once again looked over to the other direction. But this time, she was looking at the sun setting on the horizon.

"What? Why are you calling me an idiot all of a sudden?"

"Because you’re as dull as a wood and as stubborn as a mule. How did you manage to get all eight of them to fall in love with you?"

"Huh?"

Xiaoyun couldn’t wrap his head around it as the tone of her voice had changed completely.

It wasn’t anger, nor was it sadness or happiness. A sense of calm, a neutral feeling, like the cloud freely floating in the sky.

"If I’m really that young, do you think any of them would have let you touch me? How else could I possibly finish high school?"

"But you skipped several grades."

"That’s because they put me in the wrong grade in the first place. They didn’t have older classes until a few months ago."

"Oh..."

"Do you really, really want to know my actual age?" Lily asked again as she leaned a little closer to his ear.

"I do."

"My actual age is twelve. I’m actually two years younger than what I said earlier... Do you still want to fuck my underage body——Sikeeeee!"

"Ow! My ear!"

As Xiaoyun covered his ear from her sudden scream, she quickly ran off before he could turn around and catch her.

"Get over here, you little brat. What the fuck do you mean by twelve! Stop joking with me and explain yourself!"

"Catch me if you can! Ha-ha!"

---

By the time the two of them were back into the house, the sun had already settled down completely on the horizon.

Leyan had just finished cooking dinner as the rest of Xiaoyun’s wives were beginning to come back home one by one.

"Stop fooling around. Xiaoyun, help me lay out the plates and bowls." Leyan murmured as she pulled him over.

"Leyan, I need to ask you this question. How old is Lily? Like the actual age on her ID." Xiaoyun urgently asked

"Her age? She’s 17. She’s obviously about to turn 18 this Saturday... Why are you asking that all of a sudden?"

"She really thought she was so funny earlier. Fuck me. I got so fucking worried for no fucking reason."

As Xiaoyun let out a small sigh of relief, all of his wives looked back at him with confusion right at the dining table.

"You don’t know how old Lily was?" Nami questioned in disbelief.

"Hey, how am I supposed to know that? We never celebrated her birthday before. I always thought she was a lot younger than I had imagined."

Seeing all of them giving him a weird look, Xiaoyun quickly realized the wording he had used made him sound extremely suspicious.

"Not that young. I-I thought she’s like... like... Whatever. You guys are just going to twist whatever I say to defend myself with."

"Hehe..."

As Lily sat down right next to Wuli and Shuli, Xiaoyun grumpily walked over to the stovetop to help Leyan put down the rest of the dishes onto the table.

"Lily, what did you say to Xiaoyun?" Kate curiously asked, a little surprised by how annoyed he looked.

"I just did a little prank, making him think I was twelve."

All of his wives’ faces let out a little grin, some even chuckling a little as they couldn’t hold back their laughter.

"Hey, it’s not funny. You tell me how I’m supposed not to believe that? She looked so serious earlier, and look how close her body matches it."

"Mhm. Sounds like someone just admitted being a lolicon." Nami murmured as she accepted Leyan, handing her a bowl of rice.

"Oh, for fuck sake. Not like that... Whatever. I give up. Everything just wants to fuck me in the ass today."

Seeing Xiaoyun looking completely bummed out and falling into silence, everyone at the table realized they might have taken it a little too far.

"Lily, apologize to Xiaoyun. Now." Leyan ordered.

"Sorry..."

"Honey, we didn’t mean to laugh at you earlier... Is there anything we can do to earn your forgiveness?"

"Anything?" Xiaoyun asked.

"Anything."

"Then I want to sleep alone in the bed. No one comes with me in the shower either. I just want some peace for myself today."

All of his wives looked to each other for a second before giving Leyan a little nod in agreement with it.

"Fine, we’ll leave you alone tonight. But just for tonight. Tomorrow, you’d better be ready."

"Thank you... Ahem, what are you all sitting here for? Let’s all start eating before the food gets cold."

As his face returned to normal, all of them couldn’t help but feel a little scammed out for some unknown reason.

"Leyan..."

"Mom..."

"Hehe... Oops."

Leyan awkwardly scratched her head, realizing she had fallen into an elaborate trap as they all looked back at her with a grumpy look.

"Hey, Leyan is just being mindful of her husband. You all leave her alone. More eating and less talking."
