Chapter 119 An Opportunity for You, But You Don't Take It

Bai Ye really wanted to say to the Warrior: What you said makes so much sense, I cannot refute it!

Of course, it wasn't sarcasm!

Bai Ye was not a novice after all, with the experience from his past life. Although Bai Ye himself had never encountered such a situation at the Pyramid Ruins, he couldn't rule out the possibility that the Warrior's speculation was indeed plausible.

And just then, the Warrior glanced down at the equipment on the ground, then quickly looked up.

Bai Ye shot the Warrior a glance and said, "It seems we've cleared things up?"

The Warrior said, "I've told you everything I know. This is all the information I currently possess."

"Mm, I believe you," Bai Ye said. "However, we've finished our talk, but your companion still hasn't arrived. What do you think we should do?"

The Warrior froze for a moment, then shook his head. "I don't understand what you mean."

Bai Ye looked at the equipment on the ground and said, "Didn't you call for backup? Waiting for those Predators from before to come and rescue you."

The Warrior said, "There's no such thing. I'm talking to you sincerely and genuinely want to cooperate. You're different from the others; you're stronger than them. I don't have to worry about being implanted by a Facehugger, so there's no need to kill you. Conversely, if you're willing to help, this matter will become much simpler. But if you don't trust me, there's nothing I can do."

"Stop with the nonsense," Bai Ye said. "Dare you say you haven't established communication with other Predators?"

The Warrior looked up and said, "No, I swear!"

Oaths were worthless. At this point, answering "yes" would be idiotic.

"It's best if it's 'no'," Bai Ye shrugged. "Otherwise, there will be big trouble."

The Warrior froze and said, "What?"

Bai Ye said, "It takes about five minutes to walk from the mess hall to our location. Our conversation has already lasted a good fifteen minutes. What do you think is the reason your companions are still not here?"

The Warrior fell silent, his eyes beneath the mask filled with deep dread.

Even so, the Warrior gritted his teeth and said, "I really haven't..."

"I don't care if you have or not," Bai Ye interrupted directly. "I've said this much, won't you rush back to check?"

The Warrior was stunned again, but quickly understood. Bai Ye had no intention of attacking him further. He immediately nodded his head in acknowledgment to Bai Ye, then picked up the equipment on the ground, put it on quickly, and began to sprint back.

Bai Ye curled his lips. After the Warrior disappeared at the end of the corridor, he didn't leave but followed him directly.

The Warrior ran through the corridor and into the mess hall, only to be greatly shocked.

The piles of bodies that were there before were now scattered, and many of them bore signs of gnawing. Most importantly, there were six new Predator corpses and about a dozen Alien corpses in the mess hall.

It was evident that after the Warrior and Bai Ye left, a battle had broken out in the mess hall, with a large number of Aliens attacking the area.

The Warrior quickly ran to the Predator corpses and, in a language Bai Ye couldn't understand, repeatedly called out to his companions, but it was all to no avail, as he received no response.

"It's no use!" Bai Ye's voice echoed eerily. "They're all dead as a doornail."

The Warrior sprang up, looking at Bai Ye and saying, "You knew they were going to be attacked, didn't you?"

Bai Ye nodded. "Yes!"

The Warrior's voice clearly began to fill with rage. "Why?"

Bai Ye sneered. "Almost all aggressive carnivorous creatures are attracted by the scent of blood. You were carrying out a slaughter in the mess hall, spreading the smell of blood everywhere. Why wouldn't the Aliens come? You're a Predator, you should know Aliens well. How could you not think of this? Who's to blame?"

The Warrior twitched his eye. "You should have warned me."

"Do I have such an obligation?" Bai Ye said. "In the world battlefield, killing and being killed are both natural. You're allowed to carry out slaughters, but you're not allowed to be slaughtered?"

Bai Ye strode towards the Warrior.

"The most important point," Bai Ye grinned. "We can cooperate now."

The Warrior gritted his teeth. "This is your real intention for standing by and doing nothing, isn't it? If our people weren't scattered, you wouldn't have a chance to kill Predators!"

Bai Ye nodded. "You can think of it that way. So, cooperation? Or no cooperation?"

The Warrior said, "You think I would work with a scumbag like you..."

*Poof!*

Before the Warrior could finish speaking, Bai Ye suddenly reached out, grabbed the Frost Sword, and stabbed the Warrior in the waist.

Feeling immense pain, the Warrior endured and retreated backward. But Bai Ye clearly had no intention of letting him go, relentlessly pursuing him and forcing him against the wall, and then...

*Poof!*

Bai Ye exerted force again, and the Frost Sword plunged in another three inches, more than half of it piercing the Warrior's body.

"Ah!"

The Warrior roared and raised his fist to smash Bai Ye's head, but the moment his fist was about to strike, Bai Ye suddenly reached out.

Dragon Claw Hand!

Bai Ye's five fingers formed a claw, gripping the Warrior's fist and forcefully twisting it backward.

*Crack!*

A bone-cracking sound echoed from the Warrior's wrist as Bai Ye forcefully broke it.

The intense pain caused the Warrior to roar continuously. Then, the shoulder cannon on the Warrior's shoulder fired, emitting an energy halo.

Bai Ye reacted extremely quickly. The moment the shoulder cannon fired, he tilted his head to the side. Immediately, a beam of energy shot past Bai Ye's head and, with a roar, blasted through the wall behind him.

"I gave you a chance, and you didn't take it!" Bai Ye raised his head and looked at the Warrior. "If you don't cooperate, you're useless. If you're useless, naturally, you can die!"

The Warrior gritted his teeth. "How do you want to cooperate?"

"Tsk, tsk, tsk..." Bai Ye shook his head. "There's only one chance, so people will cherish it. Sorry, you've missed your chance!"

*Poof!*

Bai Ye suddenly drew the Frost Sword and then swept it forward with force.

A silver sword light flashed, passing across the Warrior's neck.

Instantly, a large amount of blood sprayed out with a "shasha" sound, splashing all over Bai Ye's face.

Bai Ye took a few steps back, wiped the blood from his face, and looked at the Warrior who was struggling on the ground. "Remember to cherish your opportunities in your next life!"

"You have killed a participant (Particle Energy Civilization World)."

"As this is your first time completing a kill on a participant in a Particle Energy Civilization World, you have received a reward: Biological Scanning and Calculation System x1."

"You have obtained five Shards of Divine Stone."

As the Warrior died, Bai Ye's eyes lit up as he looked at the screen before him.

Particle Energy Civilization World?

Bai Ye had never heard of this world before. Shouldn't Predators be classified under technological worlds?
