Chapter 384 Envious Castle

Wen Shangyin, after hearing Song Lian's words, had no time to speak. He looked towards Su Ling.

The more he looked, the more astonishing it became.

What did Wen Shangyin see?

He saw Wen Shangsheng, whom Shang Qi had claimed was thrown into the sea to feed the fish, now looking at Su Ling and Shang Qi with adoration.

From afar, he couldn't hear what Wen Shangsheng was saying, but judging by his expression, he was very happy.

Realizing he had been deceived, Wen Shangyin was so furious that he kicked the toppled chair again.

He lost his balance and almost fell to the ground. Fortunately, Song Lian, with quick reflexes, supported him, thus avoiding embarrassment.

"Excellent," Wen Shangyin said, steadying himself and placing his hands behind his back, his face flushed with anger. "I trusted him, and he deceived me. If I hadn't seen Shangsheng safe and sound before my very eyes, Shang Qi would have had me completely fooled!"

Song Lian supported Wen Shangyin and understood the situation clearly. They were no match for the third young master.

"Master Yin, it's alright," Song Lian said to comfort Wen Shangyin, explaining to him word by word. "We already have a contract in black and white with the third young master and his group. We will assist them in establishing the new base. Once the new base is completed, we will return to our capital. From then on, we will go our separate ways and have no further contact."

Song Lian spoke with confidence because he clearly understood that Shang Qi had no interest in the family fortune.

They didn't need to worry about Shang Qi and his group coveting their wealth; it would be a needless cause for anxiety.

Wen Shangyin also understood this logic. After this series of events, he clearly recognized the gap between himself and Shang Qi.

Before witnessing Shang Qi's actions firsthand, he was very confident in himself. However, after seeing Shang Qi's strength, he no longer dared to be so self-assured.

Especially since Su Ling and her companions had gained a zombie king as a partner, they could not be easily offended.

If they offended her and incurred Su Ling's displeasure or resentment, she might turn her back on them, and they would be the ones to suffer.

"Let's go over," Wen Shangyin said, having come to his senses. He sighed helplessly. "If I was deceived, then I was deceived. Shangsheng is my brother. He is alive and well, and as his elder brother, I am delighted to see it."

"Shang Qi even deceived me about this; it seems he is truly utterly disappointed in me as his elder brother. Oh well, once the new base is completed, we will return to the capital. From now on, we will go our separate ways and not interfere with each other, whether in life or death."

Song Lian said nothing but followed Wen Shangyin to rejoin Su Ling and her group.

By the time Wen Shangyin and Song Lian arrived, Su Ling had already introduced Chu Jin to Gu Shangse and the others.

Regarding Chu Jin's new addition, Gu Shangse and the others knew his identity but still warmly welcomed him to join them.

This group of people was unwavering in their support for Su Ling's decisions and never doubted them.

When Wen Shangyin and Song Lian arrived, Su Ling and her group were preparing to return to the castle to discuss the site selection for the new base with Zhang Wenbin.

Seeing Wen Shangyin approach, although Shang Qi didn't want to deal with his elder brother, he still spoke, "We are about to discuss the site selection for the new base. Shall we discuss it together?"

Wen Shangyin also wanted to get a glimpse of Su Ling's mobile castle. Upon hearing this, he readily agreed.

Despite agreeing, Wen Shangyin was also wary of them trapping him, so he brought many of his own men with him for security.

Although he had prepared himself mentally, when Wen Shangyin and Song Lian boarded the mobile castle, they were still astonished by its interior structure.

This mobile castle was far superior to their own base.

It was so good that Wen Shangyin's eyes turned red with envy!
