Back at Hope Base, it was already eight o'clock. The entire gate of Hope Base was dark, with not a soul in sight.
Xu Qian sighed inwardly, looking like she'd have to sleep outside.
"Get out of the car."
"Aren't we sleeping in the car?"

"Qian Qian... Sister, is he your husband??"
Xu Qian smiled, her eyes narrowing slightly as she looked at the man before her, and said faintly, "Temporarily, I suppose."
"Temporarily what?"
The man stepped forward, encircling her waist and pulling her into his embrace with a possessive grip.
He Yueyue's eyes widened. Could Sister Qian have such a girlish side? Compared to him, everyone else was probably trash.
Guan Weiyun glanced at her, showing neither surprise nor curiosity.
He didn't even seem interested in why her head was covered in grass.
Xu Qian explained calmly, "Arrange a place for her to stay. She'll be my companion on future missions."
Guan Weiyun raised an eyebrow but said nothing, waving his hand for Su Chen to handle it.
Xu Qian shot He Yueyue a look, whispering reassuringly, "It's alright, just go with him. I'll find you tomorrow."
He Yueyue could only nod, reluctantly following Su Chen.
The man scooped the young girl into his arms and slowly walked inside.
"Why did it take so long to kill a few mutants?"
Xu Qian wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning against his chest, and said softly, "The mutants appeared not far from the Yu Corporation. I was afraid of an ambush."
Guan Weiyun nodded in understanding.
The Yu Corporation now knew that Xu Qian was actively sabotaging their bases and would surely be on high alert.
"Should we lie low for a few days until they relax their guard?"
"No, we strike while the iron is hot. If there's enough time tomorrow, I'll visit two more bases."
A glint of darkness flashed in Xu Qian's eyes. With Song Xiaoping gone, she would destroy them quickly. She couldn't be sure what schemes he might devise to deal with her.
The two chatted as they returned to the villa. The moment they entered, Xiao Hei rushed forward without delay.
Guan Weiyun frowned and quickly entered the villa, shutting the door on the dog.
Xu Qian laughed, "Xiao Hei must be so bored with you, always working or leaving him outside."
The man bent down, placing her on the sofa, and leaned over her, his voice husky, "Are you implying we should explore every corner of the living room..."
"You can shut up now!"
Xu Qian was utterly defeated by his shamelessness.
Guan Weiyun didn't press her further. He pushed himself up and asked, "Have you eaten?"
Xu Qian honestly shook her head.
"You go take a bath, I'll make you something to eat."
Xu Qian rushed forward and gave him a kiss.
"Mwah~"
"Thank you, Boss Guan."
Admittedly, aside from his high libido, this man was quite good. He truly treated her like his wife and was patient with her.
When Xu Qian came out of the shower, the man had already cooked noodles and set them on her place. He sat opposite her, tapping away at his laptop.
The young girl raised an eyebrow and quietly ate her noodles.
Guan Weiyun waited until she had eaten a good portion before speaking, "Madam, the observatory just sent me a forecast. There are likely to be natural disasters in the coming days."
