Chapter 729 The Divine Being

Xu Qian got in the car and continued on her way.

The Great Ying base was quite far, a drive of about 4-5 hours.

Xu Qian switched on the autopilot.

By the time she reached the Great Ying base, it was almost dark. The sky was a dull gray, making it hard to see the road.

Acid rain and tornadoes had turned the entire G province upside down, including the Great Ying base.

The Great Ying base was originally made of straw huts, which would collapse in winds of such force.

Now, the entire base was a mess of straw. Scattered personal belongings could be seen among the debris, but no bodies.

Xu Qian breathed a silent sigh of relief. She opened her live map and extended her spiritual consciousness over the entire mountainside.

She saw many green figures halfway up the mountain.

A slight curve formed on Xu Qian's lips. They weren't too foolish; they knew to hide in caves.

In fact, she hadn't been too worried. The middle-aged people of the Great Ying base had survived for so long in the apocalypse, they must have their own survival skills.

She held up her umbrella and slowly walked towards the foot of the mountain.

The mountain was slippery. Even for someone with her good balance, she had to tread carefully, afraid of falling.

After searching for a long time, Xu Qian finally found a cave.

A sturdy wooden door blocked the entrance.

Xu Qian raised her hand and knocked, "Boss Wei, open the door."

Wei Da Ying, deep inside the cave, couldn't hear anything.

Xu Qian frowned and continued knocking.

She had been knocking for a while and was about to break down the door when someone finally responded.

"Who is outside?"

Xu Qian replied, exasperated, "Xu Qian."

With a creak, the door opened.

A familiar face appeared before her, with snow-white hair, neat clothes, and the eternal black shorts and white vest.

Wei Da Ying couldn't help but ask, "Xu Qian, why are you here?"

Anyone venturing out in this weather was indeed extraordinary.

Xu Qian glanced at him and said calmly, "Let's go inside and talk."

Wei Da Ying nodded, stepping aside, and they slowly walked in.

Candles were placed every meter along the stone walls, silent, as if no one was there.

"Where are they?"

"They are inside. This cave existed before the apocalypse. It's very large, enough to house all the people from our three villages."

Xu Qian blinked in surprise and asked, "Are all three bases here?"

"Yes. Whenever there were natural disasters, we took shelter here and only came out after they passed."

Xu Qian narrowed her eyes slightly. That was perfect; she could lure them all to Hope Base.

She subtly tested him, "Boss Wei, have you ever thought about moving?"

Wei Da Ying smiled and shook his head, "This place is quite good. Why would we move?

If the straw huts are gone, we'll just build new ones. Even without straw, we can live in the caves."

Xu Qian raised an eyebrow and continued, "If there's no water or electricity, can you still survive?"

Wei Da Ying paused for a moment, then chuckled, "How is that possible? As long as we pay enough spirit stones, Hope Base will supply us with electricity."

Xu Qian raised an eyebrow and said lightly, "What if? The control is entirely in the hands of Hope Base.

If Boss Guan suddenly has a bad mood one day and decides not to supply you with electricity, what will you do?"

As they talked, they walked deeper into the cave.

At the very back was a huge pool. Looking up, hundreds of caves were neatly arranged along the surrounding stone walls.

Each cave had a candle beside it, and a ladder was placed next to each row of caves for people to climb up.

People heard the noise and looked down. Dense heads emerged from the caves.

It was a spectacular sight.

Xu Qian was startled, surprised that this humble mountain ravine held such a remarkable place!
