Chapter 488 Going Downstairs Together

Chu Jin did not answer immediately, but seriously considered Zhou Yong’s question.

After thinking it through, Chu Jin finally spoke, "Yes."

More than just many people, it was the people of a whole castle.

And a new base was under construction. Once it was completed, it would house the people of a base.

Moreover, as the base was established, Su Ling and the others would gradually broadcast messages, continuously accepting survivors.

Hearing Chu Jin's words, Zhou Yong had no precise concept of this large number of people.

After all, everyone's definition of "many" was different!

In any case, now that he confirmed Chu Jin didn't eat people and wouldn't harm him, Zhou Yong felt no resistance, aversion, or fear.

He was now very curious about Su Ling and the others' big family, curious how many people there were, and what kind of family it was.

After dispelling Zhou Yong’s worries, Chu Jin couldn't be bothered to deal with people anymore and continued to bask in the sun by the car window.

The two sat in the car, neither speaking, both waiting for Su Ling and Shang Qi to finish their scavenging and return, so they could go back.

One wanted to see Su Ling and the others’ big family, while the other was simply hungry and wanted to go back for a feast.

For Chu Jin, after joining Su Ling and the others, he had fallen in love with the communal meals. They were truly delicious, fragrant, and filling.

Most importantly, he was happy to be with his brother.

And he had his exclusive seven-minute cooked food, which was incredibly delightful, far better than living alone, much happier!

While Chu Jin and Zhou Yong were waiting for Su Ling and Shang Qi, Su Ling had already arrived at the building where Chu Jin had resolved the safety hazards, and was working diligently like a busy bee.

From the first floor to the eighth floor, Su Ling had finished scavenging all the medicine. She lazily lay by the window on the eighth floor, looking at the opposite building.

The people in the opposite building seemed to sense something and walked out of the building, standing by the window. The person who emerged was Shang Qi. He had finished his scavenging and was looking at Su Ling from across a building.

Seeing Shang Qi, Su Ling's expressionless face immediately broke into a smile. She waved at Shang Qi, "A’Qi, are you done over there?"

Seeing Su Ling, Shang Qi smiled dotingly, "Done."

"Then—" Su Ling looked at Shang Qi, her voice clear and pleasant, "Let's meet downstairs."

"No need to meet downstairs." Shang Qi said this, then took out a climbing rope from his storage space, raised it to show Su Ling, "I'll swing over, and we'll go down together."

Su Ling slightly curved her lips, "Okay, throw the rope over, I'll catch it and help you secure it."

"Okay." After Shang Qi agreed, he looked at Su Ling and said gently, "Move back a bit. I'll throw it, and you help me confirm if it's secured."

Su Ling obediently retreated, stepping away from the window.

After Su Ling left the window, Shang Qi threw the climbing rope with force, and the grappling hook at the end of the rope secured itself to the windowsill.

Su Ling glanced at it, then looked at Shang Qi, giving him an okay sign.

After receiving Su Ling's confirmation, Shang Qi secured the other end of the climbing rope. After testing its safety, Shang Qi clipped the rappelling buckle onto the climbing rope, then jumped onto the windowsill and leaped down, sliding directly towards the window of the building where Su Ling was.

With a leap, Shang Qi crossed the windowsill and landed steadily. Leaning against the windowsill, he looked at Su Ling with his arms outstretched, "Come here for a hug."

Su Ling smiled and ran towards Shang Qi, throwing herself into his arms, crashing into him.
