Xu Qian lowered her eyes and said, "I did this." Her voice was flat and expressionless, as if merely stating a fact.

Xu Qian sighed, took a cotton quilt from her space, and handed it to Cheng Liangqing. There were no body bags, in fact.
"Let's go, we shouldn't stay here long."
"Okay." Cheng Liangqing spread the quilt on the ground, picked up Cheng Ya Qiu, and wrapped her entire body in it. "Can you tie her for me? I, I'll carry her on my back." After he climbed down, as she was about to ascend the ladder, cries for help came from below.
"There are people down here!"
"Save us, save us."
They were trapped upstairs. There were too many zombies roaming the dormitory. For days, they hadn't dared to leave, relying on the provisions in the room to survive.
Xu Qian's steps faltered. Her expression remained unchanged as she continued to climb the ladder. She wasn't a saint. Let them die if they were to die.
Seeing the girl was leaving, they immediately became anxious. "Hey, have you no conscience? Don't you have teachers? Teachers taught you knowledge, and now is the time to repay them!"
"Yes, yes, yes! Hurry up and bring us down."
A cold smile flickered at the corner of her lips. She climbed to the top of the ladder in three steps.
The surrounding zombies, drawn by the noise, converged towards them. Some of the faster zombies even grabbed the feet of the ladder and began to climb.
"You heartless thing, it's right to bite her!"
"Bite her quickly, bite her! These zombies are too slow."
Anger filled their eyes. Why should she be able to leave while they were trapped here? They would die together.
Xu Qian coldly turned her head, her gaze as cold as frost.
"Deserves to die."
Xu Qian retracted the ladder into her space and jumped onto the car roof. Cheng Liangqing had already placed Cheng Ya Qiu in the trunk and was sitting in the driver's seat.
She got into the car and glanced at him, "Shall I drive?"
Cheng Liangqing's eyes were slightly red, and a trembling smile appeared. "No need, let's go." Finding Xiao Ya wasn't within her responsibilities in the first place, and it was already troublesome enough for her. She couldn't possibly let her drive too.
The car sped off, swift as a gale and fast as lightning.

She closed her eyes and lay on the passenger seat. Her injured right leg trembled. She hadn't felt the pain when she was tense, but now that she was relaxed, her entire leg felt numb and sore, the pain spreading throughout her body.
The stench of decaying corpses filled the entire car. She opened the window and took a deep breath.
"What did Xiao Ya say in the end?"
"She asked me to find her family and told you not to look for her, but in the end, you still went."
Cheng Liangqing's eyes were red as blood, and tears fell from his eyes. She was only 18 years old, with a bright future ahead, but she was killed by this damned apocalypse.
"I am her older brother. No matter where she is, I will bring her home."
