Chapter 246 An Acquaintance

After confirming that Su Ling had truly left, Lin Enxin turned to look at the dazzling array of vacuum-sealed food. She ran back to her room, found the bag, and ran out.

She had opened the bag and started filling it with food.

Once the bag was packed full of food, she lifted it and slung it over her shoulder, then headed downstairs with the food on her back.

After Su Ling left the second floor, she walked out of the shop and headed towards Gu Shangse and his group.

The situation here needed to be reported to them.

Although the other party was only one person, this was the apocalypse, and they absolutely could not be careless or underestimate their opponent.

As Su Ling approached, Gu Shangse was taking a break to drink water.

Seeing her return, Gu Shangse glanced behind her, then his gaze settled back on her. "Finished collecting?"

Su Ling shook her head. "We found a survivor in the deli shop over there, a girl with ice ability. Be careful when you're digging for crystal cores. I'm going to continue sweeping the remaining shops, and then we'll head back."

Gu Shangse grunted. He looked at Su Ling. "Be careful. If—"

Before he could finish, he saw Lin Enxin emerge from the shop with a large bag on her back.

Subconsciously, Gu Shangse immediately rushed forward, shielding Su Ling behind him.

His action immediately alerted Sister Na and the others. They all stopped what they were doing and looked forward.

Lin Enxin was struggling to walk forward with a heavy bag of food on her shoulder.

As she walked, she felt something was wrong. She looked up and saw Gu Shangse and the others looking at her with hostility.

"Ah, don't attack, don't attack—" Lin Enxin panicked and quickly raised her hands.

As she raised her hands, the large bag of food fell to the ground with a thud.

Su Ling emerged from behind Gu Shangse. She looked at Lin Enxin, who was chasing after her, and was about to speak when a voice rang out.

"Lin Enxin?"

Jiang Jiang didn't recognize Lin Enxin at first. He stared at her for a while, finding her vaguely familiar.

It wasn't until Lin Enxin spoke that he realized his feeling of familiarity wasn't an illusion; she was indeed an acquaintance.

Lin Enxin heard someone call her name and looked towards Jiang Jiang, who had called her. She stared at him for a long time. "Are you?"

"I'm Jiang Jiang!" Jiang Jiang waved at her. As if he remembered something, he explained, "My face was injured, and it's still recovering, so I'm wearing a mask and only showing half my face."

"Oh." Lin Enxin lowered her raised hands. She bent down, hoisted the large bag of food back onto her shoulder, and then looked at Su Ling. "Um, can I join your team?"

"This—" Jiang Jiang scratched his head. Before he could answer Lin Enxin, she continued on her own, "This bag of food, including everything upstairs, is all yours."

After saying this, the belatedly realizing Lin Enxin suddenly turned her head and looked back at the shop.

When she saw the empty shop, she finally realized something was wrong.

Swallowing, Lin Enxin looked at Su Ling. "You took everything inside?"

Damn it, if that was the case, this team was amazing. She had to join, absolutely had to join.

Before Su Ling could answer her question, Lin Enxin continued, "What are the conditions to join you?"

Su Ling looked at Lin Enxin, then at Jiang Jiang. "What's your relationship with her? Do you think I should agree or refuse if she wants to join us?"

Jiang Jiang, who was asked by Su Ling, looked at Su Ling with a serious and earnest expression. "Sister can make the decision. You don't need to ask me. I will resolutely and unwaveringly support and uphold all of Sister's decisions."

Although the others weren't asked, their thoughts were the same as Jiang Jiang's.

Lin Enxin realized that Su Ling was the one with the decision-making power in this team.

Thinking that she had ambushed Su Ling before, Lin Enxin knew her chances of joining were slim. She sighed silently. "It's okay if I can't join. You can give me some information about where I should go."
