Chapter 26 Sequence 012: Pseudo Railgun

Duan Chen stared at the blue energy sphere, acutely aware of its extreme danger. Even he would struggle to escape unscathed if hit head-on, let alone with a group of students behind him.

He quickly assessed the situation and sighed softly, "I didn't want to use this move."

He closed his eyes gently, then reopened them.

"Replicate and Read—[Thief's Eye]."

The black roulette in his eyes spun with extreme speed.

*Click—!*

The roulette suddenly stopped, and his pupils bore the image of someone aiming a gun and firing.

Immediately after, Duan Chen moved. A powerful aura surged from his feet, his spiritual pressure spiraling upwards.

The wind picked up, rustling the books on the desks. The students shielded their heads, peeking at Duan Chen from under their arms, afraid to miss a single moment.

At this moment, Duan Chen's aura was completely different from before.

Transcendence, tranquility, relaxation... as if he were a different person.

He slowly raised his arm to a 90-degree angle with his body, perfectly replicating the posture of the shooter in his pupils.

"Sequence 012: Pseudo-Railgun."

Duan Chen pulled the trigger, and a terrifying, blinding beam erupted from the barrel.

Teacher Liu's face contorted in terror. The energy ball he was gathering instantly lost its appeal; how could this small orb compare to a railgun!

*Boom—!*

With no chance to resist, Teacher Liu only managed to brace himself with his arms before being consumed and torn apart by the railgun. The terrifying light projectile pierced the classroom wall and shot towards the sky.

Duan Chen's eyes returned to normal, but his body felt drained.

Damn, this move consumes too much spiritual power, but it’s truly devastating.

With his current spiritual power reserves, one shot would leave him completely depleted. The path of cultivation was still long.

He swayed and leaned against the wall, panting.

The school corridor had now become a ruin, walls crumbling to reveal rebar and concrete, floor tiles scattered, nothing intact.

The logistics department would have to work hard again... Duan Chen hadn't intended to cause this much destruction.

"Holy crap! That was so cool!!"

"Was that a gun just now? It looked like a railgun!"

"The electric light dancing at your fingertips is the unwavering faith of my life!"

"Big brother, you are my god!" The students erupted in enthusiastic cheers.

Qin Ze stared blankly at Duan Chen's retreating figure, his heart burning with aspiration towards the Spirit Hunter Agents and a desire for powerful supernatural abilities.

Michelle sprinted over, wanting to hug Big Brother Duan Chen with open arms, but a figure flashed past her and deliberately bumped her, causing her to stumble and nearly fall.

That person was Sun Xiaoxiao.

She tugged at Duan Chen's suit sleeve, her eyes shining with immense admiration. "God-tier, do you need a leg accessory? I can do it, I can do anything!"

"Sun Xiaoxiao! You, you have no shame!" Michelle stomped her foot in anger, wishing she could slap her.

"Why do I have no shame? Isn't it about fighting for what you want? I'm not like you, a rich young lady who gets whatever she wants. Is it wrong for me to be proactive?"

"You! You!" Michelle’s face reddened, her eyes showing a fiery defiance.

"Come on, then. The renowned campus belle of Middle School Three, the pampered daughter of Zhong Group, wants to fight me for a man? Hmph, I don't mind sharing." Sun Xiaoxiao provocatively looked at Michelle.

Just as the two beautiful girls were about to fight, Duan Chen gently shook off Sun Xiaoxiao and looked towards the restroom.

A pile of minced flesh lay in the ruins, two broken tentacles twitching slightly. Teacher Liu, with only half his face remaining and his blood-soaked, tree-shaped eyes wide open, still had a trace of consciousness.

The wall connecting the restroom and the corridor had been blown open, revealing a perfectly intact mirror, hanging conspicuously before everyone.

On the mirror, drawn with red ink visible only to Spirit Hunters, was an intricate and bizarre magic circle. The circular formation flickered with eerie light, slowly rotating like a clock!

Mirror, sea monster, crossing over, array...

"This mirror is a connection point!" Duan Chen and Wu Suowei exchanged glances. "That blast just now, and the mirror didn't even shatter."

"Most likely, we need to break it from the inside," Wu Suowei said calmly.

"Ha, found the nest." Duan Chen grinned excitedly.

With the nullification of the air domain, all destruction occurred in the real world. Such a huge commotion alerted the entire teaching building.

Students and teachers from downstairs rushed upstairs.

"Was that an earthquake?!"

"Holy hell, run!"

"Do you know what we just went through? Do you believe in light? Ultraman fought a monster!"

"Huh? The restroom's gone? How come only the mirror is intact?"

Several students who had climbed up from downstairs curiously approached the mirror, looking at it from all sides. The mirror reflected their youthful faces. One boy suddenly laughed.

"Haha, what did you eat that got your face so messed up."

Another boy touched his face in confusion. "I didn't eat anything? That's weird, why does your face look distorted?"

Duan Chen's pupils contracted. He shouted:

"Don't look in the mirror!"

"Don't look in the mirror!!"

The students were startled. The more they were told not to look, the more curious they became. They figured it was just looking in a mirror, why the fuss? Was this person sick?

"Damn it, get away from the mirror!!" Duan Chen's eyes bulged, and he rushed forward.

The two students looked at the mirror's surface and saw a faint black shadow approaching from the distance, and then—

Themselves in the mirror cracked open.

"Haha, fuck, how did your head split open?"

"Yours too, it's even oozing! Hahaha, is this some kind of latest funhouse mirror?"

They laughed and turned to look at each other, then froze—

In the horrified black pupils of the other, they saw the image of themselves cracking, only then realizing the mirror wasn't a mere illusion!

"I'm cracking!! Ahhhhh—"

Their eyes wide with terror, they rolled their eyes and collapsed.

Everyone present, teachers and students alike, witnessed the scene. For a moment, they forgot to flee, their legs rooted to the spot as if cast in lead.

Then—

The mirror moved.

Ripples spread across its surface like water.

It seemed someone was emerging from within.

"Octo... you guy, you're finally here! Damn it, get revenge for me!!" The minced Teacher Liu let out a wild laugh.

Duan Chen's heart sank to the bottom, his sense of danger reaching its peak. He quickly retreated, pushing Michelle and Sun Xiaoxiao back into the classroom.

A massive tentacle pierced the mirror and descended from above.

*Boom!*

Duan Chen gritted his teeth and rolled to the side. The spot where he had just stood was smashed into a large pit. Wherever the tentacle passed, even reinforced concrete walls were deeply gouged.

"Be careful, Brother Duan Chen!" Michelle screamed in alarm.
