Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Artificial Intelligence 1
Su Ziyu moved, and Pasha immediately followed.
The woman in the protective suit hesitated for a moment before quickly trailing behind them. Uncertain if there were other dangers outside, she felt a bit afraid to go out alone and thought it safer to stay behind Su Ziyu. Several originally closed gates seemed to have been opened, and the woman kept sneaking glances at Su Ziyu along the way, seemingly very curious about his identity.
After passing through a cold underground passage, everything gradually opened up.
There was actually a separate underground laboratory beneath the underground facility, but as soon as they entered, there was a pungent metallic smell in the air.
The rooms here were different from the glass setups outside, which seemed to be for biochemical experiments. Here, there were all kinds of metal parts and what looked like lifelike mannequins made of silicone. When first seen, it made Su Ziyu jump, thinking there were still living people here, but upon closer inspection, he realized they were fake, though very realistic, like life-size silicone models. The mannequin was quite heavy, around 70 kilograms, completed as a female model, with a male model beside it, though its exterior was damaged for some reason, revealing what seemed to be white metal skeletons inside.
Beep beep beep.
A sealed alloy door opened, revealing a large amount of electronic equipment inside.
It seemed to be a considerable-sized laboratory, and just after entering, Su Ziyu saw a large, old-fashioned computer occupying a big area, about twelve meters in diameter, with many faint lights flickering on it. Su Ziyu had no idea what it was, but it felt somewhat like a supercomputer of this era.
"Backing up the Bionic Human plan data!" a cold electronic voice sounded.
Some data appeared on a large screen ahead, and both Su Ziyu and Pasha walked over, while the woman in the protective suit curiously observed the various body parts placed around.
Most of these body parts were made of precision machinery, with some being bionic limbs Su Ziyu had seen before, which used silicone-like materials outside.
——Human Redemption Plan!
Su Ziyu immediately noticed the large characters at the top of the data.
The annotations left by researchers back then were on the data, briefly stating that the primary goal of this plan was to address the pollution value brought by Antiradiation Potions, trying various ways to eliminate the pollution value accumulated after taking the potion. If this plan failed, the laboratory would launch an alternative plan — the Bionic Human plan!
The bloodline of humanity has been polluted.
At the top of the data, researchers stated that they had exhausted all means but still couldn’t eliminate the pollution value caused by using antiradiation drugs, at most delaying and suppressing it, but at the final outbreak, more terrifying monsters would be created. So, they initiated an alternative plan, defining future humans as Bionic Humans.
By replacing a large number of organs with bionic ones, humans would be transformed into special mechanical humans and bionic humans.
The advantage of this plan was a substantial increase in human resistance to radiation pollution, while reducing the demand for antiradiation drugs among ordinary people. Even if they accumulated a large pollution value using antiradiation drugs, their chances of experiencing radiation aberration reactions would be much lower than that of ordinary humans.
Moreover!
Most importantly, the organs of bionic humans are not made of flesh, while the pollution value during radiation mutation outbreaks needs flesh the most. If bionic humans undergo special radiation mutation, it is highly likely that at the moment of mutation, their bionic organs inside would be directly damaged by the radiation mutation, and the entire radiation mutation reaction would be forcibly terminated due to human death.
In simpler terms, a standard bionic human, when undergoing radiation mutation, has most of its bodily limbs replaced with bionic products except for the head and brain.
Of course.
This plan also had a clear flaw, in that the reproduction of humans would become difficult, with ethical and moral aspects facing certain shocks. However, the advantages were obvious too: the lifespan of bionic humans would significantly increase, reaching over 120 years with timely replacement of bionic limbs.
The ultimate goal of the entire plan was to transform all the surviving elite classes into bionic humans, and through these bionic humans, restore civilization and explore new paths of civilization.
Eventually, completely freeing from the dependence on Antiradiation Potions, Natural Persons would propagate and flourish in the new era of civilization in the ways of the past.
It must be said.
After skimming through the Bionic Human plan, Su Ziyu was truly shocked by these people’s ideas.
But unfortunately, there were no details about Antiradiation Potions in this, merely stating that in the world after the day of the great catastrophe, humanity cannot live without this special drug.
In Su Ziyu’s former world, nuclear radiation pollution seemed to be incurable.
Ordinary people, once polluted by nuclear radiation, basically only had the choice to await death, with the duration of remaining life determined by the degree of radiation pollution. But in this world, things were different. Antiradiation drugs indeed eliminated the damage caused by nuclear radiation pollution. With enough drugs, ordinary people might survive for twenty years even under continuous radiation pollution, though the body would accumulate increasing pollution values.
"What on earth is this Antiradiation Potion, some kind of black technology?"
"And that person from the Brotherhood."
"Is he a bionic human?"
This Bionic Human plan was incomplete, with the research work unfinished, but it contained a wealth of bionic technology. Even organs inside the human body could be replaced with bionic alternatives. Although this valuable data was trapped in the underground lab, the outside world seemed to have conducted similar research, suggesting this might not have been the only lab executing this Human Redemption Plan.
"Copy complete."
"Survivors. Please hand this data over to the current government organizations of human society." The artificial intelligence of the underground facility seemed quite primitive, feeling a bit stiff and rigid.
Su Ziyu gestured for Pasha to take the copied data, then whispered, "Get this thing out first."
"We’ll see how to handle it later."
In the early days after the outbreak of the great catastrophe, there were some remaining government organizations in human society, but they were predominantly controlled by the Financial Tycoons’ Influence. Nowadays, the most powerful are these financial tycoons, followed by special organizations like the Freelancer and the Brotherhood. Whether this plan can be executed or not doesn’t concern Su Ziyu, but if the bionic technology is brought out, it could certainly offer a glimmer of hope to the currently shattered human civilization.
