Nuwa and Fuxi looked at Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun with disbelief.
However, Nuwa and Fuxi quickly considered that they owed the Three Pure Ones too much, and "offering themselves in return" was not entirely incomprehensible.
Nuwa looked at Fuxi with complex emotions. Fuxi also owed a great deal. With Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun as the precedent, would Fuxi also "offer himself in return"?
Nuwa shook her head. Fuxi was already part of the Demon Court. Given Fuxi's disposition, it was impossible for him to "sell himself."
Indeed, Fuxi looked at Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun with a complicated expression. He himself could not "offer himself in return" like Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun, nor did he have anything to give the Three Pure Ones.
As for the spiritual treasures the Three Pure Ones possessed, even if he were to sell himself, Fuxi would not be worth much.
Fuxi spoke:
"Fellow Daoist Tongtian, I, Fuxi, make a promise to you today. From now on, whenever Fellow Daoist has any commands, I, Fuxi, will undoubtedly go through fire and water without hesitation!"
Although Fuxi's words did not mean he would join Kunlun like Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun, it was equivalent to giving his life to Tongtian.
Tongtian heard this and knew that rejecting Fuxi's grand promise would be looking down on him. He then said:
"Fellow Daoist, rest assured, if there is need, Tongtian will not be polite!"
Upon hearing this, Fuxi breathed a sigh of relief. Tongtian's words were equivalent to accepting his promise.
Seeing this, Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun spoke:
"Three Fellow Daoists, we two will go and sort out the earth veins first. Otherwise, if we rashly move Longevity Mountain, I fear it will damage the primordial earth veins!"
Taishang nodded and said:
"Why don't we accompany you?"
Zhenyuanzi heard this and felt it was a monumental task. With the help of the Three Pure Ones, it might be much easier. He did not refuse and said:
"Then thank you three Fellow Daoists!"
Nuwa and Fuxi heard this and knew that the Three Pure Ones still had matters to attend to. They then said:
"Since that is the case, we two shall also take our leave. We will bother you three again another time!"
Taishang did not detain Nuwa and Fuxi any further and escorted them out of Kunlun.
After Nuwa and Fuxi left, the Three Pure Ones, Zhenyuanzi, and Hongyun headed towards Longevity Mountain.
Upon arriving at Longevity Mountain, Zhenyuanzi immediately took out the Book of Earth and entered the Immortal Realm. With the Book of Earth, Zhenyuanzi detached all the earth veins of Longevity Mountain from the surface and then explained:
"Although my Longevity Mountain is not as formidable as your Kunlun Mountain, it is still a top-tier cultivation holy land with countless spiritual veins. If its earth veins are not removed, it will affect the spiritual veins of the Primordial World and Longevity Mountain!"
The Three Pure Ones were impressed. They never imagined that moving a mountain would involve so many considerations. Thinking of how they moved mineral veins on the Solar Star, they felt a pang of shame.
After Zhenyuanzi detached the earth veins of Longevity Mountain from the primordial earth veins, he brought everyone out of the Immortal Realm and said:
"It's ready. Let's work together to move Longevity Mountain!"
Hearing this, everyone unleashed their divine abilities and lifted Longevity Mountain from the ground!
In the Wuzhuang Temple, Qingfeng and Mingyue felt Longevity Mountain floating towards the sky, their faces greatly changed. Just as they were about to investigate, Zhenyuanzi's voice echoed in their ears:
"There's no need to panic, this is our doing!"
Only then did Qingfeng and Mingyue relax.
The group carried Longevity Mountain towards Kunlun, holding it aloft. The beings on the ground watched a massive mountain floating in the sky, their faces pale with fear, lest the mountain suddenly fall.
Under the efforts of the Three Pure Ones, Zhenyuanzi, and Hongyun, Longevity Mountain soon arrived at Kunlun Mountain.
Seeing this, Zhenyuanzi quickly said:
"Four Fellow Daoists, please hold it for a moment. I will go down and sort out the earth veins of Kunlun. Only then can Longevity Mountain survive and not wither away!"
Everyone nodded and said:
"Fellow Daoist, please go ahead with confidence, we can hold it!"
Zhenyuanzi nodded and headed towards the ground. After his feet touched the earth, he once again took out the Book of Earth and entered the Immortal Realm.
Without Zhenyuanzi, the four felt Longevity Mountain become considerably heavier. They frantically poured their spiritual power into holding it up.
The four saw that after Zhenyuanzi entered the Immortal Realm, the small hills below seemed to come alive, slowly moving aside to make room for a large open space.
Once the open space was roughly the same size as Longevity Mountain, Zhenyuanzi reappeared below. Seeing this, the four quickly controlled Longevity Mountain to descend gently onto the newly cleared ground.
After Longevity Mountain was completely settled on the ground, Zhenyuanzi took out the Book of Earth again and entered the Immortal Realm. Not long after Zhenyuanzi entered the Immortal Realm, the spiritual energy on Longevity Mountain significantly increased.
A moment later, Zhenyuanzi emerged, beaming with joy and said:
"Indeed, your Kunlun Mountain is extraordinary, Three Fellow Daoists. I have only just connected the grand earth veins of Kunlun with the earth veins of Longevity Mountain, and many of the spiritual veins within Longevity Mountain have instantly ascended a level!"
Then Zhenyuanzi addressed heaven and earth:
"Today, Longevity Mountain shall disappear, replaced by Longevity Peak of Kunlun Mountain!"
Taishang asked with confusion:
"Fellow Daoist, what do you mean?"
Zhenyuanzi explained:
"Longevity Mountain is unlike other peaks. If it still exists as Longevity Mountain, it would compete with Kunlun Mountain for spiritual energy and destiny, which would be detrimental to both Kunlun and Longevity Mountain. I now pray to heaven and earth, renaming it Longevity Peak. From now on, Longevity Peak and Kunlun will be one, and they will coexist harmoniously!"
Zhenyuanzi continued, "Let's rest for a while. Constantly using the Book of Earth is a considerable burden on me. After I recover, we will go and move Hongyun's Fire Cloud Cave."
Upon hearing this, Hongyun did not want to tire Zhenyuanzi further and said:
"Forget it, my Fire Cloud Cave is not any special immortal treasure. I'll take my belongings there and just squeeze in with you on Longevity Mountain."
Zhenyuanzi nodded and said:
"That's fine!"
Then Zhenyuanzi turned to the Three Pure Ones and said:
"Three Fellow Daoists, then Hongyun and I will go to Fire Cloud Cave. You three can rest for a while."
Taishang felt that since Longevity Mountain had been renamed Longevity Peak and joined Kunlun, his brothers should also adjust the layout of Kunlun's mountain protection formation.
Tongtian also had this thought. He looked at Zhenyuanzi and said:
"Fellow Daoist, I want to modify Kunlun's mountain protection formation to also cover Longevity Peak. What do you think?"
Zhenyuanzi replied:
"This is an excellent idea. Thank you, Fellow Daoist!"
After speaking, Zhenyuanzi and Hongyun departed.
After Zhenyuanzi left, Tongtian also went to remove the formation flags of the mountain protection formation, planning to include Longevity Peak within its coverage.
Tongtian calculated the number of formation flags required and found that to cover Longevity Peak, new formation flags would be needed. He then said:
"Second Brother, can you forge some more formation flags for me? Just like the last time!"
Yuanshi glanced at Tongtian and, uncharacteristically, agreed. After agreeing to Tongtian, Yuanshi returned to Yuqing Peak to busy himself.
Taishang also felt that Kunlun's main gate should be modified. He put away the morning bell and found a suitable location to install it anew.
