Chapter 349 To Carry or To Embrace?

Shang Qi held Su Ling tightly, his eyes red as he looked down. "I saw it."

After those four words, Shang Qi fell silent, only tightening his embrace around Su Ling.

Held in Shang Qi's arms, Su Ling felt the shift in his aura. She gently patted his back, "Saw what?"

While asking Shang Qi, Su Ling pushed him away slightly, standing on the steps and looking at his red eyes. "Tell me, what's wrong?"

Shang Qi met Su Ling's gaze, reaching out to hold her hand. "I saw the scene of your death in the past life."

Su Ling was taken aback upon hearing this. Her hand, held in his, trembled. She looked at Shang Qi, "Did you have a dream?"

Shang Qi hummed and nodded, looking at Su Ling.

"It's alright, it's all in the past." Su Ling pulled Shang Qi's hand and walked towards the courtyard. As she walked, she glanced back at Shang Qi, observing his expression. "Don't let the past life trap us. Let's cherish this life."

She pulled Shang Qi to sit down, then sat opposite him. "Do you want to go out? Or, I can pick some fruit from the space for you. You really should try it. The fruit from this space is juicy and sweet, and it's very beneficial to us."

Shang Qi held Su Ling's hand, shook his head, and looked at her. "Let's go out."

"Okay." As Su Ling responded, they instantly returned from the bright space to the dim operation room.

The operation room was very dark, and there was still some time before dawn.

Su Ling sat on the sofa, looking at Shang Qi. "Sleep, and you'll arrive when you wake up."

Shang Qi was still blaming himself. Su Ling didn't intend to persuade him, only giving him time.

Following Su Ling's words, Shang Qi obediently lay down, using the sofa cushion as a pillow.

After Shang Qi lay down, Su Ling pulled a blanket to cover him, gently patting his body to lull him to sleep.

Shang Qi didn't close his eyes. He opened them, looking at Su Ling, holding her hand tightly.

He was afraid he was still dreaming. The aftermath of that dream was too powerful, and he was filled with lingering fear.

Su Ling remained silent. Seeing that he was still awake, she simply lifted the blanket and lay down, nestled in his arms, holding him tightly. "Sleep, I'm here."

Shang Qi turned over, making space for Su Ling, then pulled her into his embrace.

Now, Shang Qi felt at ease, his large hand holding Su Ling firmly. "Alright, sleep."

Meanwhile, on Rao Beichen and Rao Can's side.

After Su Ling was taken away by Shang Qi, everyone else gradually left.

Those who could hold their liquor were responsible for taking the less tolerant, drunken individuals back to their rooms to rest.

Rao Can was already stumbling drunk, yet her mind was exceptionally clear and very excited.

Rao Beichen was responsible for escorting Rao Can back to her room. He held her hand, coaxing her along the way.

Although Rao Can still felt unsatisfied, she was very obedient to Rao Beichen and allowed him to lead her towards the villa.

After drinking, Rao Can swayed unsteadily. She simply stopped walking and stood still.

Rao Beichen looked at her when she stopped. "Carry? Hug?"

Rao Can blinked, looking at Rao Beichen who was asking her. She was drunk and her reactions were slow.

After a long while, she let out a burp and said, "Carry."

Rao Beichen turned around, squatting in front of Rao Can. He looked back at her and patted his shoulder. "Come here."

Rao Can obediently stepped forward and leaned over, resting on Rao Beichen's back.

Rao Beichen straightened up with her on his back and walked towards the villa.

After carrying her back to the room, Rao Beichen gently and carefully put her down and began to busy himself taking care of the drunk person.

When Rao Can was comfortably lying in the soft, fragrant bed and had fallen asleep, Rao Beichen did not leave her room. Instead, he remained in the room, bringing a chair and sitting by the bed, watching over Rao Can.
