The monster screamed as it was cut in half. The liquid in its body splashed all over Ning Shu.
Ning Shu: …
God no…
Ning Shu wiped her face to remove the mess but noticed something squirming within the liquid. In fact, there were quite a few of them. They were little, thumb-sized monsters.
Ning Shu couldn’t help but glance at Wen Xing, who also looked at her.
Had that large monster’s head been incubating smaller monsters?
Ning Shu felt like throwing up. These small monsters moved incredibly fast.
As soon as they saw a person, they would attack. They especially favored women and always attempted to burrow into their legs.
Ning Shu quickly grabbed a stool and started smashing. Each one exploded upon being hit, dead beyond saving.
However, there were simply too many of them. Ning Shu and Wen Xing couldn’t handle them on their own.Ning Shu saw with her own eyes as a woman’s stomach bulged—a monster had burrowed inside and was wriggling within her belly.
The woman was in excruciating pain and terror, as the creature rampaged through her body.
Ning Shu felt very anxious when she saw that. She wanted to grab a knife and cut open the woman’s stomach to pull the monster out.
However, in the blink of an eye, the monster burst out of the woman’s stomach and swam out.
The woman let out a mournful cry and died. Her stomach had a terrifying, gaping hole.
Ning Shu thrust a knife straight into the monster’s head. Though impaled, its tail still swayed. Its flesh-colored tail looked particularly revolting.
The bar was filled with countless monsters scattering in all directions.
Ning Shu and Wen Xing had only killed a small portion, and the people who hadn’t escaped from the bar were all attacked by the monsters.
Even though Ning Shu had used her fiery yang energy, she could only kill a small number of the monsters.
Ning Shu pressed her lips tightly together. This situation had completely gotten out of hand.
The monsters were still quite fragile, but they would grow stronger.
The bar owner stood there in a daze, looking at his devastated bar, as hopeless as if he had been g**g-r*ped himself.
“Let’s go,” Wen Xing said. He kicked away a monster that was trying to attack the bar owner and dragged him out.
When they exited the bar, the police had already arrived outside.
The bar owner clung to one of the policemen and wailed pitifully.
Ning Shu sat on the ground, exhausted. She stared at her bloodied and mangled hands. She was in so much pain.
Wen Xing also sat down next to her. His face was heavy with exhaustion and he let out a deep sigh.
The police came over to question them, but Ning Shu was too tired to answer questions right now. She leaned her head against a utility pole by the roadside.
Her wounds needed treatment, and her clothes were covered in a disgusting mess.
Wen Xing went over and spoke with the police. After that, he said to Ning Shu, “I’ll take you to the hospital.”
They really should go to the hospital.
Wen Xing had wounds on his face. The gold thread had torn through his gloves and his hands were also injured. In fact, he was not much better off compared to Ning Shu.
The doctor treated both of their wounds.
Ning Shu said, “I didn’t expect that.”
It had been such a struggle to kill the big monster. She hadn’t expected that after they killed the big monster, smaller ones would appear.
“I should have,” Wen Xing said. He had a frown on his face. “But if we didn’t kill it, it would have grown bigger, and the smaller monsters inside would have grown larger and more numerous as well.”
Ning Shu had a tight frown on her face as well. She asked, “Why would something like this happen? Can it reproduce with just… sperm? I mean, itself?”
What the hell? What happened to the rules of nature?
“I think it’s because of the drugs,” Wen Xing said. His face was pale as the doctor applied disinfectant to his wounds.
Ning Shu rolled her eyes.
This was really giving her a headache.
