Chapter 28: First Confrontation With The World

Chapter 28: First Confrontation With The World

The whole room lit up in orange flames while the darkness filled the outside. As the figure of the woman continues to solidify.

The black chains emerged from the void, binding the woman’s body within them.

A loud screech of a woman rang in the whole house, and an unknown veiling sound came from the depths of the void.

A black shadow carrying a scythe emerged behind the burning woman, stretching his hand to grab her. But as it came into touch with Orange flames, they burned ashes.

The Black shadow quickly withdrew its hands, staring at me with hollow eyes. At the same time, Origin flames almost melted all the black chain surrounding the white figure.

’Well, I didn’t expect to have such a big commotion.’

Luckily, Origin Flames didn’t disappoint me. The Black shadow vanished as the woman’s body completely came to life. Breaking all the chains.

As I thought it was all over, suddenly a golden eye emerged in the void just for a second before vanishing, but it broke the woman’s body into pieces.

’Fuck!’

I quickly spread the Origin Flames, letting it show its true power without constraints. Orange flames burned in the whole, cracking through the void. An unknown cosmic world emerged in the small room, a world of orange.

’What beautiful sight.’

Slowly, the Orange, White nebula shrank with time. The room again became normal, but now there’s a big Orange Egg in the middle of the room, burning in the Orange Flames.

I stared at the Orange egg for a few seconds before Little Black went forward to check.

As he moved closer, a crack appeared on the burning egg. Little Black didn’t flinch and continued to stare at the egg. Only an inch away from it.

More and more cracks appeared one after another. In less than a minute, whole eggs crumble into tiny flame particles. And a woman appeared.

Um...

I turned around, seeing my action, and the immortal kid also turned his back to the woman. Taking out a few clothes, he threw them at the back.

After a minute, a hesitant, confused yet sweet voice came from behind.

"You... I... Thank you."

Hearing her words, I turned around to look at her. Her body was wrapped in a black cloak. When I looked at her face. It’s just like before when she is in ghost form, but slightly more beautiful. Though her appearance didn’t change much, changes were there; her eyes were just like normal humans, yet they carried a spark hidden in the midst of the black.

Well, it’s getting late, and I have to catch up on my sleep. We will talk later. I turned, leaving my words behind, followed by Little Black.

As I was walking, the Immortal kid also followed behind. I looked at his.

’He definitely has a lot of questions to ask.’

Do you want to know why I helped her?

"Hm"

Well, it’s all about timing. She was lucky enough to appear when I was in a good mood, and a bit about the external factors, too.

"Oh, thank..."

I entered the room, closing the door in his face. Little black, are you sleepy too? I grabbed my walking pillow as we both fell asleep.

...

In the morning,

I woke up and smelled something delicious. When I looked around, Little black wasn’t here. I stood up lazily, walking towards where the smell was coming from.

When I walked out, I saw Little Black and Immortal Kid having a meal without inviting me. As I look at them, a woman wearing a black cloak comes carrying a pot. Seeing me standing there, she quickly bowed to me. Placing the pot at the table.

"Young Master..."

She opened her mouth to say something, but was cut off by Little Black bark.

Woof! Woof!

"You want more."

Woof! Woof!

No, he doesn’t want.

Woof! Woof!

Fuck off, how much are you gonna eat? Do you want to become like Fatty?

Awo...

Um... Just one more bowl.

Woof! Woof!

Swinging his quickly, he started to devour his food happily.

I also sat down while the woman served me a meal. In the meantime, the woman sat silently without uttering a word.

I looked at her.

So, do you have anything to say?

"Young Master, why did you save me?"

Well... I don’t know. Or you were just lucky.

"..."

She remained silent, not knowing what to say.

I stood up.

Let’s continue our journey; it’s getting late.

Hearing my words, Immortal Kid quickly stood up, heading outside to prepare the carriage. While Little Black stood sluggishly following behind.

As I was walking, a footstep followed behind. I turned around and spoke.

You don’t need to follow us.

"Um... but here is nothing that I can live for."

Don’t you have yourself? Who else do you need?

"Except for the past, there’s nothing left here for me."

So, you want to tag along.

"Hm"

I looked at her eyes; there was something enchanting about them, which was stopping me from denying her request.

Ok, you can follow me.

After this journey began again, there is now one more person with us. Now, I have a personal cook making the journey livelier.

While travelling with her, I got to know a bit more about what exactly happened to her.

She has two children, a girl and a boy. That night, those people not only killed her and her husband, but they also rapped her, and what happened to the kids who were in another room, she doesn’t know.

Guessing isn’t hard, though; they were either killed or sold as slaves.

Well, the simplest and common stories are always the darkest ones. Cause these things we heard or saw so many times, we became used to them. Without realising how dark it is.

I looked outside, and the sky was filled with dark clouds, likely about to rain. The wind was becoming stronger. A storm is about to come.
