The potion took effect quickly, and the grass on He Yueyue's hands vanished, revealing slender yet rough fingers.
She raised her palms in surprise, exclaiming, "It's really gone!"
Could drinking a few more bottles restore her to normal?
Xu Qian glanced at her and warned, "This potion can only be taken once a day. Too much will have the opposite effect. I'll give you one bottle a day until you're completely recovered."
This was merely an excuse. She certainly wouldn't give He Yueyue all the inhibitors at once. She still needed them to slowly increase their friendship points later.
He Yueyue's eyes welled up with tears of gratitude, and her friendship points immediately jumped to 10. "Sister Qian, I'll do anything you ask!" She had promised to help Xu Qian with anything if she could get rid of the grass.
"Kill everyone in this building," Xu Qian said nonchalantly, as if she were casually talking about chopping a head of cabbage to eat.
He Yueyue hesitated. This involved human lives.
"They captured you for experimentation. Do you still intend to show them mercy?"
"If you can't do it, then wait here for me. I'll go down and kill them myself." With that, Xu Qian turned and walked away without a second's pause.
"Wait, can I ask why? Why do you want to kill the people from the Yu Corporation?"
Xu Qian didn't even look back. She entered the elevator and put on her mask. "The Yu Corporation captured you for research. Don't you think they might capture others for research too?"
He Yueyue froze. Right. Everyone said the Yu Corporation was a pharmaceutical company, so why were they capturing people like her for research? She had seen many ordinary people brought in for research in the experimental pods over the past few days. What were they trying to achieve?
He Yueyue's intelligence couldn't fully grasp it yet, but she understood that the Yu Corporation was not a good entity and there was no need to protect them. "I'll go too!"
As the elevator door began to close, He Yueyue squeezed through the gap and stood beside Xu Qian. He Yueyue was quite tall, much taller than the average woman. Xu Qian was also not short, having grown to a solid 1.7 meters over the years. He Yueyue, a girl, was a full head taller, clearly over 1.8 meters.
"Don't speak later. No matter how much they beg for mercy, just kill them."
"Okay."
Xu Qian pressed the button for the next floor.

The elevator doors opened to reveal rows of experimental pods, each containing various experimental subjects. They lay inside, motionless, their faces impassive, quietly awaiting their impending deaths. White-robed researchers walked around with clipboards, noting the condition of each subject.
Suddenly, a vine coiled around her, and she was violently thrown into a corner. Pain shot through her limbs. The woman looked up and saw that the grass doll captured a few days ago had escaped. She reached for her phone to contact security, but it was immediately snatched away by a vine. Her entire body was wrapped tightly in vines, making it difficult to breathe.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! Can you spare me? I apologize."
The pressure from the vines seemed to loosen slightly. The woman's eyes lit up, and she was about to try and persuade further when a cold female voice cut in.
"I told you not to talk to anyone. Just kill them."
The woman's eyes widened as she looked in the direction of the voice. A familiar figure appeared in her pupils. This time, she definitely couldn't escape. Absolutely not.
The vines tightened around her body, and the woman gasped for air before expiring.
He Yueyue blinked. The vines released the dead woman and placed her on the floor. A flicker of guilt crossed her mind. She had killed many zombies and mutated beasts, but rarely people, and she couldn't quite accept it yet.
Xu Qian heard her thoughts and cast a faint glance at her, saying coldly, "I told you, if you can't accept it, wait here for me. I can handle this alone."
