Xu Qian felt like she was about to suffocate, her body turning soft.
Her profile was pressed against his lean yet firm chest, listening to the steady, powerful beat of his heart. Yet, her mind had changed. It wasn't so bad having him around. During downtime, she could try to win his favor, preventing the system from constantly nagging her to find "Target 3" or "Target 4."
"Are you sure you want to follow me?" The earlier daze had completely vanished, her voice now cool and devoid of any emotion.
"Mm."
"I'm going for revenge, and I'm not playing around."
Her tone was indifferent, but her words sent a shiver down one's spine.
Mei Yue Bai smiled, cast a glance down at her, and gently patted her waist. "I'll help you." All he wanted now was another ten Level 2 zombies.
Xu Qian pushed herself up, giving him a stern look. "Take those four girls home first."

Xu Qian could hear his impatient voice even with her eyes closed. Despite his impatience, he meticulously inquired about the detailed addresses of the girls.
University B was an aristocratic school. Most students there were wealthy and lived in a connected villa district.
Except for Li Lili.
She was the daughter of the mayor of F City and lived in a different area designated for officials.
"Screech."
The sound of brakes echoed.
Mei Yue Bai's expression darkened, and he spoke with a half-smile, "Gu Qing, you don't even know how to drive a car?"

Gu Qing was driving when a woman suddenly darted out in front of the car, holding an infant. He almost couldn't stop in time to avoid hitting her.

Gu Qing nodded in agreement. The mother and daughter were too pathetic, and the child was so young. If they stayed out here, they would surely be bitten by zombies.
Xu Qian's eyes were icy. "What do you think?" She looked up at Mei Yue Bai.
Mei Yue Bai raised an eyebrow and smiled gently. "You decide."
"Gu Qing, if we're not leaving, you can get off too." Her tone was cold, with a hint of disdain.
Gu Qing's face stiffened. He started the car again. It was his fault for not knowing his place. He had begged Sister Qian for protection, and he had no right to demand that she save others.
Li Lili's expression turned cold, and she said flatly, "My father hired you to save me. I said let her in, so let her in. Gu Qing, open the door!"
Gu Qing acted as if he hadn't heard her. What did it have to do with him?

Several men inside the house looked on with greed, then hurried downstairs, waiting for an opportunity. They had waited for a long time and were so lucky to encounter an RV. Once they drove off the people inside, this RV would be theirs. Moreover, people with RVs were usually rich, so there must be plenty of food inside.
Xu Qian let out a scornful laugh. In the apocalypse, kindness was not always a good thing.
