Teacher Liu smiled, and a bizarre, pitch-black tree, identical to the one in Zhong Xingwen’s eyes, materialized in his pupils!
“Class, would you like to visit the bottom of the sea?”
“???”
The three female students were completely bewildered. Before they could answer, they felt a chill in their chests.
They slowly looked down and saw… a bloody hole.
Then, their heads lolled to the side, and they collapsed together.
“Ahhhhhh!!!”
Fear, like a black snake, slithered into every student’s heart. They cowered, their faces ashen.
Many girls hugged each other and wept. Compared to the unknown monsters, the teacher who had suddenly gone on a killing spree was what filled the students with the most despair.
The bizarre events had descended too suddenly; they hadn't even had time to prepare themselves before being swept into this terrifying revelry.
“Damn it!!” Duan Chen’s eyes turned bloodshot as he witnessed three girls having their hearts ripped out.
“Hey, hey, where are you looking?” The sea monster ‘Gao Lele’ grinned and attacked with its tentacles.
Duan Chen was forced to break away from his thoughts and engage the enemy, clashing with ‘Gao Lele’.
The frantic escape began. Students from other classes also rushed out. Seeing Teacher Liu licking the blood from his hands with a smile, they all recoiled in horror.
“Teacher Liu, what’s wrong?!” a girl cried out.
“Shut up! He’s still holding a classmate’s heart! He’s not a teacher, he’s a monster!”
“Oh no! The way… the way is blocked!”
Another tall boy shouted in panic.
A few of those who ran faster had reached the stairwell, only to find an invisible barrier blocking the path. No matter how hard they pushed or kicked, it was useless.
“Damn it!”
Qin Ze immediately turned back and rushed into the classroom. He tried to force open the window, but it seemed welded shut. He swung a chair and smashed it against the glass—
*Bang.* A dull thud. The glass remained unmoved.
“It’s over.” Qin Ze gritted his teeth, his expression grim.
Suddenly, a pale, ghost-faced monster violently crashed against the windowpane from outside. Its contorted face, pressed against the glass through white cloth, stretched into a chilling, eerie grin.
The students screamed in terror and huddled into the corners.
*Screeeech!*
Four sharp claws emerged from within the white cloth, raking long, deep gouges across the glass with a spine-chilling screech.
Then, this ghost-faced monster, standing over two meters tall, began to seep through the windowpane, bit by bit.
*Crack!*
Its claws landed on a desk by the window with a crisp sound. Then, it darted like a phantom towards a few girls weeping in the corner of the classroom.
“Run!” Qin Ze yelled at them.
The girl wearing the smiling face hairpin in the back stumbled and fell forward. She instinctively reached for the hand of the short-haired girl next to her, but the short-haired girl looked at her in terror.
She did not extend her hand.
The next moment, the ghost-faced monster’s claws pierced through the hairpin girl’s body.
Blood splattered, and limbs tore.
Her entire body was engulfed by the white cloth, her arm still desperately clawing outwards, reaching for the short-haired girl, digging until her fingertips bled, leaving a stark crimson trail on the floor.
“Sun Xiaoxiao!!!” she screamed in despair, her eyes blood red.
Deep despair and boundless hatred surged within her. In this moment of life and death, she seemed to want to drag the short-haired girl to hell with her.
But Sun Xiaoxiao fled. She, too, had a terrified look on her face, trembling all over.
When she looked back, her once good friend had been gnawed beyond recognition by the ghost-faced monster, lifeless.
Even in death, her eyes were wide with fury, staring unblinkingly. The exquisite smiling face hairpin, lying in the pool of blood, was mockingly glaring—
It was a birthday gift from Sun Xiaoxiao.
Sadness washed over Sun Xiaoxiao, and tears streamed down her face. Everything had happened too fast, and she couldn’t accept it. She wanted to hide behind the door, but the classmates behind the door looked at her with apprehension.
Their gazes were like knives, as if they were looking at a murderer.
“Sun Xiaoxiao, you actually pushed Kong Ning out!? You killed her!”
“She was your best friend!”
“You’re so scary! Is your heart black?”
Sun Xiaoxiao looked at her hands, trembling, then looked back at her friend, who was almost completely consumed by the ghost-faced monster, her face ashen.
“I… I just wanted to live. I didn’t push her, I didn’t want to harm her.”
“What did I do wrong!” Sun Xiaoxiao sobbed, covering her face with her hands.
Meanwhile, the ghost-faced monster, having finished with one, quickly turned its predatory gaze back towards them. A chase, like ‘hawk catching chicks,’ began.
To their despair, there was far more than just one ‘hawk.’
On the blackboard, behind the door, in the corridor, on the walls, in the murals…
More and more pale claws reached out. Those who weren't careful were caught, leaving wounds that went deep to the bone.
The students had nowhere to hide, and cries of anguish rose one after another. Sun Xiaoxiao abruptly wiped away her tears, her eyes red. Her face suddenly contorted into a savage expression.
“Since you all see me as a murderer, and you’re saints who aren’t afraid of death, then die!”
She violently grabbed a girl and used her as a shield. As the spectral claws descended from the void, she shoved the classmate into them and escaped unharmed.
“You’re insane!” Qin Ze frantically saved the attacked girl and, with a few other brothers, formed a fragile defense line, protecting the trembling girls behind them.
But they refused to accept Sun Xiaoxiao, excluding her.
Sun Xiaoxiao clenched her fists in grief and suddenly let out a contemptuous smile.
“You all can stay here and wait to die, you fools!” She rushed towards the corridor with no regard for anything else.
She knew that the classmates in the classroom could not possibly deal with the terrifying monsters. There was only one truly safe place—by Duan Chen’s side.
Meanwhile, Duan Chen was growing increasingly anxious.
While a great escape was happening elsewhere, he was being held back by a tentacle monster. He had to deal with Teacher Liu quickly, or all these students would die!
If only he had a helper…
“Are you looking for me?” Wu Suowei, one hand holding a flashlight and a stun baton at his waist, walked from the end of the corridor towards the classroom.
