After the war between the Wu and Yao tribes, the Yao Court collapsed, and the scattered demons returned to their unbridled lives, dispersing across the Primordial World.
Following Kunlun's sealing, humanity, under the protection of the Three Pure Ones, proliferated rapidly, and humans became visible everywhere in the Primordial World.
One day, a demon had a dream where a Taoist told him that eating humans could increase cultivation. He initially paid it no mind, but being extremely hungry, he couldn't resist eating a human. To his surprise, his cultivation greatly increased. From then on, the news that eating humans could increase cultivation spread widely among the demons.
Most demons wanted to test this, but fearing Nuwa and the Three Pure Ones, they only dared to try in secret.
The demons discovered that eating humans indeed significantly boosted their cultivation, and they no longer endured the arduous path of cultivation, focusing their attention on preying on humans.
Consequently, a wave of human cannibalism swept through the demon race. Seeing no action from Kunlun, other demons grew bolder, and more joined the ranks of human-eaters.
Human numbers dwindled rapidly. Some demons, observing Kunlun's seclusion and disinterest in worldly affairs, even began to farm humans, utilizing their rapid reproduction.
While farming humans, they also discovered that newborn human infants increased their cultivation several times more than ordinary humans. This discovery drove the demons into a frenzy, and while human numbers increased, most became food for the demons.
At Shouyang Mountain, the ancestral land of humanity, the man appointed as human clan leader by Taishang was enraged upon learning this:
"The demons are simply going too far! We have never offended them, yet they farm our people as food!"
Everyone was indignant. Shouyang Mountain had significantly increased its strength since the Three Pure Ones had deduced three cultivation methods for them.
Humanity swore to seek justice. However, with the collapse of the Yao Court and the demons leaderless, humanity didn't know how to proceed. The human clan leader decided to use Shouyang Mountain as a center and spread outwards to rescue the farmed humans.
The demons, having tasted the benefits, were unwilling to abandon this opportunity for rapid cultivation growth. Compared to traditional cultivation, the gains from eating humans were like picking up freebies.

Below Mount Sumeru, a group of demons was chasing many humans.
These humans originally lived at the junction of the east and west. Unexpectedly, they were attacked by demons and were forced towards Mount Sumeru.
On Mount Sumeru, Jieyin and Zhunti observed the cornered humans. Zhunti spoke:
"Elder brother's plan is indeed brilliant. Now that the demons are slaughtering humans wantonly, many are fleeing to our West. Our Western Teachings are poised for prosperity!"
Jieyin chuckled and replied:
"Junior brother flatters me. These humans are joining our Western Teachings of their own accord, and even Nuwa and the Three Pure Ones can say nothing!"
Zhunti nodded and said:
"Elder brother's Great Dream Reception marvelous technique is truly profound!"
Jieyin smiled and shook his head, saying:
"Let's pay attention to the humans. They will all be disciples of our Western Teachings in the future!"
Down the mountain, the demons continued to chase the humans, not noticing they had arrived at Mount Sumeru. Seeing the desperate humans, the demons cackled:
"Running? Why aren't you running anymore?"
The humans, facing the grinning demons, knew they were doomed to be captured. They found courage and said:
"Our Holy Father and Holy Mother will surely save our race! Your demon race will not have an easy time either!"
The demons roared with laughter:
"Whether your Holy Father and Holy Mother can save you, I don't know, but they certainly won't save you! I intended to farm you, but I didn't expect you to be so swift. I've decided to eat you all in a moment!"
After speaking, the demons attacked the humans. Knowing escape was impossible, the humans decided to fight to the death!
Seeing the fighting spirit rising from the humans, the demons sneered:
"Do you still intend to struggle?"
With that, they struck, heavily injuring the humans. Just as the demons were about to feast, a voice echoed from the void:
"Bold! How dare you disturb the tranquility of the West! Retreat!"
As the voice faded, Jieyin and Zhunti, enveloped in Buddhist light, appeared before the humans!
Upon seeing Jieyin and Zhunti, the demons' faces changed drastically. They hadn't expected that while chasing humans, they had inadvertently stumbled into a Saint's dojo!
The demons immediately knelt and said:
"Saints, please forgive us! It was an unintentional mistake. We shall leave now!"
Jieyin nodded and said:
"Our Western Teachings do not favor killing. You may depart!"
After the demons left, the humans immediately knelt, expressing their gratitude to Jieyin and Zhunti for saving their lives.
Jieyin nodded, gently waved his hand, and helped them up, saying:
"Our Western Teachings possess supreme marvelous methods that can resolve your human race's crisis. Are you willing to join our Western Teachings?"
Upon hearing this, the humans rejoiced, overjoyed that the Western Teachings could resolve their crisis. They immediately knelt and said:
"Disciples are willing! Thank you, Saints, for taking us in!"
Jieyin and Zhunti exchanged glances, a hint of a smile in their eyes!
Zhunti nodded and addressed the humans:
"Excellent! From this day forth, you are disciples of our Western Teachings! Rise!"
After rising, the humans asked:
"May we know the method the Saints spoke of to save our human race?"
Jieyin frowned, clearly displeased, but still replied:
"You will enter my West, and I will bestow upon you marvelous methods. You can chant scriptures and accumulate merit for humanity, resolving humanity's suffering. You can also guide your deceased brothers and sisters to my Buddha realm, freeing them from endless suffering!"
The humans listened, confused, and asked:
"Patriarch, we do not understand!"
Jieyin remained silent. Zhunti then said:
"You have just joined, so naturally, you do not understand our Western marvelous methods. Cultivate diligently, and you will know in time!"
The humans thought this was reasonable and returned to Mount Sumeru with Jieyin and Zhunti.
Upon arriving at Mount Sumeru, they saw many humans already there, diligently chanting scriptures.
Seeing this, the humans finally felt at ease.
At Shouyang Mountain, the human clan leader realized that with their current strength, they stood no chance against the demons. Thus, he decided to seek help from the human Holy Father, lest humanity face utter destruction.
Since Holy Mother Nuwa was far away in the Chaos, the only recourse was to travel to Kunlun and inform the Holy Father of humanity's current predicament.
After the human clan leader made his decision, he conferred with the other seven individuals who had emerged from Nuwa's hands with him. They ultimately decided to provide full cover for one person to seek help from Kunlun.
