Chapter 175 A Family Sleeps Together

"Wen Zhiyan, you dared to lie to me," Fang Miaomiao buried her head in Wen Zhiyan's arms, feeling her heart pound out of her chest. "You almost scared me to death just now."

"If you're so scared, why watch it?"

"That's precisely why I watched it," Fang Miaomiao retorted righteously. "That's what makes it exciting, isn't it?"

She had a knack for being both cowardly and curious.

"All right," Wen Zhiyan patted Fang Miaomiao's shoulder gently. "I didn't trick you this time, that girl is really gone."

"Fine, I'll trust you one more time," Fang Miaomiao mumbled, cautiously peeking her head out.

Seeing that there were no horrifying scenes, she finally breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Two hours later, the movie ended with Fang Miaomiao jumping in fright.

"Good thing the room is soundproof, otherwise, it would have been a sin to wake An An."

"Miaomiao, can you sleep alone tonight?"

She couldn't sleep alone?

Who did he think she was?

"Nonsense, how could I be afraid to sleep alone?"

With that said, Fang Miaomiao completely ignored Wen Zhiyan, who was still sitting on the sofa, and went back to the bedroom. "Goodnight, Wen Zhiyan."

Wen Zhiyan's lips curved slightly. "Goodnight, Miaomiao."

Twenty minutes later.

Wen Zhiyan's door creaked open.

A figure, carrying a pillow, tiptoed inside.

"Miaomiao?"

Fang Miaomiao froze in place, holding the pillow, unsure whether to enter or retreat.

"Ahem," Fang Miaomiao rubbed her nose, her eyes darting. "It's so late, and you're still awake. You weren't scared, were you?"

Wen Zhiyan masked the smile in his eyes. "Yes, I was scared."

"I knew you were scared, so I came over to sleep with you."

Wen Zhiyan raised an eyebrow. Although his Miaomiao had taken liberties with him many times in her sleep, this was the first time she had come to his room while awake.

Fang Miaomiao was also feeling guilty, but she had no choice. The horror movie had had too great an effect. Covering her head with the blanket didn't help; she was afraid a ghost would climb out from under the bed, snuggle into her covers, and giggle at her.

She really couldn't stand that atmosphere.

Originally, she had wanted to sleep in An An's room, but the door wouldn't open, and she didn't want to wake An An.

The only option left was Wen Zhiyan's room. She had thought Wen Zhiyan would be sound asleep by now, and if she entered quietly, she wouldn't be discovered.

After all, she wasn't climbing into Wen Zhiyan's bed for the first time.

"Thank you, Miaomiao," Wen Zhiyan said softly.

"You're… you're welcome."

Once in bed, Fang Miaomiao instinctively slept at the very edge.

"Miaomiao, aren't you afraid of falling off?"

"Huh? It's okay, I'm a very honest sleeper," Fang Miaomiao blushed involuntarily.

"Alright," Wen Zhiyan feared he might tease her too much, and it was indeed late. "Goodnight, Miaomiao."

"Goodnight."

The desk lamp clicked off, and the entire bedroom plunged into darkness.

Yet, Fang Miaomiao felt no fear. She smelled the faint fragrance on the quilt, her mind blank.

Help, she had actually gotten into Wen Zhiyan's bed while fully conscious.

Slowly, little by little, she moved her head to look in Wen Zhiyan's direction.

Even though she couldn't see anything, Fang Miaomiao thought Wen Zhiyan looked handsome.

As she watched.

Fang Miaomiao drifted off into a dream.

She was woken by a milky scent.

"An An?"

Fang Miaomiao instinctively reached out an arm.

The texture she touched was a bit hard.

It didn't feel like An An's body at all.

"An An?"

"Mommy, you're hugging Daddy."

It was normal for her to hug her boyfriend.

Boyfriend?

Fang Miaomiao's eyes snapped open. She saw Wen Zhiyan sitting up in bed, holding a book she couldn't understand, while her arm was around his waist.

And that milky scent was coming from her back.

"Good morning, Mommy."

Fang Miaomiao recoiled as if electrocuted, quickly withdrawing her arm and offering Wen Zhiyan above her an awkward but polite smile. "Good morning, Wen Zhiyan."

"Good morning."

Wen Zhiyan greeted her, his mood cheerful.

Fang Miaomiao then immediately turned to look at the grinning Wen Yan An. "Ah, this little fellow lured me with his milky scent, making me instinctively reach out to hug him."

Wen Yan An immediately snuggled into Fang Miaomiao's arms. "Mommy, I said good morning to you just now, and you didn't respond."

"I apologize, good morning, An An."

"It's okay, Mommy doesn't need to apologize."

"The most basic thing after making a mistake is to apologize," Fang Miaomiao said, shaking her head. "You can't be rude, nor can you be blindly polite. If Mommy makes a mistake, she must apologize to you too."

Wen Yan An nuzzled Fang Miaomiao's neck without speaking.

"Little friend An An, I have a question for you."

"Yes, Mommy, ask me."

Fang Miaomiao's expression was somewhat complicated. "An An, why did you lock your room door last night?"

"I accidentally locked it," Wen Yan An scratched his head. Humph, if he had known Mommy wanted to sleep in his bed last night, he should have checked if his door was locked before going to sleep.

"Is that so?" Fang Miaomiao rubbed Wen Yan An's head. "I'm so sleepy. An An, want to stay in bed with Mommy for a bit longer?"

"Okay," Wen Yan An replied crisply.

"Hahaha."

The two of them instantly tussled on the bed, almost involving a third party.

"Daddy, you're disturbing Mommy and me sleeping here."

Wen Zhiyan raised an eyebrow slightly, then sent a text message to Aunt Lin and Yuan Zhao. He put down his phone and lay back down on the bed.

"Daddy?" Wen Yan An looked at the scene in front of him with some surprise.

"It's still early, let's sleep."

Wen Yan An froze, then his pupils widened, and his body instinctively squeezed between Wen Zhiyan and Fang Miaomiao. "Let's sleep, sleeping with Mommy and Daddy."

His excited and eager demeanor made Wen Zhiyan pause for a moment, then his lips curved upwards. "Okay, sleeping together with Miaomiao and An An."

Fang Miaomiao blushed and tucked Wen Yan An in.

"Mommy, I thought I wouldn't have a chance to sleep with Daddy and Mommy."

"How could that be?"

"Sorry."

Wen Yan An placed his hand on Wen Zhiyan's, then pulled Fang Miaomiao's hand and placed them both on himself. "Daddy, you don't need to say sorry. An An is very happy. An An has Daddy, and Mommy, and now I'm sleeping with Mommy and Daddy. An An is the happiest child in the world."

Listening to Wen Yan An say this earnestly, word by word, Fang Miaomiao's eyes felt a sting.

"Mommy."

Wen Yan An pulled Fang Miaomiao's hand, then pulled Wen Zhiyan's hand and placed them on himself. "Will we always be together?"

"Yes."

"Mommy?"

"Yes, your Mommy will always love her precious An An."

His undisguised affection made Wen Yan An purse his lips shyly, his pupils filled with childish light and joy. "An An will always love Mommy too."

The three of them lay on the bed and slept in.
