As the figure jumped down, Zhou Yong here couldn't help but shout out in alarm. The moment the sound escaped his lips, he quickly covered his mouth, cutting himself off.
He felt he was overreacting, and compared to Chu Jin's composure, he was making a mountain out of a molehill.
The owner of the figure who jumped down was Su Ling.
Disliking the trouble of climbing down the stairs, Su Ling chose to jump out the window, within her controllable range.
After Su Ling landed, Zhou Yong recognized her and looked at her with curious, probing eyes.
Before he could stare at Su Ling for too long, another figure leaped down. With Su Ling's precedent, Zhou Yong didn't overreact this time, but he still stumbled back a step in fright.
Shang Qi stood beside Su Ling, her gaze fixed on Zhou Yong, scrutinizing him.
Chu Jin continued to lean against the car window, looking at Su Ling and Shang Qi. "Su Ling won, what was the bet?"
"There was no bet." Su Ling looked at Chu Jin. "It's time to go back. We're eating python meat tonight."
"Ok!"
"Python meat!"
Compared to Zhou Yong's shock, Chu Jin appeared delighted.
Zhou Yong's reaction led Chu Jin to discover a new marvel. He chimed in, "Yes, we went into the mountains this morning and killed a giant python. Its body, curled up, was as big as a basketball court!"
"After we killed the python, Su Ling set it on fire and roasted it. We cut up the meat and stored it. We'll bring it back tonight for a feast."
Chu Jin took off his sunglasses and looked at Zhou Yong, whose face had turned slightly pale. "Since you're joining us today, we'll have a small welcoming party when we get back. We'll treat you with this python meat."
When Zhou Yong heard that the python was as big as a basketball court, he felt a chill from head to toe. On such a hot day, he felt no warmth, only an extreme cold.
A python the size of a basketball court – his imagination was limited. He couldn't fathom how Su Ling and the other two managed to kill it, let alone how they would eat such a massive creature.
Just thinking about it sent shivers down his spine.
Seeing Zhou Yong's reluctance, Chu Jin added fuel to the fire, saying, "It's specially prepared for you. Don't you dare refuse, you must eat several pieces."
Meanwhile, Su Ling and Shang Qi, while Chu Jin was distracting Zhou Yong, had already gotten into the car and fastened their seatbelts.
Chu Jin looked at the stunned Zhou Yong. "What are you still waiting for? Get in the car."
Zhou Yong was resistant. He didn't want to eat python meat at the welcome party tonight!
Chu Jin shook his head helplessly. "If you don't want python meat, you can have chicken, duck, fish, vegetables, fruits, and melons. Get in the car!"

Seeing that Zhou Yong was still frozen, Chu Jin grew impatient. "Oh, come on, brother, stop dawdling. Hurry up, will you? I'm eager to get back and feast."
Zhou Yong looked at Chu Jin, wanting to speak but holding back. Finally, he resigned himself, walked around the car to where he had vomited earlier, opened the door, and got in, waiting for the car to start.
Soon, the car slowly moved. Zhou Yong sat inside, looking out at the building that Su Ling had ravaged and which was now engulfed in flames.
As the fire spread to the adjacent buildings, he felt a pang of regret. The car moved, slowly driving away from the pharmaceutical factory.
The factory gradually shrank in Zhou Yong's eyes, becoming a black speck, and finally disappearing from his sight entirely.
Only when everything was out of view did he resignedly turn to face forward, looking towards a future that might lead to light or darkness. He could only gamble.
