Two cups of tea

Chapter 39 Little Brother Qin Ning Moves

"I'll do it." Qin Ningyi moved over, intending to take what she was holding.

Huo Rou agilely dodged to the side.

"You just got out of the hospital, don't be stubborn."

An An also looked at Huo Rou with concern, "Mom, please put the things in the shopping cart. Don't carry them."

Huo Rou accepted her son's kindness and put the items in her hands into the cart.

Qin Ningyi followed the mother and son, the cart already piled high with things. They were currently standing in the kitchenware section.

"Dad, that wok! And a steamer!" An An directed Qin Ningyi to get things, giving Huo Rou no chance to lift anything heavy.

Huo Rou didn't understand kitchenware, so she simply stood by and pushed the cart.

Under An An's direction, Qin Ningyi had filled the second cart. Looking at the pile of pots, pans, and plates, he couldn't help but say, "An An, wouldn't it be nice to just go straight home for dinner?"

"Mom doesn't want to." An An glanced at Huo Rou. Seeing her indifferent expression, he pouted helplessly at Qin Ningyi.

"Okay, Dad, let's go, next stop." An An was mostly doting on Huo Rou. As long as he could stay here and see his dad often, he was satisfied.

After selecting the items, Qin Ningyi had An An distract Huo Rou during checkout, and he paid for everything himself.

"I have money." While the store clerk was packing the items, Huo Rou whispered to Qin Ningyi, clearly unwilling for him to spend the money.

"Yes, you have money, and you can even buy a house outright." Qin Ningyi glanced at her and couldn't help but ask, "That neighborhood isn't cheap. Where did you get the money to buy a house outright?"

"Savings." Although she didn't want to answer, seeing that Qin Ningyi had followed them all the way, Huo Rou still replied with two words.

"Where did it come from? An An said you grow flowers, it couldn't be from a few flowers, could it?" Qin Ningyi was very worried that such a seemingly soft and sweet young girl like Huo Rou had so much money. "Did you borrow it from that friend of yours?"

"No." Huo Rou walked forward, intending to carry those few boxes of pots and pans. An An blocked her, stubbornly refusing to let her near them.

"If you run out of money, tell me." Seeing that Huo Rou was unwilling to say more, Qin Ningyi knew he wouldn't get an answer. He walked over to pick up the items. "I'll do it. The car is outside. You and An An can push the rest of the things over."

Huo Rou looked speechlessly at Qin Ningyi carrying several boxes towards the parking lot. She glanced at the cart beside her.

Actually, she had just intended to put the items back in the cart and push them out the door.

"Dad..." An An also looked at the empty cart and hesitated.

Huo Rou said calmly, "He has the strength. Let's go."

Fortunately, it was difficult to hail a taxi around here, so Huo Rou had no choice but to accept Qin Ningyi as their driver.

The back of the car was packed full, so she had to hold An An and sit in the passenger seat. Qin Ningyi looked at the first-ever female occupant in the passenger seat beside him, his lips curling up unconsciously.

Huo Rou leaned lazily against the car window, watching the scenery outside.

The sun was high in the sky, the vegetation lush. This place was much hotter than the countryside. They would be living here from now on.

Thinking of this, Huo Rou picked up her phone and lazily sent messages.

As the car drove into the residential complex, the property management manager was about to go home for lunch when he saw Qin Ningyi's car returning. Seeing him unloading items from the car, he quickly called over a few security guards to help.

"Mr. Qin, Mr. Qin." The manager hurried over. "Let us do it. Where are you moving these to?"

Huo Rou glanced sideways at the manager and, happy to be relieved of the burden, didn't say much.

"Unit 1, 1901. Please." Qin Ningyi stated the apartment number. The men unloaded the items from the car and headed towards Unit 1.

Huo Rou and An An walked at the front. The group moved all the items into the house in one go.

Qin Ningyi, as the boss of the movers, followed them into their new home.

The room wasn't large, probably over ninety square meters. The walls were a light, misty blue, very fresh. There was only a sofa in the living room, making it look quite spacious.

"Mr. Qin, are you moving in here?" the manager asked, wiping sweat from his brow. "There's still another unit for sale in this building, and it's larger. Perhaps you should switch?"

"Switch."

"No need."

Qin Ningyi and Huo Rou spoke at the same time. Hearing Huo Rou's voice, the manager's heart fluttered, and he secretly sighed, "As expected of Mr. Qin's woman!"

The affirmative response naturally came from Qin Ningyi, while the "no need" was spoken by Huo Rou.

Qin Ningyi looked at Huo Rou. "This room is indeed a bit small. I'll find you a bigger one."

"No, it's just right for my son and me. You don't need to trouble yourself." Huo Rou said a few more words this time. Qin Ningyi knew he currently had no standing to interfere too much.

As soon as the items were sorted, the home appliances were delivered.

After a period of busyness, An An's stomach growled.

"Hungry? Let me take you out to eat." Qin Ningyi smiled and suggested.

An An looked at Huo Rou pitifully. He could tell his mother strongly disliked his father. His dream would require a lot more effort. He had to create more opportunities for his dad!

Huo Rou met her son's pleading gaze. The words of refusal were on the tip of her tongue but she swallowed them back.

Never mind, if they weren't going out to eat, then An An would have to cook. Her son was this hungry.

Seeing Huo Rou nod, Qin Ningyi let out an unspoken sigh of relief and took the mother and son out.

When ordering food, Qin Ningyi finally confirmed whose taste An An's preferences followed. The table was filled with sour and spicy dishes, all described by An An as "what Mom likes to eat."

Master Chen, the chef in the back kitchen, looked at the table of dishes and casually asked, "Is the person who ordered these dishes pregnant? Are there any dietary restrictions?"

The waiter thought of Huo Rou's soft and cute little face and confidently replied, "She's not pregnant. A handsome guy was dining with a young lady and her younger brother."

Master Chen was relieved.
